The interaction between glucose oxidase (GOx) and phospholipid monolayers is studied at the 1,2-dichloroethane/water interface by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Electrochemical experiments show that the presence of GOx induces changes in the capacitance curves at both negative and positive potentials, which are successfully explained by a theoretical model based on the solution of the Poisson-Boltzmann equation. These changes are ascribed to a reduced partition coefficient of GOx and an increase of the permittivity of the lipid hydrocarbon domain. Our results show that the presence of lipid molecules enhances the adsorption of GOx molecules at the liquid/liquid interface. At low lipid concentrations, the adsorption of GOx is probably the first step preceding its penetration into the lipid monolayer. The experimental results indicate that GOx penetrates better and forms more stable monolayers for lipids with longer hydrophobic tails. At high GOx concentrations, the formation of multilayers is observed. The phenomenon described here is strongly dependent on 1) the GOx and lipid concentrations, 2) the nature of the lipid, and 3) the potential drop across the interface.  相似文献

Here, a modular approach is reported to introduce a specific function into single‐chain polymeric nanoparticles (SCPNs). Hereto, an amphiphilic polymer with pendant benzene‐1,3,5‐tricarboxamide (BTA) units is mixed with a “free” BTA that contains a functional group, either a fluorescent naphthalimide or a catalytically active l ‐proline. Taking advantage of hydrophobic interactions and self‐recognition properties of the BTA units, the “free” BTAs are captured into the interior of the SCPN in water as evidenced by fluorescence studies. To illustrate that function can be readily introduced using a modular approach, l ‐proline‐based BTAs are incorporated to procure a catalytically active SCPN in water. The aldol reaction between p‐nitrobenzaldehyde and cyclohexanone shows good conversions at low catalyst loadings and substrate concentrations, and high stereoselectivities are obtained (de = 91% and ee = 98%).

Carbon nitride photocatalysts have been prepared by different methodologies, such as chemical ultrasonic irradiation (sonochemical treatment), hydrothermal and ball milling and thermoexfoliation, and have been used for the selective oxidation of 5-hydroxymethyl-2-furaldehyde (HMF) to form 2,5-furandicarboxyaldehyde (FDC) in water suspension both under UV and natural solar irradiation. The physico-chemical features of the photocatalysts have been studied by X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, UV–Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, photoluminescence spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and specific surface area measurements. The results indicate that exfoliation of carbon nitrides can increase the conversion of HMF and the selectivity to FDC. In particular, samples exfoliated by both thermal and acidic ultrasonic irradiation treatments showed the best photocatalytic performance.  相似文献

In this Note we deal with the finite element approximation of a transmission problem across a prefractal curve approximating the von Koch fractal curve. We construct a mesh adapted to the geometric shape of the interface and we refine it consistently with some estimates in suitable weighted Sobolev spaces. Bi-soft segmented poly(ester urethane urea) microparticles were prepared and characterized aiming a biomedical application. Two different formulations were developed, using poly(propylene glycol), tolylene 2,4-diisocyanate terminated pre-polymer (TDI) and poly(propylene oxide)-based tri-isocyanated terminated pre-polymer (TI). A second soft segment was included due to poly(?-caprolactone) diol (PCL). Infrared spectroscopy, used to study the polymeric structure, namely its H-bonding properties, revealed a slightly higher degree of phase separation in TDI-microparticles. TI-microparticles presented slower rate of hydrolytic degradation, and, accordingly, fairly low toxic effect against macrophages. These new formulations are good candidates as non-biodegradable biomedical systems.  相似文献

Model ferric heme nitrosyl complexes, [Fe(TPP)(NO)](+) and [Fe(TPFPP)(NO)](+), where TPP is the dianion of 5,10,15,20-tetrakis-phenyl-porphyrin and TPFPP is the dianion of 5,10,15,20-tetrakis-pentafluorophenyl-porphyrin, have been obtained as isolated species by the gas phase reaction of NO with [Fe(III)(TPP)](+) and [Fe(III) (TPFPP)](+) ions delivered in the gas phase by electrospray ionization, respectively. The so-formed nitrosyl complexes have been characterized by vibrational spectroscopy also exploiting (15)N-isotope substitution in the NO ligand. The characteristic NO stretching frequency is observed at 1825 and 1859 cm(-1) for [Fe(III)(TPP)(NO)](+) and [Fe(III)(TPFPP)(NO)](+) ions, respectively, providing reference values for genuine five-coordinate Fe(III)(NO) porphyrin complexes differing only for the presence of either phenyl or pentafluorophenyl substituents on the meso positions of the porphyrin ligand. The vibrational assignment is aided by hybrid density functional theory (DFT) calculations of geometry and electronic structure and frequency analysis which clearly support a singlet spin electronic state for both [Fe(TPP)(NO)](+) and [Fe(TPFPP)(NO)](+) complexes. Both TD-DFT and CASSCF calculations suggest that the singlet ground state is best described as Fe(II)(NO(+)) and that the open-shell AFC bonding scheme contribute for a high-energy excited state. The kinetics of the NO addition reaction in the gas phase are faster for [Fe(III)(TPFPP)](+) ions by a relatively small factor, though highly reliable because of a direct comparative evaluation. The study was aimed at gaining vibrational and reactivity data on five-coordinate Fe(III)(NO) porphyrin complexes, typically transient species in solution, ultimately to provide insights into the nature of the Fe(NO) interaction in heme proteins.  相似文献

The various internal rotations and interconformational jumps of the Na-salt form of ibuprofen in the solid state were characterized in detail by means of the simultaneous analysis of a variety of low- and high-resolution NMR experiments aimed at measuring several (13)C and (1)H spectral and relaxation properties at different temperatures and frequencies. The results were first qualitatively analyzed to identify the motions of the different molecular fragments and to assign them to specific frequency regimes (slow, <10(3) Hz; intermediate, 10(3)-10(6) Hz; and fast, >10(6) Hz). Subsequently, a simultaneous fit of the experimental data sets most sensitive to each frequency range was performed by using suitable motional models, thus obtaining, for each motion, correlation times and activation energies. The motions so characterized were: the rotations of the three methyl groups and of the isobutyl group, occurring in the fast regime, and the π-flip of the phenyl ring, belonging to the intermediate motional regime. The results obtained for the Na-salt form were compared with those of the acidic form of ibuprofen, previously obtained from a similar solid-state NMR approach: despite the very similar chemical structure of the two compounds, their dynamic properties in the solid state are noticeably different.  相似文献

Solid state luminescent materials are the subject of ever growing interest both from a scientific and a technological point of view. Aggregation caused quenching (ACQ) processes however represent an obstacle to the development of most luminogens in the condensed phase. This is why particularly fascinating are those materials showing higher emission intensity in the solid state than in solution. Here we report on three 4-dialkylamino-2-benzylidene malonic acid dialkyl esters, very simple push-pull molecules, which are hardly emissive in solution and in the amorphous phase but become good emitters in the crystalline phase according to what has been indicated as crystallization induced emission (CIE). Thanks to combined emission and NMR spectroscopies at different temperatures on the prototype compound 4-dimethylamino-2-benzylidene malonic acid dimethyl ester in solution, we give full evidence that a restricted intramolecular rotation (RIR) phenomenon, in particular the hindered rotation around the aryl main axis of the compound, is at the origin of this behaviour. In addition, solid state photophysical and X-ray diffraction structural characterization allow us to identify J-dimeric interactions as responsible for the particularly intense emission of two of the three compounds. Moreover, by exploiting the compounds' acidochromic properties, applications in sensors and optoelectronics are envisaged.  相似文献
