The catalytic activity of the systems based on titanium(iv) alkoxides (Ti(OPri)4, Ti(OPri)2(OCH(CF3)2)2, and Ti(OCH(CF3)2)4) and mixtures of alkylaluminum chlorides (Et2AlCl or Et3Al2Cl3) with dibutylmagnesium in ethylene polymerization and ethylene copolymerization with propylene and 5-ethylidene-2-norbornene was studied. Ultrahigh-molecular-weight polyethylene with the molecular weight reaching 4.9 · 106 Da was found to be formed in the homopolymerization reaction, whereas copolymerization gives ter-copolymers containing propylene (up to 35 mol.%) and 5-ethylidene-2-norbornene (4.3 mol.%) units.

Using Reaction Mechanism Generator (RMG), we have automatically constructed a detailed mechanism for acetylene pyrolysis, which predicts formation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) up to pyrene. To improve the data available for formation pathways from naphthalene to pyrene, new high‐pressure limit reaction rate coefficients and species thermochemistry were calculated using a combination of electronic structure data from the literature and new quantum calculations. Pressure‐dependent kinetics for the CH potential energy surface calculated by Zádor et al. were incorporated to ensure accurate pathways for acetylene initiation reactions. After adding these new data into the RMG database, a pressure‐dependent mechanism was generated in a single RMG simulation which captures chemistry from C to C. In general, the RMG‐generated model accurately predicts major species profiles in comparison to plug‐flow reactor data from the literature. The primary shortcoming of the model is that formation of anthracene, phenanthrene, and pyrene are underpredicted, and PAHs beyond pyrene are not captured. Reaction path analysis was performed for the RMG model to identify key pathways. Notable conclusions include the importance of accounting for the acetone impurity in acetylene in accurately predicting formation of odd‐carbon species, the remarkably low contribution of acetylene dimerization to vinylacetylene or diacetylene, and the dominance of the hydrogen abstraction CH addition (HACA) mechanism in the formation pathways to all PAH species in the model. This work demonstrates the improved ability of RMG to model PAH formation, while highlighting the need for more kinetics data for elementary reaction pathways to larger PAHs.  相似文献

Background: Carnosine is a dipeptide molecule (β-alanyl-l-histidine) with anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-glycation, and chelating properties. It is used in exercise physiology as a food supplement to increase performance; however, in vitro evidence suggests that carnosine may exhibit anti-cancer properties. Methods: In this study, we investigated the effect of carnosine on breast, ovarian, colon, and leukemic cancer cell proliferation. We further examined U937 promonocytic, human myeloid leukemia cell phenotype, gene expression, and cytokine secretion to determine if these are linked to carnosine’s anti-proliferative properties. Results: Carnosine (1) inhibits breast, ovarian, colon, and leukemic cancer cell proliferation; (2) upregulates expression of pro-inflammatory molecules; (3) modulates cytokine secretion; and (4) alters U937 differentiation and phenotype. Conclusion: These effects may have implications for a role for carnosine in anti-cancer therapy.  相似文献

A simple one-pot protocol for the synthesis of benzylpyrazolyl coumarin and pyrano [2,3-c] pyrazole derivatives in the presence of potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KH2PO4) has been developed. This cascade reaction provides many advantages like environmentally benign reaction, mild reaction conditions, inexpensive catalyst, simple operation, easy workup procedure, a wide range of functional groups in good to excellent yields, and no need for column purification.  相似文献

Stimulated by a suggestion of the late Professor Jack D. Dunitz, that perdeuterated Janus face cycloalkanes may be more polar than their unlabelled forms, the deuterated isotopologue of all cis-1,2,3,4,5,6-hexafluorocyclohexane ([2H6]- 1a ) and all cis-1,2,3,4-tetrafluorocyclopentane ([2H6]- 3a ) were prepared. Computation at the B3LYP−D3 level indicated that [2H6]- 1a is not more polar than its protio form 1, however perdeuterated cyclopentane [2H6]- 3a may indeed be more polar than 3 , although the magnitude is predicted to be small. None-the-less retention time analysis on a reverse phase GC/MS column of an add-mix of 3 and [2H6]- 3a gave some indication that the per-deuterated isotopologue 3a was detected marginally before the unlabelled compound consistent with increased polarity associated with perdeuteration.  相似文献

The free solution mobilities of 26-base pair (bp) DNA oligomers containing A-tracts with and without internal ApT steps have been measured by capillary electrophoresis, using the mobility of a 26-bp random-sequence oligomer as a reference. The background electrolytes (BGEs) contained mixtures of Li+ and tetrapropylammonium (TPA+) ions, keeping the total cation concentration constant at 0.3 M. The mobility ratios equaled 1.00 in 0.3 M TPA+, indicating that the A-tract and reference oligomers had the same B-form conformation in this BGE. With increasing [Li+], the mobility ratio decreased as Li+ ions became localized in the A-tract minor groove, suggesting that the A-tract was now in the B* conformation. If the A-tract contained an internal ApT step and the oligomer contained less than ∼50% A + T, the mobility ratio reached a reduced plateau value that remained constant as the [Li+] increased to 0.3 M. However, for A-tracts without an internal ApT step and for A-tracts embedded in oligomers containing more than 50% A + T, the mobility ratios increased again at high [Li+], eventually reaching a plateau value of 1.00. Hence, DNA A-tracts in solution appear to exist as mixtures of the B and B* conformations, with the fractional concentration of each conformer depending on the [Li+], the A-tract sequence, and the total A + T content of the oligomer.  相似文献
