This paper examines the influence of operating parameters in diode laser processing of CD-Rs for the purpose of recovering two of the main constituents: the polycarbonate substrate and the silver reflective layer. The targets used in experimental tests were ‘silver’ CD-Rs. Four operating parameters were investigated during experimental tests on selected CD-Rs, namely transverse and rotating speed, output power, and focal length. CD-Rs were successfully treated by using sufficiently wide operating ranges, and in optimized process conditions. It took less than 4.7 s to treat a CD-R, that is, 0.3 s less than the fastest CD-R manufacturing time. The best process performance is expressed in terms of transparency index, and is achieved by using both higher scanning speed and best focus conditions in conjunction. Output power is not so influential, but in order to attain the most effectiveness CD-R laser processing, values that are too low must be avoided. The extent of treated, untreated, and burnt areas of CD-Rs after diode laser processing was defined and measured, from which the most appropriate processing windows were found, including the quality of the recycled materials. Experimental findings were then used to define and validate an analytical model of CD-R laser processing. Two different mechanisms operating at low and high process speeds were inferred, and lastly, several aspects concerning the industrial application of the technique are discussed at length.  相似文献

A series of poly(1,4‐cyclohexylenedimethylene 1,4‐cyclohexanedicarboxylate) (PCCD) samples, characterized by different cis/trans ratio of the 1,4‐cyclohexanedicarbonyl unit, have been synthesized and analyzed by thermogravimetry (TGA), calorimetry (DSC), and X‐ray diffraction (WAXD). The thermal stability results are good and are not affected by the stereochemistry of the 1,4‐cyclohexylene units. On the other hand, the thermal transitions are notably influenced by the cis/trans content. With the increment of the trans content the polymer changes from completely amorphous to semicrystalline material. Tg, Tm, and crystallinity increase. These results suggest that the trans configuration induces a better chain packing and higher symmetry, improving the crystallizability of the samples. The effect of the molecular structure on the thermal properties is analyzed by using a statistical approach. From the effective correlations found between stereochemistry of the C6 rings and transition temperatures it is possible to extrapolate that the configuration of 1,4‐cyclohexylene ring deriving from 1,4‐cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid or dimethyl 1,4‐cyclohexanedicarboxylate results to be the main element responsible for the thermal properties. This is due to the high rigidity of the 1,4‐cyclohexanedicarbonyl unit with respect to 1,4‐cyclohexanedimethyleneoxy unit, deriving from the diol. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Vitamin D is essential in assuring bone health at all stages of life, but its non-skeletal effects are also essential: This vitamin impacts the physiology of the immune system, skeletal muscles and adipose tissue, glucose metabolism, skin, cardiovascular and reproductive systems, neuro-cognitive functions and cell division. The incidence of vitamin D deficiency is widespread worldwide, at any age, in young and healthy subjects, as well as in pregnant women and the elderly population, due to several factors, including inadequate sunlight exposure, skin pigmentation and coverage, adiposity, lifestyle and low dietary intakes. To overcome this problem, the fortification of foods that are consumed on a daily basis, such as milk, is strongly advisable. This opinion paper aims to discuss, in a multidisciplinary way, the current evidence supporting the importance of vitamin D in health and disease and the role of milk as an optimal carrier of this vitamin, to promote adequate intakes, highlighting its unique physico-chemical characteristics linked to both fat globule membrane and casein micelle structure. Moreover, it addresses the impact of industrial processing and storage of consumption milk on the stability of these structures, thus in determining vitamin D bioavailability and the achievement of adequate intakes.  相似文献

Summary: The aim of this work was to study the comonomer distribution and the chemical composition distribution generated by different Ziegler-Natta (ZN) systems (different internal donors, ID, dicyclopentadienyl-dimethoxy silane, D donor, as the external donor) and to define the potentialities of different IDs to produce improved heterophasic copolymers (HECO). A methodology to quantify the amount of ethylene-propylene copolymer (EP) portion in ZN-HECO and ethylene content of the EP portion by 13C-NMR was established. By using this method, it was possible to analyze the composition of ZN-HECO obtaining results comparable to those obtained with a more complex fractionation technique.  相似文献

Noncommutative Donaldson–Thomas invariants for abelian orbifold singularities can be studied via the enumeration of instanton solutions in a six-dimensional noncommutative ${{\mathcal N}=2}$ gauge theory; this construction is based on the generalized McKay correspondence and identifies the instanton counting with the counting of framed representations of a quiver which is naturally associated with the geometry of the singularity. We extend these constructions to compute BPS partition functions for higher-rank refined and motivic noncommutative Donaldson–Thomas invariants in the Coulomb branch in terms of gauge theory variables and orbifold data. We introduce the notion of virtual instanton quiver associated with the natural symplectic charge lattice which governs the quantum wall-crossing behaviour of BPS states in this context. The McKay correspondence naturally connects our formalism with other approaches to wall-crossing based on quantum monodromy operators and cluster algebras.  相似文献

Topical anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis is of major interest because of their fewer side effects compared to oral therapy. The purpose of this study was to prepare different types of topical formulations (ointments and gels) containing synthetic and natural anti-inflammatory agents with different excipients (e.g.,: surfactants, gel-forming) for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. The combination of Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs), diclofenac sodium, a topical analgesic agent methyl salicylate, and a lyophilized extract of Calendula officinalis with antioxidant effect were used in our formulations. The aim was to select the appropriate excipients and dosage form for the formulation in order to enhance the diffusion of active substances and to certify the antioxidant, analgesic, and anti-inflammatory effects of these formulations. To characterize the physicochemical properties of the formulations, rheological studies, and texture profile analysis were carried out. Membrane diffusion and permeability studies were performed with Franz-diffusion method. The therapeutic properties of the formulations have been proven by an antioxidant assay and a randomized prospective study that was carried out on 115 patients with rheumatoid arthritis. The results showed that the treatment with the gel containing diclofenac sodium, methyl salicylate, and lyophilized Calendula officinalis as active ingredients, 2-propenoic acid homopolymer (Synthalen K) as gel-forming excipient, distilled water, triethanolamine, and glycerol had a beneficial analgesic and local anti-inflammatory effect.  相似文献
