Measurements of the dielectric constants revealed a ferro- to paraelectric transition in methylammonium trichloromercurate (CH3NH3HgCl3). Thermal analysis by differential scanning calorimetry indicates a transition temperature of Tc ≈ 60°C. The structures of both phases were determined from single crystal X-ray measurements. The ferroelectric phase crystallizes at room temperature in the polar trigonal space group P32(a = b = 7.8117(3), c = 9.826(3)A?, Z = 3). The refinement of the ferroelectric structure included the fractional contribution of the two domains present. The paraelectric phase has monoclinic symmetry (space group C2 with a = 13.816(2), b = 7.880(1), c = 9.734(3)A?, β = 90.49(5)°, Z = 6) and contains an almost completely disordered methylammonium group while order with pronounced thermal motion is observed in the ferroelectric phase.  相似文献

To determine the influence of the factors gender, vocal training, sound intensity, pitch, and aging on vocal function, videolaryngostroboscopic images of 214 subjects, subdivided according to gender and status of vocal training, were evaluated by three judges with standardized rating scales, comprising aspects of laryngeal appearance (larynx/pharynx ratio; epiglottal shape; asymmetry arytenoid region; compensatory adjustments; thickness, width, length, and elasticity of vocal folds) and glottal functioning (amplitudes of excursion; duration, percentage, and type of vocal fold closure; phase differences; location of glottal chink). The video registrations were made while the subjects performed a set of phonatory tasks, comprising the utterance of the vowel /i/ at three levels of both fundamental frequency and sound intensity. Analysis of the rating scales showed generally sufficient agreement among judges. With the exception of more frequently observed complete closure and lateral phase differences of vocal fold excursions in trained subjects, no further differences were established between untrained and trained subjects. With an α level of p = 0.005, men differed from women with respect to laryngeal appearance (larynx/pharynx ratio, compensatory adjustments, and the presence of omega and deviant-shaped epiglottises), and their vocal folds were rated thicker in the vertical dimension, smaller in the lateral dimension, longer, and more tense, with smaller amplitudes of excursion during vibration. Glottal closure in male subjects was rated more complete, but briefer in duration. Significant effects of the factors pitch, sound intensity, and age on vocal fold appearance and glottal functioning were ascertained. Awareness of the influence of these factors, as well as the factor gender, on the rated scales is essential for an adequate evaluation of laryngostroboscopic images.  相似文献

The structural phase transitions between the intercalated and the non-intercalated phases of the layer structure compound n-decylammoniumchloride and n-hexylammoniumchloride have been studied via proton-14N and proton-35Cl nuclear quadrupole double resonance. The results have been related to an order-disorder model of the alkylammonium chains. The temperature dependence of the order parameters of the –NH3 head groups has been determined.  相似文献

A simple stability-indicating reversed-phase liquid chromatographic method with diode-array detection was developed and validated for the quantitative determination of ebastine in tablets and syrup. The LC method was carried out on a C18 column with acetonitrile:phosphoric acid 0.1% pH 3.0 (55:45, v/v) as mobile phase, at a flow rate of 1.2 mL min−1. Ultraviolet detection of ebastine was at 254 nm. A linear response (r = 0.9999) was observed in the range of 10–80 μg mL−1. The RSD values for intra- and inter-day precision studies showed good results (RSD < 2%) and accuracy was greater than 98%. Validation parameters such as specificity and robustness were also determined. The method was found to be stability-indicating and can be applied to quantitative determination of ebastine in tablets and syrup.
