The visible absorption spectra of 4-(2-benzothiazolylazo)resorcinol (BTAR) and 4-(2-benzothiazolylazo)salicylic acid (BTAS) have been recorded in water-organic solvent mixtures in the pH range 0.5–12.0. The organic solvents used are methanol, ethanol,n-propanol, iso-propanol, acetone, dioxane and dimethyl formamide. The spectral changes have been explained in terms of shifts in equilibria among different molecular and ionic species of BTAR and BTAS existing in solution. The pK a values corresponding to the different ionization steps have been determined at 25°C and I=0.1M (KNO3) by graphic analysis of the absorbance-pH curves. The results obtained are discussed in terms of the molecular structure of the reagents and the nature of the organic co-solvent used.  相似文献

Aqueous solution of ferrous-cupric sulfate has been evaluated spectrophotometrically as radiation dosimeter and post-irradiation stability at different storage temperatures has been studied. The response curve drawn at a peak wavelength of 304 nm shows a linear response of up to 7 kGy. However, with proper calibration, the system can be used up to 14 kGy. At room temperature (ca. 25 °C) in the dark, the irradiated solution showed stable response up to about 12 h, followed by a small decrease in response up to 20 d. Post-irradiation storage at lower temperature (10 °C) shows no significant change in absorbance over a storage period of 6 d. However, for storage at higher temperature (40 °C) the dosimeter showed a stable response only up to a few hours and at longer storage times the response of the dosimeter increased.  相似文献

In this modern era, nanofluids are considered one of the advanced kinds of heat transferring fluids due to their enhanced thermal features. The present study is conducted to investigate that how the suspension of molybdenum-disulfide (MoS2) nanoparticles boosts the thermal performance of a Casson-type fluid. Sodium alginate (NaAlg) based nanofluid is contained inside a vertical channel of width d and it exhibits a flow due to the movement of the left wall. The walls are nested in a permeable medium, and a uniform magnetic field and radiation flux are also involved in determining flow patterns and thermal behavior of the nanofluid. Depending on velocity boundary conditions, the flow phenomenon is examined for three different situations. To evaluate the influence of shape factor, MoS2 nanoparticles of blade, cylinder, platelet, and brick shapes are considered. The mathematical modeling is performed in the form of non-integer order operators, and a double fractional analysis is carried out by separately solving Caputo-Fabrizio and Atangana-Baleanu operators based fractional models. The system of coupled PDEs is converted to ODEs by operating the Laplace transformation, and Zakian’s algorithm is applied to approximate the Laplace inversion numerically. The solutions of flow and energy equations are presented in terms of graphical illustrations and tables to discuss important physical aspects of the observed problem. Moreover, a detailed inspection on shear stress and Nusselt number is carried out to get a deep insight into skin friction and heat transfer mechanisms. It is analyzed that the suspension of MoS2 nanoparticles leads to ameliorating the heat transfer rate up to 9.5%. To serve the purpose of achieving maximum heat transfer rate and reduced skin friction, the Atangana-Baleanu operator based fractional model is more effective. Furthermore, it is perceived that velocity and energy functions of the nanofluid exhibit significant variations because of the different shapes of nanoparticles.  相似文献

The configurations of the dioxine ring, the thiazoline ring and the attached phenyl ring are conditioned by the sp3 state of the two bridgehead C atoms. In the title ternary complex, C10H9N2+·C7H3N2O6?·C7H4N2O6, the pyridinium cation adopts the role of the donor in an intermolecular N—H?O hydrogen‐bonding interaction with the carboxyl­ate group of the 3,5‐di­nitro­benzoate anion. The mol­ecules of the ternary complex form molecular ribbons perpendicular to the b direction, which are stabilized by one N—H?O, one O—H?O and five C—H?O intermolecular hydrogen bonds. The ribbons are further interconnected by three intermolecular C—H?O hydrogen bonds into a three‐dimensional network.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of the copper (II) complex [Cu2(OOCCH = C(CH3)Fc)3(phen)2]CIO4 · 2H2O (1) are reported. The structure of the complex was determined by single‐crystal X‐ray analysis. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group Pc, with Z =2, a = 1.2799(4) nm, b =0.9969 (4) nm, c = 2.5228 nm, and β = 91.576 (1) °. The cationic part of 1 indicates a penametallic core in which three 3‐ferrocenyl‐2‐crotonic acid salt (FCA) groups act as (O, O') bridging ligands between two copper (II) ions with a square‐pyramidal environment. Cyclic voltammetric experiments in acetonitrile have been performed mainly to examine the Fe(II) → Fe(III) one‐electron oxidation in FCA and its complex. The variable‐temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements revealed very weak intramolecular anti‐ferromagnetic coupling. Fitting parameters are 2J = ‐0.2 cm?1, g = 2.114, and θ = 0K.  相似文献

A direct method is described for the determination of molybdenum in mg amounts of organomolybdenum compounds by flame emission or atomic absorption spectrometry. Air/acetylene, air/hydrogen and dinitrogen oxide/acetylene flames were used. The emission of molybdenum oxide is found to be analytically useful in the hydrogen-based flames while the acetylene-based flames are better for atomic absorption. Various organomolybdenum compounds were analysed by both methods as well as by an alternative spectrophotometric method, with satisfactory agreement. The procedure involves simply dissolving the sample in a mixed solvent and aspirating the solution into the flame.  相似文献

This article describes the design and synthesis of a series of novel amantadine-thiourea conjugates (3a–j) as Jack bean urease inhibitors. The synthesized hybrids were assayed for their in vitro urease inhibition. Accordingly, N-(adamantan-1-ylcarbamothioyl)octanamide (3j) possessing a 7-carbon alkyl chain showed excellent activity with IC50 value 0.0085 ± 0.0011 µM indicating that the long alkyl chain plays a vital role in enzyme inhibition. Whilst N-(adamantan-1-ylcarbamothioyl)-2-chlorobenzamide (3g) possessing a 2-chlorophenyl substitution was the next most efficient compound belonging to the aryl series with IC50 value of 0.0087 ± 0.001 µM. The kinetic mechanism analyzed by Lineweaver–Burk plots revealed the non-competitive mode of inhibition for compound 3j. Moreover, in silico molecular docking against target protein (PDBID 4H9M) indicated that most of the synthesized compounds exhibit good binding affinity with protein. The compound 3j forms two hydrogen bonds with amino acid residue VAL391 having a binding distance of 1.858 Å and 2.240 Å. The interaction of 3j with amino acid residue located outside the catalytic site showed its non-competitive mode of inhibition. Based upon these results, it is anticipated that compound 3j may serve as a lead structure for the design of more potent urease inhibitors.  相似文献

Imidazolidine and thiazolidine-based isatin derivatives (IST-01–04) were synthesized, characterized, and tested for their interactions with ds-DNA. Theoretical and experimental findings showed good compatibility and indicated compound–DNA binding by mixed mode of interactions. The evaluated binding parameters, i.e., binding constant (Kb), free energy change (ΔG), and binding site sizes (n), inferred comparatively greater and more spontaneous binding interactions of IST-02 and then IST-04 with the DNA, among all compounds tested under physiological pH and temperature (7.4, 37 °C). The cytotoxic activity of all compounds was assessed against HeLa (cervical carcinoma), MCF-7 (breast carcinoma), and HuH-7 (liver carcinoma), as well as normal HEK-293 (human embryonic kidney) cell lines. Among all compounds, IST-02 and 04 were found to be cytotoxic against HuH-7 cell lines with percentage cell toxicity of 75% and 66%, respectively, at 500 ng/µL dosage. Moreover, HEK-293 cells exhibit tolerance to the increasing drug concentration, suggesting these two compounds are less cytotoxic against normal cell lines compared to cancer cell lines. Hence, both DNA binding and cytotoxicity studies proved imidazolidine (IST-02) and thiazolidine (IST-04)-based isatin derivatives as potent anticancer drug candidates among which imidazolidine (IST-02) is comparatively the more promising.  相似文献
