In this paper, we study an extension of the bivariate Lupa?–Durrmeyer operators based on Polya distribution. For these operators we get a Voronovskaja type theorem and the order of approximation using Peetre’s K-functional. Then, we construct the Generalized Boolean Sum operators of Lupa?–Durrmeyer type and estimate the degree of approximation in terms of the mixed modulus of smoothness. 相似文献

Whey is a byproduct of the dairy industry, which has prospects of using as a source for production of various valuable compounds. The lactose present in whey is considered as an environmental pollutant and its utilization for enzyme and fuel production, may be effective for whey bioremediation. The dairy yeast Kluyveromyces marxianus have the ability to utilize lactose sharply as the major carbon source for the production of the enzyme. Five strains were tested for the production of the β-galactosidase using whey. The maximum β-galactosidase activity of 1.74 IU/mg dry weight was achieved in whey using K. marxianus MTCC 1389. The biocatalyst was further immobilized on chitosan macroparticles and exhibited excellent functional activity at 35 °C. Almost 89 % lactose hydrolysis was attained for concentrated whey (100 g/L) and retained 89 % catalytic activity after 15 cycles of reuse. Finally, β-galactosidase was immobilized on chitosan and Saccharomyces cerevisiae on calcium alginate, and both were used together for the production of ethanol from concentrated whey. Maximal ethanol titer of 28.9 g/L was achieved during fermentation at 35 °C. The conclusions generated by employing two different matrices will be beneficial for the future modeling using engineered S. cerevisiae in scale-up studies. 相似文献

A simple, efficient, and environmentally benign protocol for the synthesis of vicinal iodohydrins and iodoesters from olefins using NH4I and Oxone in CH3CN/H2O (1:1) and dimethylformamide (DMF) / dimethylacetamide (DMA), respectively, without employing a catalyst at room temperature is described. Regio- and stereoselective iodohydroxylation and iodoesterification of various olefins with anti fashion, following Markonikov’s rule, was achieved and the corresponding products were obtained in good to excellent yields. Easily accessible heteroaromatic carboxylic acids and diaryliodonium salts were successfully employed to construct valuable 2‐arylindoles and heteroaryl carboxylates in a regioselective fashion. C2‐arylated indoles were produced using a Pd‐catalyzed decarboxylative strategy in water without any base, oxidant, or ligand. Heteroaryl carboxylates were prepared under metal and base‐free conditions. This protocol was successfully utilized to synthesize Paullone, a cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) inhibitor. 相似文献

An enantioselective total synthesis of (+)-jasplakinolide is described. The synthesis of the polyketide template utilized a diastereoselective syn-aldol, ortho-ester Claisen rearrangement followed by efficient conversion to a cyanide. The beta-amino acid unit was constructed in a highly diastereoselective manner utilizing nucleophilic addition to a chiral sulfinimine. Yamaguchi macrocyclization and removal of the protecting group provided a convenient access to (+)-jasplakinolide. 相似文献

A simple and fast method was developed using RP-HPLC for separation and quantitative determination of vanillin and related phenolic compounds in ethanolic extract of pods of Vanilla planifolia. Ten phenolic compounds, namely 4-hydroxybenzyl alcohol, vanillyl alcohol, 3,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde, 4-hydroxybenzoic acid, vanillic acid, 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde, vanillin, p-coumaric acid, ferulic acid, and piperonal were quantitatively determined using ACN, methanol, and 0.2% acetic acid in water as a mobile phase with a gradient elution mode. The method showed good linearity, high precision, and good recovery of compounds of interest. The present method would be useful for analytical research and for routine analysis of vanilla extracts for their quality control. 相似文献

This article demonstrates the potential of encapsulated, engineered Lactococcus lactis as a vehicle for the oral delivery of therapeutic proteins. Using alginate-poly-l-lysine-alginate membrane-encapsulated L. lactis engineered to secrete the reporter protein Staphylococcal aureus nuclease, we show comparable viability and protein secretion between free and immobilized cells. After 12 h, microcapsules
with a cell density of 4.8 × 105 colony forming unit (CFU) ml−1 grew to 2.2 × 108 CFU ml−1 and released 0.24 arbitrary unit (AU) ml−1 of nuclease, producing similar results as free cells, which grew from 3.4 × 105 to 1.9 × 108 CFU ml−1 and secreted 0.21 AU ml−1 of nuclease. Moreover, encapsulated cells at a density of 4.4 × 107 CFU ml−1 grew to 2.2 × 1010 CFU ml−1 in 12 h and secreted 15.3 AU ml−1 of nuclease although 3.1 × 107 CFU ml−1 of free cells reached only 2.3 × 109 CFU ml−1 and released 5.6 AU ml−1 of nuclease. In this paper, we report the generation of Au nanoparticles (NPs), using a pure enzyme for the reduction of AuCl4(-), with the retention of enzymatic activity in the complex. As a model system, alpha-amylase was used to readily synthesize and stabilize Au NPs in aqueous solution. Although several other enzymes were also pursued for the synthesis, it was interesting to observe that only alpha-amylase and EcoRI could produce Au NPs. Following NP synthesis, the activity of the enzyme was retained in the Au NP-alpha-amylase complex. The presence of Au NPs and alpha-amylase in the complex was established by UV-visible and FT-IR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopic (TEM) measurements. Our observations suggest that the presence of free and exposed S-H groups is essential in the reduction of AuCl4(-) to Au NPs. Structural analysis of the enzymes showed that both alpha-amylase and EcoRI enzymes have free and exposed S-H groups in their native form and thus are suitable for the generation of NPs, whereas the other ones used here do not have such groups. Fortuitously, the enzymatic functional group of alpha-amylase is positioned opposite to that of the free and exposed S-H group, which makes it ideal for the production of Au NPs; binding of the enzyme to Au NPs via Au-S bond and also retention of the biological activity of the enzyme. 相似文献

The reducing property of an organically soluble conducting polymer (poly(o-methoxyaniline), POMA) is used to prepare monodisperse, size-controlled, highly populated, and highly stable silver nanoparticles in an organic medium through an interfacial redox process with an aqueous AgNO3 solution. The transition of emeraldine base (EB) to the pernigraniline base (PB) form of POMA occurs during nanoparticle formation, and the nitrogen atoms of POMA(PB) stabilize Ag nanoparticles by coordination to the adsorbed Ag(+) on the nanoparticle surface. The conductivity of the nanocomposite is on the order of 10(-11) S/cm, indicating that no doping of POMA occurs under the preparation conditions. The nanoparticles are free of excess oxidant and external stabilizer particles. The POMA (EB) concentration tailors the size of nanoparticles, and at its higher concentration (0.01% POMA with 0.01 N AgNO3), very dense Ag nanoparticles (6 x 10(15) particles/m(2)) of almost uniform size and shape are produced. The rate constant and Avrami exponent values of the nanoparticle formation are measured from the time-dependent UV-vis spectra using the Avrami equation. The Avrami exponent (n) values are close to 1, indicating 2D athermal nucleation with the circular shape of the nuclei having diffusion-controlled growth. The rate constant values are almost independent of AgNO3 concentration but are strongly dependent on POMA concentration. The higher rate constant with increasing POMA(EB) concentration has been attributed for the lowering of nanoparticle size due to increased nucleation density. 相似文献

In this letter, we report the observations of specific pattern formation from the evaporation of aqueous droplets containing motile and nonmotile bacteria. We found that when motile bacteria were present the droplet evaporated into disclike patterned deposits of bacteria. However, when the bacteria were made nonmotile by treatment with liquid nitrogen, the droplet evaporated into ringlike deposits. We also observed that bacteria with higher motility produced more uniformly deposited disclike patterns. Furthermore, we propose a model with numerical simulations to explain the mechanism of formation of these patterns. The model is based on the advective fluid flow from the center of the droplet toward the edge due to enhanced evaporation from the edge of the pinned droplet in comparison to that from the free surface. For the case of motile bacteria, we have added another velocity parameter toward the axis of the droplet and directed against the fluid flow in order to account for the disclike pattern formation. The numerical simulations match the experimental observations well. The present work, by qualitative and quantitative understanding of the evaporation of bacteria droplets, demonstrates that the inherent bacterial motility is primarily responsible for the formation of these differential patterns. 相似文献
