In transformation induced plasticity (TRIP) steel a diffusionless austenitic-martensitic phase transformation induced by plastic deformation can be observed, resulting in excellent macroscopic properties. In particular low-alloyed TRIP steels, which can be obtained at lower production costs than high-alloyed TRIP steel, combine this mechanism with a heterogeneous arrangement of different phases at the microscale, namely ferrite, bainite, and retained austenite. The macroscopic behavior is governed by a complex interaction of the phases at the micro-level and the inelastic phase transformation from retained austenite to martensite. A reliable model for low-alloyed TRIP steel should therefore account for these microstructural processes to achieve an accurate macroscopic prediction. To enable this, we focus on a multiscale method often referred to as FE2 approach, see [6]. In order to obtain a reasonable representative volume element, a three-dimensional statistically similar representative volume element (SSRVE) [1] can be used. Thereby, also computational costs associated with FE2 calculations can be significantly reduced at a comparable prediction quality. The material model used here to capture the above mentioned microstructural phase transformation is based on [3] which was proposed for high alloyed TRIP steels, see also e.g. [8]. Computations based on the proposed two-scale approach are presented here for a three dimensional boundary value problem to show the evolution of phase transformation at the microscale and its effects on the macroscopic properties. Electrokinetic particle translocation through a nanopore containing a floating electrode is investigated by solving a continuum model, composed of the coupled Poisson-Nernst-Planck (PNP) equations for the ionic mass transport and the modified Stokes equations for the flow field. Two effects due to the presence of the floating electrode, the induced-charge electroosmosis (ICEO) and the particle-floating electrode electrostatic interaction, could significantly affect the electrokinetic mobility of DNA nanoparticles. When the electrical double layers (EDLs) of the DNA nanoparticle and the floating electrode are not overlapped, the particle-floating electrode electrostatic interaction becomes negligible. As a result, the DNA nanoparticle could be trapped near the floating electrode arising from the induced-charge electroosmosis when the applied electric field is relatively high. The presence of the floating electrode attracts more ions inside the nanopore resulting in an increase in the ionic current flowing through the nanopore; however, it has a limited effect on the deviation of the current from its base current when the particle is far from the pore. 相似文献

A new linear trinuclear nickel(II) complex, [Ni3L2(OCn)4] (HL = 2-[(3-dimethylamino-propylimino)-methyl]-phenol, OCn = cinnamate), with phenoxo bridge and a novel tridentate bridging mode (in a 2.21 fashion according to Harris notation), of the cinnamate ligand has been synthesized and characterized by IR spectroscopy, UV-Vis spectroscopy, X-ray crystallography and static magnetic measurements. The molecular structure shows that each nickel ion occupies octahedral coordinating geometry. Apart from the phenoxo bridges, the carboxylic group of cinnamic anion shows two types of bridging modes viz. 2.11 and 2.21. The magnetic data indicate that a moderate intramolecular ferromagnetic and a weak intermolecular antiferromagnetic interaction are present in the complex under study. Broken symmetry density functional theory has been used to estimate the sign and magnitude of the coupling constants to understand the magnetic exchange mechanisms of the present system. The relative abilities of different bridging groups to mediate magnetic exchange interactions between paramagnetic nickel centers have been investigated by DFT calculation with variable angles. The results show that a small change in phenoxo-bridging angle has a very strong impact on the magnetic properties. 相似文献

We follow the vapor-liquid phase transition of N(2) in a cryogenic supersonic nozzle apparatus using static pressure measurements. Under our operating conditions, condensation always occurs well below the triple point. Mean field kinetic nucleation theory (MKNT) does a better job of predicting the conditions corresponding to the estimated maximum nucleation rates, J(max) = 10(17±1) cm(-3) s(-1), than two variants of classical nucleation theory. Combining the current results with the nucleation pulse chamber measurements of Iland et al. [J. Chem. Phys. 130, 114508-1 (2009)], we use nucleation theorems to estimate the critical cluster properties. Both the theories overestimate the size of the critical cluster, but MKNT does a good job of estimating the excess internal energy of the clusters. 相似文献

This paper describes the production, characteristics, and efficacy of carbon microfibers and carbon nanofibers for the removal of phenol and Pb(2+) from water by adsorption. The first adsorbent produced in the current investigation contained the ammonia (NH(3)) functionalized micron-sized activated carbon fibers (ACF). Alternatively, the second adsorbent consisted of a multiscale web of ACF/CNF, which was prepared by growing carbon nanofibers (CNFs) on activated ACFs via catalytic chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and sonication, which was conducted to remove catalytic particles from the CNF tips and open the pores of the CNFs. The two adsorbents prepared in the present study, ACF and ACF/CNF, were characterized by several analytical techniques, including SEM-EDX and FT-IR. Moreover, the chemical composition, BET surface area, and pore-size distribution of the materials were determined. The hierarchal web of carbon microfibers and nanofibers displayed a greater adsorption capacity for Pb(2+) than ACF. Interestingly, the adsorption capacity of ammonia (NH(3)) functionalized ACFs for phenol was somewhat larger than that of the multiscale ACF/CNF web. Difference in the adsorption capacity of the adsorbents was attributed to differences in the size of the solutes and their reactivity towards ACF and ACF/CNF. The results indicated that ACF-based materials were efficient adsorbents for the removal of inorganic and organic solutes from wastewater. 相似文献

In the present paper, photovoltaic studies of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) based on betacyanin/TiO2 and betacyanin/WO3–TiO2 have been done. The cell performances were compared through I–V curves and wavelength dependant photocurrent measurements for the two new types of DSSCs. The TiO2-coated DSSC showed the photovoltage and photocurrent of 300 mV and 4.96 mA/cm2, whereas the cell employing WO3–TiO2 photoelectrode showed the values 435 mV and 9.86 mA/cm2, respectively. The conversion efficiency of TiO2 based dye-sensitized solar cell was found to be 0.69 %, while WO3–TiO2-based cell exhibited a higher conversion efficiency of 2.2 %. The better performance of the WO3–TiO2 dye-sensitized solar cell photoelectrode is thought to be due to an inherent energy barrier at the electrode/electrolyte interface leading to the reduced recombination of photoinduced electrons. 相似文献

This paper presents a parameter for objectively evaluating singing voice quality. Power spectrum of vowel sound / a / was analyzed by Fast Fourier Transform. The greatest harmonics peak between 2 and 4 kHz and the greatest harmonics peak between 0 and 2 kHz were identified. Power ratio of these peaks, termed singing power ratio (SPR), was calculated in 37 singers and 20 nonsingers. SPR of sung / a / in singers was significantly greater than in nonsingers. In singers, SPR of sung / a / was significantly greater than that of spoken / a /. By digital signal processing, power spectrum of sung / a / was varied, and the processed sounds were perceptually analyzed. SPR had a significant relationship with perceptual scores of “ringing” quality. SPR provides an important quantitative measurement for evaluating singing voice quality for all voice types, including soprano. 相似文献

Recognizing the tsunamigenic potential of an earthquake presents a challenge in the context of studies devoted to early warnings of tsunami events. In this paper, we show the feasibility of discriminating between tsunamigenic and non-tsunamigenic earthquakes by analyzing seismograms on the basis of the Fisher–Shannon method, which is used to analyze the order/organization structure of a complex and nonstationary time series. The results obtained results show that by combining the measures of the Shannon entropy power and the Fisher information measure, the discrimination between the two groups—tsunamigenic and non-tsunamigenic earthquakes—is very efficiently achieved. These results could contribute to the assessment of tsunami early warning systems. 相似文献
