The solutocapillary Marangoni convection around a gas bubble in the inhomogeneous binary mixture of miscible fluids with a vertical surfactant concentration gradient was studied experimentally. A new phenomenon, the oscillatory instability of the surfactant mass transfer, near the bubble boundary, was detected and investigated. The interpretation of this effect as an interaction between the surfactant adsorption at the bubble free surface and solutocapillary and buoyancy convective mechanisms is proposed. The experimental data on oscillation period in relation to bubble dimensions, time, liquid layer thickness, physico-chemical fluid parameters and concentration gradients are presented and discussed. This paper is concerned with the linear elastodynamics of homogeneous and isotropic materials with voids. First, the singular solutions corresponding to concentrated forces in the case of steady vibrations are established. Then, representations of Somigliana type for the displacement field and the change in the volume fraction field are presented. Radiation conditions of Sommerfeld type are derived. The potentials of single layer and double layer are used to reduce the boundary value problems to singular integral equations for which Fredholm's basic theorems are valid. Existence and uniqueness results for exterior problems are established.  相似文献

A numerical method to estimate spectral properties of nonlinear oscillators with random input is presented. The stationary system response is expanded into a trigonometric Fourier series. A set of nonlinear algebraic equations, solved by Newtons method, leads to the determination of the unknown Fourier series coefficients of single samples of the response process. For cubic polynomial nonlinearities, closed-form expressions are used to find the nonlinear terms at each step of the solution scheme. Further, a simple procedure yields an approximation of an arbitrary nonlinearity by a cubic polynomial. Power spectral density estimates for the response process are constructed by averaging the square modulus of the computed Fourier coefficients over various samples or by means of well-established smoothing techniques of spectral analysis. Two applications are presented illustrating the effectiveness of the method as compared to statistical linearization and digital Monte-Carlo simulation.  相似文献

This paper proposes a new type of molecular device that is able to act as an inverse proton sponge to slowly decrease the pH inside a reaction vessel. This makes the automatic monitoring of the concentration of pH‐sensitive systems possible. The device is a composite formed of an alkyl chloride, which kinetically produces acidity, and a buffer that thermodynamically modulates the variation in pH value. Profiles of pH versus time (pH–t plots) have been generated under various experimental conditions by computer simulation, and the device has been tested by carrying out automatic spectrophotometric titrations, without using an autoburette. To underline the wide variety of possible applications, this new system has been used to realize and monitor HCl uptake by a di‐copper(II) bistren complex in a single run, in a completely automatic experiment.  相似文献

Sediments are the fate of several emerging organic contaminants, such as pharmaceuticals, personal care products and hormones, and therefore an important subject in environmental monitoring studies. In the present work, a simple and sensitive method was developed, validated and applied for the simultaneous extraction of atenolol, caffeine, carbamazepine, diclofenac, ibuprofen, naproxen, propranolol, triclosan, estrone, 17‐β‐estradiol and 17‐α‐ethinylestradiol using ultrasound‐assisted extraction from freshwater sediment samples followed by solid‐phase extraction clean‐up and liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry detection. The solvent type and extraction pH were evaluated to obtain the highest recoveries of the compounds. The best method shows absolute recoveries between 54.0 and 94.4% at 50 ng/g concentration. The method exhibits good precision with relative standard deviation ranging from 1.0–16%. The detection and quantification limits ranged from 0.006–0.067 and 0.016–0.336 ng/g, respectively. The developed method was successfully applied to freshwater sediment samples collected from different sites in Jundiaí River basin of São Paulo State, Brazil. The compounds atenolol, caffeine, propranolol and triclosan were detected in all the sampling sites with concentrations of 13.8, 41.0, 28.5 and 176 ng/g, respectively.  相似文献
