A multiwavelength Brillouin/erbium fiber laser (BEFL) with low threshold power is realized. A low threshold power of 3 mW and a wide tuning range of 18 nm can be achieved by controlling the reflected power in the nonlinear optical loop mirror (NOLM). Up to 24 lines with a wavelength spacing of 0.086 nm are generated at the Brillouin pump and at the 1 480-nm pump with 0.5 dBm (0.9 mW) and 25 mW of power, respectively.  相似文献

In this work, the ion-exchange reaction of the sodium silicate Na-magadiite with cupric ions was studied and the mode of interaction of the intercalated Cu2+ ions with silicate sheet was investigated. To do this, Na-magadiite was first synthesized using a hydrothermal method and characterized. It is then used to prepare Cu-exchanged magadiite materials with different copper contents by an ion-exchange reaction. The solids obtained were characterized by chemical and thermogravimetric analyses, powder X-ray diffraction, UV–Visible diffuse reflectance and Fourier transform spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The results show that magadiite has a high affinity to copper ions and that the experimental exchange rate can be easily predicted. They show also that the intercalated Cu2+ ions are non-hydrated and are in direct interactions with the terminal interlayer ≡Si–O? groups, to which they are also probably strongly linked. Furthermore, the interlayer copper oxide species phase formed are in form of small particles homogeneously dispersed. Finally, the introduction of Cu2+ ions into the interlayer space does not substantially affect the structure of the Cu-exchanged materials but rather tends to stabilize it by increasing the decomposition temperature of the silanol groups .  相似文献

An improved estimation of bit-error-rate (BER) for electrically multiplexed duty-cycle division multiplexing (E-DCDM), which is based on the probability of error, is presented. Performance of 3 × 10 Gbit/s E-DCDM is investigated in terms of optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR) and dispersion tolerance. This technique requires 29.4 dB OSNR and can tolerate ±96 ps/nm chromatic dispersion for the worst user.  相似文献

In this paper, the surface modification of silk fiber using anhydrides to graft the polysaccharide chitosan and dyeing ability of the grafted silk were studied. Silk fiber was degummed and acylated with two anhydrides, succinic anhydride (SA) and phthalic anhydride (PA), in different solvents (dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and N,N-dimethyl formamide (DMF)). The effects of anhydrides, solvents, anhydride concentration, liquor ratio (L:R) and reaction time on acylation of silk were studied. The polysaccharide chitosan was grafted to the acylated silk fiber and dyed by acid dye (Acid Black NB.B). The effects of pH, chitosan concentration, and reaction time on chitosan grafting of acylated silk were investigated. The physical properties show sensible changes regardless of weight gain. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis showed the presence of foreign materials firmly attached to the surface of silk. FTIR spectroscopy provided evidence that chitosan was grafted onto the acylated silk through the formation of new covalent bonds. The dyeing of the chitosan grafted-acylated silk fiber indicated the higher dye ability in comparison to the acylated and degummed silk samples. The mechanism of chitosan grafting over degummed silk through anhydride linkage was proposed. The findings of this research support the potential production of new environmentally friendly textile fibers. It is worthwhile to mention that the grafted samples have antibacterial potential due to the antibacterial property of chitosan molecules.  相似文献

An algorithm is developed which finds the point in a compact polyhedral set with smallest Euclidean norm. At each iteration the algorithm requires knowledge of only those vertices of the set which are adjacent to a current reference vertex. This feature is shown to permit the adoption of the technique to find iteratively the shortest subgradient (i.e. the direction of steepest ascent) of the lagrangian dual function for large scale linear programs. Procedures are presented for finding the direction of steepest ascent in both the equality constraint and the inequality constraint cases of lagrangian duality.  相似文献

In this study, we propose an algorithm for solving a minimax problem over a polyhedral set defined in terms of a system of linear inequalities. At each iteration a direction is found by solving a quadratic programming problem and then a suitable step size along that direction is taken through an extension of Armijo's approximate line search technique. We show that each accumulation point is a Kuhn-Tucker solution and give a condition that guarantees convergence of the whole sequence of iterations. Through the use of an exact penalty function, the algorithm can be used for solving constrained nonlinear programming. In this case, our algorithm resembles that of Han, but differs from it both in the direction-finding and the line search steps.  相似文献

This study concerns itself with Lagrangian duality for continuous and discrete mathematical programming problems. Properties of the dual function, including subdifferentiability, differentiability, ascent, and steepest ascent directions are discussed. We show the relationship between directions of steepest ascent and shortest subgradients under different normalization constraints. We then discuss various strategies for generating and updating the Lagrangian multiplier vectors in the course of dual optimization.  相似文献

The optical constants n and k of ferromagnetic and paramagnetic gadolinium have been measured, at various temperatures, from polarimetric measurements, in the low energy range 0.5 to 1.5 eV. For the ferromagnetic state, evidence of extra-optical conductivity is found near 0.69 eV and attributed to magnetic ordering. It confirms Miwa and Mackintosh predictions, assuming that new energy gaps are introduced in the conduction band through the s-f exchange interaction. From the experimental determination of the energy gap resulting from a splitting of the conduction band between spin up and spin down bands, we have deduced the effective s-f exchange energy J(q) = 1.58 × 10-13 erg.  相似文献

The present study was aimed to investigate the polyphenolic profile of a pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) extract from Algeria and evaluate its biological activity. The total polyphenol content of the extract was determined as 1.373 mg of gallic acid equivalents (±0.0046), whereas the flavonoids were determined as 0.098 mg of quercetin (±0.0015). The determination of the complete polyphenolic profile of the extract was achieved by liquid chromatography with an RP‐amide column in combination with photodiode array and mass spectrometry detection through an electrospray ionization interface. A total of 18 compounds were identified, of which five were reported for the first time in the sample tested. Quercetin rhamnoside was the most abundant compound (82.6 μg/g of fresh pepper) followed by quercetin glucoside (19.86 μg/g). The antioxidant activity and antimicrobial effects were also determined. For the antimicrobial tests assessed against Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria, kaempferol showed the strongest inhibitory effect followed by quercetin and caffeic acids. In the study of the cytotoxicity of the extract, the cancer cells (U937) were more affected than the normal cells (peripheral blood mononucleated cells), with more than 62% inhibition at the highest concentration.  相似文献
