One- and two-photon circular dichroism spectra of R-(+)-3-methyl-cyclopentanone, a system that has been the subject of recent experimental studies of (2+1) resonance-enhanced multiphoton ionization circular dichroism, have been calculated with an origin-invariant density functional theory approximation in the region of the lowest electronic excited states, both for the gas phase and for a selection of solvents. A polarizable continuum model is used in the calculations performed on the solvated system. Two low-lying conformers are analyzed, and a comparison of the intensities and characteristic features is made with the corresponding two-photon absorption for each species, also for the Boltzmann-averaged spectra. The effect of the choice of geometry, basis set, and exchange-correlation functional is carefully analyzed. It is found that a density functional theory approach using the Coulomb attenuating method variant of Becke's three-parameter exchange and the Lee-Yang-Parr correlation functionals with correlation-consistent basis sets of double-zeta quality can reproduce the experimental electronic circular dichroism spectra very well. The features appearing in experiment are characterized in terms of molecular excitations, and the differences in the response of each state in the one- and two-photon processes are highlighted. 相似文献

We report on a dendronized bis-urea macrocycle 1 self-assembling via a cooperative mechanism into two-dimensional (2D) nanosheets formed solely by alternated urea-urea hydrogen bonding interactions. The pure macrocycle self-assembles in bulk into one-dimensional liquid-crystalline columnar phases. In contrast, its self-assembly mode drastically changes in CHCl3 or tetrachloroethane, leading to 2D hydrogen-bonded networks. Theoretical calculations, complemented by previously reported crystalline structures, indicate that the 2D assembly is formed by a brick-like hydrogen bonding pattern between bis-urea macrocycles. This assembly is promoted by the swelling of the trisdodecyloxyphenyl groups upon solvation, which frustrates, due to steric effects, the formation of the thermodynamically more stable columnar macrocycle stacks. This work proposes a new design strategy to access 2D supramolecular polymers by means of a single non-covalent interaction motif, which is of great interest for materials development. 相似文献

The hydrolysis of trimethyltin(IV) has been studied by potentiometry (H+ -glass electrode) and calorimetry in various salt media (NaNO3, NaCl, KCl, Na2SO4, and NaNO3—NaCl mixtures). The effect of ionic strength on the hydrolysis constants is accounted for by a simple Debye–Hückel type equation and by Pitzer equations. The results allow us to obtain H for hydrolysis and the temperature dependence of the Pitzer parameters. The resulting coefficients can be used to examine the speciation of (CH3)3Sn+ in multicomponent electrolyte solutions, such as natural waters, over a wide range of temperature and ionic strength. 相似文献

This study describes a general approach for probing semiconductor-dielectric interfacial chemistry effects on organic field-effect transistor performance parameters using bilayer gate dielectrics. Organic semiconductors exhibiting p-/n-type or ambipolar majority charge transport are grown on six different bilayer dielectric structures consisting of various spin-coated polymers/HMDS on 300 nm SiO(2)/p(+)-Si, and are characterized by AFM, SEM, and WAXRD, followed by transistor electrical characterization. In the case of air-sensitive (generally high LUMO energy) n-type semiconductors, dielectric surface modifications induce large variations in the corresponding OTFT performance parameters although the film morphologies and microstructures remain similar. In marked contrast, the device performance of air-stable n-type and p-type semiconductors is not significantly affected by the same dielectric surface modifications. Among the bilayer dielectric structures examined, nonpolar polystyrene coatings on SiO(2) having minimal gate leakage and surface roughness significantly enhance the mobilities of overlying air-sensitive n-type semiconductors to as high as approximately 2 cm(2)/(V s) for alpha,omega-diperfluorohexylcarbonylquaterthiophene polystyrene/SiO(2). Electron trapping due to silanol and carbonyl functionalities at the semiconductor-dielectric interface is identified as the principal origin of the mobility sensitivity to the various surface chemistries in the case of n-type semiconductors having high LUMO energies. Thiophene-based n-type semiconductors exhibiting similar film morphologies and microstructures on various bilayer gate dielectrics therefore provide an incisive means to probe TFT performance parameters versus semiconductor-dielectric interface relationships. 相似文献

This short communication describes the characterization of seven tropane alkaloid compounds in Atropa belladonna L. Thus a rapid and easy CE-electrospray interface (ESI)-TOF-MS procedure is developed to analyze these compounds in a pharmaceutical preparations of A. belladonna L. leaf extract. Optimum electrophoretic separation is obtained using an alkaline solution of 60 mM ammonium acetate at pH 8.5 containing 5% isopropanol. Under the optimum CE-ESI-TOF-MS conditions several important compounds such as tropine, belladonnine, norhyoscyamine, apoatropine, hyoscyamine, 6beta-hydroxyhyoscyamine, and scopolamine have been simultaneously identified from A. belladonna L. CE-ESI-IT-MS has been used to discriminate the putative presence of littorine. The sensitivity, together with mass accuracy and true isotopic pattern of the TOF-MS, allowed the identification of a broad series of tropane alkaloid compounds present in pharmaceutical preparations of A. belladonna L. leaf extract. 相似文献

First-row transition-metal dicarbides MC(2) (M=Sc-Zn) have been investigated by using quantum-mechanical techniques. The competition between cyclic and linear isomers in these systems has been studied and the bonding scheme for these compounds is discussed through topological analysis of electron density. All of the systems have been found to prefer a C(2v)-symmetric arrangement, although for ZnC(2) the energy difference between this and the linear isomer is rather small. In most cases the C(2v)-symmetric structure corresponds to a T-shaped structure, with the exceptions of TiC(2), CoC(2), and NiC(2) which have been shown to be true rings. A detailed analysis of the variation of the energy of the system with geometry has been carried out. An analysis of the bonding, taking into account the main interactions between the valence orbitals of both fragments, the M atom and the C(2) molecule, has allowed the main features of these compounds to be interpreted. A clear correlation between the dissociation energies of the first-row transition-metal dicarbides and the bonding energies of the corresponding met-cars was observed. 相似文献

A theoretical study of the first-row transition metal dicarbide cations MC2+ (M=Sc-Zn) has been carried out. Predictions for different molecular properties that could help in their eventual experimental detection have been made. Most MC2+ compounds prefer a C2v symmetric arrangement over the linear geometry. In particular, the C2v isomer is specially favored for early transition metals. Only for CuC2+ is the linear isomer predicted to be the global minimum, although by only 1 kcal/mol. In all cases the isomerization barrier between cyclic and linear species seems to be very small (below 2 kcal/mol). The topological analysis of the electronic density shows that most C2v isomers are T-shaped structures. In general, MC2+ compounds for early transition metals have larger dissociation energies than those formed by late transition metals. In most cases the dissociation energies for MC2+ compounds are much smaller than those obtained for their neutral analogues. An analysis of the bonding in MC2+ compounds in terms of the interactions between the valence orbitals of the fragments helps to interpret their main features. 相似文献

Calibration is an operation whose main objective is to know the metrological status of a measurement system. Nevertheless, in analytical sciences, calibration has special connotations since it is the basis to do the quantification of the amount of one or more components (analytes) in a sample, or to obtain the value of one or more analytical parameters related with that quantity. Regarding this subject, the aim of analytical calibration is to find an empiric relationship, called measurement function, which permits subsequently to calculate the values of the amount (x-variable) of a substance in a sample, from the measured values on it of an analytical signal (y-variable). In this paper, the metrological bases of analytical calibration and quantification are established and, the different work schemes and calibration methodologies, which can be applied depending on the characteristic of the sample (analyte+matrix) to analyse, are distinguished and discussed. Likewise, the different terms and related names are clarified. A special attention has been paid to those analytical methods which use separation techniques, in relation with its effect on calibration operations and later analytical quantification. 相似文献
