Iron(II) complexes of the type [Fe(L)(NCS)2] with tetradentate ligands L are well known to show spin crossover properties. However, this behavior is quite sensitive in regard to small changes of the ligand system. Starting from the thoroughly investigated complex [Fe(tmpa)(NCS)2] [tmpa = tris(2‐pyridylmethyl)amine, also abbreviated as tpa in the literature] we modified the ligand by increasing systematically the chelate ring sizes from 5 to 6 thus obtaining complexes [Fe(pmea)(NCS)2], [Fe(pmap)(NCS)2], and [Fe(tepa)(NCS)2] [pmea = N,N‐bis[(2‐pyridyl)methyl]‐2‐(2‐pyridyl)ethylamine, pmap = N,N‐bis[2‐(2‐pyridyl)ethyl]‐(2‐pyridyl)methylamine, and tepa = tris[2‐(2‐pyridyl)ethyl]amine]. All complexes were structurally characterized and spin crossover properties were investigated using Mößbauer spectroscopy, magnetic measurements, and IR/Raman analyses. The results demonstrated that only the iron complexes with tmpa and pmea showed spin crossover properties, whereas the complexes with the ligands pmap and tepa only formed high spin complexes. Furthermore, DFT calculations supported these findings demonstrating again the strong influence of ligand environment. Herein the effect of increasing the chelate ring sizes in iron(II) isothiocyanato complexes with tetradentate tripyridyl‐alkylamine ligands is clearly demonstrated. 相似文献

A mechanism is discussed which reproduces in simulations the oscillations during the methylene-blue catalyzed reduction of O2 by HS– in a continuous-flow, strirred tank reactor (CSTR). It contains 14 reactions and is based on experiments and simulations of simpler reactions including the reduction of MB+ by HS– in the absence and presence of O2 and the reactions of H2O2 and O2 with HS–. All experiments on component reactions as well as the CSTR oscillations can be simulated by the same set of reactions and rate constants. The major dynamic feature of the mechanism is the competition for MB. by the oxidizing agents O2 and H2O2 and the reducing agents HS– and HS.. 1,3,5-Trideoxy-1,3,5-tris(dimethylamino)-cis-inositol (TDCI) and 1,3,5-trideoxy-1,3,5-tris(trimethylammonio)-cis-inositol (TTCI) were prepared by methylation of 1,3,5-triamino-1,3,5-trideoxy-cis-inositol (TACI). The ability of TDCI to form both intermolecular and intramolecular H-bonds, as demonstrated by X-ray diffraction, is probably responsible for the good solubility of TDCI in almost every common solvent. TTCI was found to be a polyol of unusual high acidity (pK1 = 8.14 ± 0.02, pK2 = 13.0 ± 0.2). This phenomenon could be explained by electrostatic interactions between the charged substituents of the cyclohexane residue. 相似文献

A novel mode of reaction towards arylethynes is shown by the β-trimethylsilyl-substituted α,β-unsaturated Fischer carbene complexes 1 . A mixture of the isomeric, highly substituted spiro[4.4]nonatrienes 2 and 3 is formed by the formal insertion of three alkyne molecules and subsequent cyclization (see scheme). Claisen condensation and consecutive reduction of 3-methoxyestra-1,3,5(10)-trien-17-one theoretically leads to four diastereomers of 17-hydroxy-16-hydroxymethyl-3-methoxyestra-1,3,5(10)-triene and their further transformations give different compounds with different biological activities. High-performance liquid chromatographic methods were developed for separation of the four isomers of 17-hydroxy-16-hydroxymethyl-3-methoxyestra-1,3,5(10)-triene: reversed-phase separation on a Nucleosil ODS C18 column with water-methanol as mobile phase; and normal-phase separation on an APEX Silica column with hexane-dichloromethane-2-propanol as mobile phase. The effects of eluent composition and flow-rate on the separation were investigated. This is the first chromatographic evidence for the formation of the 16alpha,17alpha isomer in the reduction of 16-hydroxymethylene-3-methoxyestra-1,3,5(10)-trien-17-one. 相似文献

The modification of a mesoporous silica surface with Si(Ind)(CH3)2Cl and the immobilization of CpZr(NMe2)3 on this surface was studied via IR-spectroscopy. To reduce side reactions, the indenyl-modified silica was reacted with hexamethyldisilazane (HMDS) under IR-control before the CpZr(NMe2)3-immobilization. The role of the hydroxyl group protection with HMDS is discussed. The surface modifications have been repeated via Schlenk technique at the same conditions and the surface modifications were studied with 13C CP MAS–NMR, 1H MAS–NMR, elemental-, SEM- and BET-analysis. The surface species of the resulting catalysts are discussed. The precatalysts have been treated with methylaluminoxane (MAO) (Al:Zr (mol:mol)=500:1) and the resulting Zr contents (leaching-effect) are discussed. Summary. Rechargeable lithium ion cells operate at voltages of 3.5–4.5 V, which is far beyond the thermodynamic stability window of
the battery electrolyte. Strong electrolyte reduction and anode corrosion has to be anticipated, leading to irreversible loss
of electroactive material and electrolyte and thus strongly deteriorating cell performance. To minimize these reactions, anode
and electrolyte components have to be combined that induce the electrolyte reduction products to form an effectively protecting
film at the anode/electrolyte interface, which hinders further electrolyte decomposition reactions, but acts as membrane for
the lithium cations, i.e. behaving as a solid electrolyte interphase (SEI). This paper focuses on important aspects of the SEI. By using key examples,
the effects of film forming electrolyte additives and the change of the active anode material from carbons to lithium storage
alloys are highlighted.

Results are reported on the cellular effects and the sensitivity of cultured tumor epithelial cells (TEC) derived from human ovarian cystadenocarcinoma and human umbilical vein-derived endothelial cells (HUVEC) to exogenous 5-aminolaevulinic acid (ALA) and ALA-induced photodynamic therapy (PDT). Cellular alterations and PDT efficiency were evaluated using colorimetric thiazolyl blue (MTT) assay, trypan blue exclusion assay, electron microscopy, and gel electrophoresis. ALA-induced protoporphyrin IX (PpIX) accumulation in TEC was associated with a concentration and time-dependent significant decrease in mitochondrial activity, increase in cell membrane permeability, and dark toxicity. Maximum PpIX loaded TEC demonstrated a high sensitivity to PDT. Neither cellular alterations nor PDT effects were observed in HUVEC under identical experimental conditions. These results indicate a potential clinical value for the use of ALA-mediated PDT to treat minimal residual disease in mucinous ovarian carcinoma. In addition, the ALA-induced PpIX cytotoxicity may be exported to a new chemotherapeutic regimen via a conventionally viewed photochemotherapeutic agent. 相似文献

The current status of immunochemical techniques for analysis of paralytic shellfish poisoning (PSP) toxins is summarized. Important aspects regarding production of the biological reagents necessary for immunochemical methods, the characteristics of polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies against saxitoxin and neosaxitoxin, and the importance of test sensitivity and specificity are discussed. Applications of immunochemical techniques for PSP toxins include microtiter plate enzyme immunoasays and enzyme-linked immunofiltration assays for toxin detection, and immunoaffinity chromatography (IAC) for sample extract cleanup. A major advantage of enzyme immunoassay (EIA) is simplicity and rapidity of the test procedure, and higher sensitivity than other methods. However, quantitative agreement between EIA and mouse bioassay is dependent on antibody specificity and the toxin profile in the shellfish; thus, both over- and underestimation of total toxicity may occur. For screening purposes, however, EIAs offer major advantages over the mouse bioassay, which is criticized in Europe because of animal welfare. A major application of antibodies against PSP toxins is their use for extract cleanup by IAC, which gives highly purified extracts, thereby enhancing determination of PSP toxins by conventional physicochemical methods such as liquid chromatography. IAC can also be used to isolate PSP toxins for preparation of analytical standard solutions. 相似文献
