An analysis of data of target fragments of 28Si-AgBr (at 14.5 AGeV) reveals the existence of emission asymmetry in the azimuthal plane, which is found to depend on the number of target fragments. The comparison with the data of 32S-AgBr (at 200 AGeV) and 16O-AgBr (at 60 AGeV) interactions indicates that emission asymmetry depends on the projectile mass and energy.  相似文献

The softening of the IR active 300 cm−1 phonon mode in Tl-2223 superconductor, aroundT c has been explained by considering a sixth order polarization potential at the off-center oxygen ion site in the Tl-O plane, and by using a nonlinear lattice dynamical theory. The present theory explains, more or less satisfactorily, the unusual temperature dependence of oxygen ion vibration and frequency shifts at higher temperature. The existence of strong nonlinear electron-phonon interaction atT c has been emphasized.  相似文献

A microfocus X‐ray fluorescence spectroscopy beamline (BL‐16) at the Indian synchrotron radiation facility Indus‐2 has been constructed with an experimental emphasis on environmental, archaeological, biomedical and material science applications involving heavy metal speciation and their localization. The beamline offers a combination of different analytical probes, e.g. X‐ray fluorescence mapping, X‐ray microspectroscopy and total‐external‐reflection fluorescence characterization. The beamline is installed on a bending‐magnet source with a working X‐ray energy range of 4–20 keV, enabling it to excite K‐edges of all elements from S to Nb and L‐edges from Ag to U. The optics of the beamline comprises of a double‐crystal monochromator with Si(111) symmetric and asymmetric crystals and a pair of Kirkpatrick–Baez focusing mirrors. This paper describes the performance of the beamline and its capabilities with examples of measured results.  相似文献

When a voltage pulse is applied under forward biased condition to a spin-coated bilayer organic light-emitting diode (OLED), then initially the electroluminescence (EL) intensity appearing after a delay time, increases with time and later on it attains a saturation value. At the end of the voltage pulse, the EL intensity decreases with time, attains a minimum intensity and then it again increases with time, attains a peak value and later on it decreases with time. For the OLEDs, in which the lifetime of trapped carriers is less than the decay time of the EL occurring prior to the onset of overshoot, the EL overshoot begins just after the end of voltage pulse. The overshoot in spin-coated bilayer OLEDs is caused by the presence of an interfacial layer of finite thickness between hole and electron transporting layers in which both transport molecules coexist, whereby the interfacial energy barrier impedes both hole and electron passage. When a voltage pulse is applied to a bilayer OLED, positive and negative space charges are established at the opposite faces of the interfacial layer. Subsequently, the charge recombination occurs with the incoming flux of injected carriers of opposite polarity. When the voltage is turned off, the interfacial charges recombine under the action of their mutual electric field. Thus, after switching off the external voltage the electrons stored in the interface next to the anode cell compartment experience an electric field directed from cathode to anode, and therefore, the electrons move towards the cathode, that is, towards the positive space charge, whereby electron–hole recombination gives rise to luminescence. The EL prior to onset of overshoot is caused by the movement of electrons in the electron transporting states, however, the EL in the overshoot region is caused by the movement of detrapped electrons. On the basis of the rate equations for the detrapping and recombination of charge carriers accumulated at the interface expressions are derived for the transient EL intensity I, time tm and intensity Im corresponding to the peak of EL overshoot, total EL intensity It and decay of the intensity of EL overshoot. In fact, the decay prior to the onset of EL overshoot is the decay of number of electrons moving in the electron transporting states. The ratio Im/Is decreases with increasing value of the applied pulse voltage because Im increases linearly with the amplitude of applied voltage pulse and Is increases nonlinearly and rapidly with the increasing amplitude of applied voltage pulse. The lifetime τt of electrons at the interface decreases with increasing temperature whereby the dependence of τt on temperature follows Arrhenius plot. This fact indicates that the detrapping involves thermally-assisted tunneling of electrons. Using the EL overshoot in bilayer OLEDs, the lifetime of the charge carriers at the interface, recombination time of charge carriers, decay time of the EL prior to onset of overshoot, and the time delay between the voltage pulse and onset time of the EL overshoot can be determined. The intense EL overshoot of nanosecond or shorter time duration may be useful in digital communication, and moreover, the EL overshoot gives important information about the processes involving injection, transport and recombination of charge carriers. The criteria for appearance of EL overshoot in bilayer OLEDs are explored. A good agreement is found between the theoretical and experimental results.  相似文献

A quantum hydrodynamical study is made of the dynamical changes of a helium atom interacting with lasers of two different intensities, but having the same frequency. Under the intense laser field, electron density oozes out of the helium atom by absorbing laser photons and getting promoted to higher excited states including the continuum. Under the superintense field, electron density partly moves away from the helium nucleus but remains in the “quasi-bound” dressed states along with the laser field, thus suppressing ionization.  相似文献

We study a doubly resonant optical parametric oscillator where the pump can feed two pairs of signal-idler modes. We assume the presence of gain at the pump frequency. We investigate the various oscillation states of interest, namely, when only the first pair oscillates with the other pair having null amplitudes and vice versa. We demonstrate the exchange of dynamics between the mode pairs when the relevant parameters of the cavity, namely, the phase mismatch factors or the decay rates switch because of fluctuations. The exchange of dynamics is shown to be independent of the nature of dynamics, i.e. independent of whether the motion isn-periodic or chaotic. We also investigate the case where both the pairs can exhibit chaotic dynamics though these states are difficult to realize because of fluctuations.  相似文献

Damping contributions from the viscoelastic matrix, interphase and the dissipation resulting from damage sites are considered to evaluate composite material damping coefficients in various loading modes. The paper presents the results of the FEM/Strain energy investigations carried out to predict anisotropic-damping matrix comprising of loss factors η11, η22, η12 and η23 considering the dissipation of energy due to fiber and matrix (two phase) and correlate the same with various micromechanical theories. Damping in three phase (i.e., fiber-interphase-matrix) composite is also calculated as an attempt to understand the effect of interphase. The contribution of energy dissipation due to sliding at the fiber-matrix interface is incorporated to evaluate its effect on η11, η22, η12 and η23 in fiber-reinforced composite having damage in the form of hairline debonding. Comparative studies of the various micromechanical theories/models with FEM/Strain energy method for the prediction of damping coefficients have shown consistency when both the effect of variable nature of stress and the fiber interaction is considered. Parametric damping studies for three phase composite have shown that the change in properties of fiber, matrix and interphase leads to a change in the magnitude of effectiveness of interphase, but the manner in which the interphase would affect the various loss factors depends predominately upon whether the hard or soft interphase is chosen. Analysis of the effect of damage on composite damping indicates that it is sensitive to its orientation and type of loading.  相似文献

New filtering scheme is investigated and implemented on digital speckle pattern interferometric fringes to enhance the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) in the speckle interferograms. To establish the potential of new filtering scheme the experiment was conducted on the vibrating cantilever beam. Experimental results revealed that the new filtering scheme is more powerful than other known filtering schemes (Kumar et al. Opt Laser Eng 2004;41:81–93. Kumar et al. Opt Eng 1996;35:9–14). The new scheme reduced the speckle noise and improved SNR in speckle interferograms. Further, the new investigated filtering scheme is implemented to study the mode shapes of square plates under two different boundary conditions. In the first condition all the edges of the square plate were fixed while in the second condition two adjacent edges were fixed and the remaining two edges were free. From the experimental results it is clear that the mode shapes are more distinctly visible with the implementation of the new filtering scheme as compared to other known schemes. Under both the boundary conditions the recorded resonance frequencies were compared with the calculated values of resonance frequencies based on classical theory. The results obtained form DSPI show good agreement with classical theory.  相似文献
