Today the needs for safer, cleaner and more affordable civil aero engines are found to be of great importance. Five years ago, the EU initiated an action for the design and the construction of efficient and environmentally friendly aero engines (EEFAE). One of the major European gas turbine industries, MTU, has presented a new technology for an advanced aero engine design, which uses an alternative thermodynamic cycle. The basis of this cycle is the adoption of a recuperation part with the use of a system of heat exchangers, installed in the exhaust nozzle of the aircraft engine. Thermal energy in the turbine exhaust is used in the recuperator to pre-heat the compressor outlet air before combustion. The benefits of this technique are focused on reduced pollutants and decreased fuel consumption. In this work, the procedure of the optimization of this installation, by means of the imposed pressure drop downstream the aircraft engine and the balanced mass inflow to the heat exchangers is presented. The optimization is based on experimental measurements in laboratory conditions and preliminary 2D CFD modeling for the flow inside the exhaust duct and through the heat exchangers. It is shown that with a careful approach, a better arrangement of the heat exchangers can be achieved in order to have a minimum pressure drop in the exhaust nozzle which can positively affect the engine’s performance. 相似文献

The present study examines the isotopic and hydrochemical composition of 18 inland spring waters and 3 coastal karstic spring waters, covering the period between October 2005 and March 2008. The stable isotopes ((18)O, (2)H) processing has revealed the absence of significant evaporation phenomena and that the origin of fresh water samples is meteoric. Using (18)O values in rainfall waters, an average line of isotopic depletion with altitude has been constructed, extracting a rate of-0.45‰/100?m as typical for the study area. Furthermore, the mean altitude of recharge of the springs has been estimated by plotting the groundwater sampling points on a δ(18)O versus altitude diagram. Hydrochemistry results have shown that the dissolution of carbonate, flysch and ophiolitic formations defines the hydrochemical characteristics of groundwater. Moreover, seawater intrusion in the coastal area is significantly high, causing the water in the three karstic springs to be brackish. 相似文献

We report the synthesis of a composite material comprised of poly(4‐vinylpyridine) (P4VP) grafted on multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and the preparation of a nanohybrid via quaternization of the nitrogen atom per monomeric unit of the polymer chains. 4‐Vinylpyridine was polymerized anionically using high vacuum techniques and was reacted with MWCNTs under vacuum to be grafted on the polymer segments. The composite material was soluble in common solvents and the dispersion of the carbon nanotubes was improved after quaternization due to the formation of polymeric ionic liquid (PIL) of the MWCNTs‐g‐[P4VP‐r‐poly(4ViEtPy+Br‐)] type. The successful synthesis was confirmed with Fourier‐transform infrared and Raman spectroscopies, whereas differential scanning calorimetry was adopted to verify the stability of the polymer's glass transition temperature before and after grafting on the MWCNTs. Moreover, thermogravimetric analysis was used for examining the thermal stability and the PIL formation of the composite. Energy dispersive spectroscopy measurements confirm the precipitation of silver bromide when the MWCNTs‐g‐[P4VP‐r‐poly(4ViEtPy+Br‐)] is reacted with silver nitrite indicating the successful quaternization and formation of the appropriate PIL. High temperature size exclusion chromatography was used for the determination of the molecular characteristics (average molecular weight by number $\overline M _n$ , polydispersity I) of the homopolymer obtained from the filtration of the composite material. We consider series of M/M/m queues with strategic customer behavior. Customers arrive to the first queue and decide whether to enter the system or balk and, if they enter, up to which queue to proceed before departing. Each customer makes an independent decision, with the objective of maximizing her total net benefit, which is equal to the value of service minus a cost due to expected delay. We formulate the customer decision as a game and identify the unique symmetric Nash equilibrium strategy, which is expressed in a backward recursive form.
