Alkaloids of the epigeal part ofConvolvulus krauseanus

The epigeal part ofConvolvulus krauseanus collected in two vegetation periods — flowering and fruit-bearing — has been studied for the first time. Five bases have been isolated. Convolvine, convolamine, and convolidine proved to be known, phyllalbine was isolated from this species for the first time, and colvolicine proved to be a new base for which the structure of (±)-N-acetoxy-3-veratroyl-nortropine has been established.Institute of the Chemistry of Plant Substances, Academy of Sciences of the Uzbek SSR, Tashkent. Alkaloids of Arundo donax. XI. NMR Spectroscopic Study of the Structure of the Dimeric Alkaloid Arundamine

The dimeric indole alkaloid arundamine is isolated from the total bases of Arundo donax L. (Poaceae) roots. The structure of arundamine is investigated using ordinary one-dimensional ¹H and ¹³C NMR, J-modulated ¹³C NMR, and various types of two-dimensional spectra, COSY, NOESY, HSQC, and HMBC.

The new isoquinoline alkaloid turcamine (1) has been isolated from the leaves ofBerberis turcomanica, and its structure has been established as 8-hydroxy-7-methoxy-2-methyltetrahydroisoquinoline.
