The synthesis of the ortho- and para-e isomers in the oxide-bridged 5-phenylmorphan series of rigid tetracyclic compounds was accomplished via rac-5-(2-fluoro-5-nitrophenyl)-2-methyl-2-azabicyclo[3.3.1]nonan-9beta-ol ((+/-)-10), an intermediate containing an aromatic nitro-activated fluorine atom. The fluorine atom was used as the leaving group for the formation of the strained tetracyclic trans-fused 5,6-ring system in rac-(1alpha,4aalpha,9aalpha)-1,3,4,9a-tetrahydro-2-methyl-6-nitro-2H-1,4a-propanobenzofuro[2,3-c]pyridine ((+/-)-11), although preference for cis ring fusion during the formation of tricyclic tetra- and hexahydrodibenzofurans has been well-documented. Single-crystal X-ray crystallographic study of the desired para-e isomer ((+/-)-2), as well as of two intermediates in its synthesis, provided assurance of the correct structures. The e-isomers are among the last of the 12 oxide-bridged 5-phenylmorphans to be synthesized. We envisioned the syntheses of these rigid, tetracyclic compounds in order to determine the three-dimensional pattern of a ligand that would enable interaction with opioid receptors as agonists or antagonists.  相似文献

The electronic structure of dehydro-m-xylylene anion (DMX-) has been investigated by using chemical reactivity studies and electronic structure calculations. DMX- has been generated in the gas phase via the sequential reaction of trimethyl-3,5-bis(trimethylsilylmethyl)phenylsilane with F- and two molecules of F2. Reactivity and thermochemical properties of the ion indicate a phenyl-like anion (1a), consistent with theoretical predictions. Density functional calculations predict a nonplanar triplet anion, with an allenic singlet anion slightly higher in energy. The driving force for the out-of-plane distortion is more efficient charge delocalization that is achieved at lower symmetry.  相似文献

The reactions of [Ru(3)(CO)(12)] with half equivalent of 2-amino-6-methylpyridine (H(2)ampy) or 2-aminopyridine (H(2)apy) in refluxing xylene give the hexanuclear products [Ru(6)(mu(3)-H)(2)(mu(5)-eta(2)-L)(mu-CO)(2)(CO)(14)] (L = ampy, 1; apy, 2). These reactions represent the first high-yield syntheses of hexanuclear complexes with a basal edge-bridged square pyramidal metallic skeleton. Five metal atoms of these complexes are bridged by the N-donor ligand in such a way that the edge-bridging metal atom is attached to the pyridine nitrogen, while the basal atoms of the square pyramid are capped by an imido fragment that arises from the activation of both N-H bonds of the NH(2) group. The reactive sites of these complexes in CO substitution reactions have been determined by studying the reactivity of 1 with triphenylphosphine. Two kinetically controlled monosubstitutions take place on the edge-bridging metal atom in positions cis to the pyridine nitrogen, leading to a mixture of two isomers of formula [Ru(6)(mu(3)-H)(2)(mu(5)-eta(2)-ampy)(mu-CO)(2)(CO)(13)(PPh(3))] (3 and 4). On heating at 80 degrees C, these monosubstituted isomers are transformed, via a dissociative pathway, into the product of thermodynamic control (5), which has the PPh(3) ligand on the apical Ru atom. The di- and trisubstituted derivatives [Ru(6)(mu(3)-H)(2)(mu(5)-eta(2)-ampy)(mu-CO)(2)(CO)(12)(PPh(3))(2)] (6) and [Ru(6)(mu(3)-H)(2)(mu(5)-eta(2)-ampy)(mu-CO)(2)(CO)(11)(PPh(3))(3)] (7) are stepwise formed from 3-5 and PPh(3). Compound 6 has the PPh(3) ligands on the edge-bridging and apical Ru atoms, and compound 7 has an additional PPh(3) ligand on an unbridged basal Ru atom. The compound [Ru(6)(mu(3)-H)(2)(mu(5)-eta(2)-ampy)(mu-CO)(2)(CO)(12)(mu-dppm)] (8), in which a basal and the apical Ru atoms are spanned by the dppm ligand, has been isolated from the reaction of 1 with bis(diphenylphosphino)methane.  相似文献

EPR spectra show that one-electron reduction of bis(3-phenyl-6,6-(trimethylsilyl)phosphinine-2-yl)dimethylsilane (1) on an alkali mirror leads to a radical anion that is localized on a single phosphinine ring, whereas the radical anion formed from the same reaction in the presence of cryptand or from an electron transfer with sodium naphthalenide is delocalized on the two phosphinine rings. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations show that in the last species the unpaired electron is mainly confined in a loose P-P bond (3.479 A), which results from the overlap of two phosphorus p orbitals. In contrast, as attested by X-ray spectroscopy, the P-P distance in neutral 1 is large (5.8 A). As shown by crystal structure analysis, addition of a second electron leads to the formation of a classical P-P single bond (P-P 2.389 A). Spectral modifications induced by the presence of cryptand or by a change in the reaction temperature are consistent with the formation of a tight ion pair that stabilizes the radical structure localized on a single phosphinine ring. It is suggested that the structure of this pair hinders internal rotation around the C-Si bonds and prevents 1 from adopting a conformation that shortens the intramolecular P-P distance. The ability of the phosphinine radical anion to reversibly form weak P-P bonds with neutral phosphinines in the absence of steric hindrance is confirmed by EPR spectra obtained for 2,6-bis(trimethylsilyl)-3-phenylphosphinine (2). Moreover, as shown by NMR spectroscopy, in this system, which contains only one phosphinine ring, further reduction leads to an intermolecular reaction with the formation of a classical P-P bond.  相似文献

Peptide nucleic acid (PNA) is a novel class of DNA analogues in which the entire sugar-phosphate backbone is replaced by a pseudopeptide counterpart. Owing to its neutral character and the consequent lack of electrostatic repulsion, PNA exhibits very stable heteroduplex formation with complementary nucleic acid that is essentially ionic strength independent and enables hybridization under minimum salt conditions. This feature as well as its superior ion stability and easy ionization compared to DNA renders PNA very attractive for hybridization-based matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOFMS) applications. We have developed an approach to DNA characterization that takes advantage of multiplexed PNA hybridizations analyzed by MALDI-TOFMS. Our motivation was the further development of oligonucleotide fingerprinting, an efficient technique for cDNA and genomic DNA library characterization. Through positive 'charge-tagging' of PNA the efficiency of detection in MALDI-TOFMS was considerably enhanced permitting an unparalleled degree of multiplexing. Results from the simultaneous hybridization of 21 charge-tagged PNA hexamer oligonucleotides showed that genomic DNA and cDNA clones are successfully characterized on the basis of their hybridization profiles. The degree of multiplexing achieved may render a significant increase in throughput and hence efficiency of oligonucleotide fingerprinting possible.  相似文献

Many abiotic and biotic factors can influence the partitioning equilibrium of heavy metals, thus influencing metal impact on aquatic environments. Unicellular algal species release soluble organic substances able to complex metals. In our laboratory a Cr-tolerant strain was selected and isolated from a wild type strain of Scenedesmus acutus. The exudates released by the two strains counteracted the growth inhibition caused by Cr(VI) and the exudates of the Cr-tolerant strain were more effective. On the contrary, the exudates did not reduce chromium toxicity to the cladoceran Daphnia magna. The reduction of chromium effect on algae seems the consequence of an algae-specific interaction among Cr(VI), exudates and algal cells. Chromium uptake resulted to be energy-dependent since bioaccumulation rate in subdued light condition was lower than at high light intensity. The effect of Cr(VI) on algae changed depending on metabolism of the cells and in particular it seemed to be related to the bioaccumulation rate. Tolerance in the selected strain could not be ascribed to a lower uptake of chromium. The difference in sensitivity to chromium between the two strains was exploited to evaluate if tolerance acquired by algae could have consequences for Daphnia. After treatment with Cr(VI), the two strains of S. acutus were used as food source for D. magna. The results indicate that chromium is accumulated by algae in a form not available for daphnids and that Cr tolerance acquired by the algae can be of some advantage to the consumer organism.  相似文献

We investigate the structural evolution of an A/B/C ternary mixture in which the A and B components can undergo a reversible chemical reaction to form C. We developed a lattice Boltzmann model for this ternary mixture that allows us to capture both the reaction kinetics and the hydrodynamic interactions within the system. We use this model to study a specific reactive mixture in which C acts as a surfactant, i.e., the formation of C at the A/B interface decreases the interfacial tension between the A and B domains. We found that the dynamics of the system is different for fluids in the diffusive and viscous regimes. In the diffusive regime, the formation of a layer of C at the interface leads to a freezing of the structural evolution in the fluid; the values of the reaction rate constants determine the characteristic domain size in the system. In the viscous regime, where hydrodynamic interactions are important, interfacial reactions cause a slowing down of the domain growth, but do not arrest the evolution of the mixture. The results provide guidelines for controlling the morphology of this complex ternary fluid.  相似文献

The deprotonated form of the pyrazine-2,3-diselenol (pds) ligand, pds(2-), reacts with Ni(II) inorganic salts to form the nickel compounds [Ni(II)(pds)(2)](nBu(4)N)(2) (1), [Ni(II)(pds)(2)]Na(2).2H(2)O (2), and [Ni(III)(pds)(2)](2)Na(2).4H(2)O (3), depending on the reaction conditions. They are characterized by NMR, EPR, UV-vis, and IR spectroscopies, elemental analysis, cyclic voltammetry, and X-ray crystallography. The crystal structure of compound 3 shows the formation of segregated stacks of Ni(pds)(2-) units, with a strong dimerization along the stacks. The stacked fashion of the crystal packing was expected since the supramolecular forces of the alkaline side coordination to the pyrazine moieties dominate, as happens in the recently reported analogous copper system [Cu(III)(pds)(2)]Na.2H(2)O. The structure of 2 further emphasizes the alkaline coordination as the dominating supramolecular event, and an orthogonal array of 2D layers is observed. The absence of alkaline cations in complex 1 is reflected in a crystal packing with isolated complex Ni(pds)(2)(2-) units. The dimerization found in the paramagnetic Ni(III) complex 3 promotes a very strong antiferromagnetic interaction, leading to a singlet ground state.  相似文献

The supramolecular organization of collagen adsorbed from a 7 microg/ml solution on polystyrene was investigated as a function of the adsorption duration (from 1 min to 24 h) and of the drying conditions (fast drying under a nitrogen flow, slow drying in a water-saturated atmosphere). The morphology of the created surfaces was examined by atomic force microscopy (AFM), while complementary information regarding the adsorbed amount and the organization of the adsorbed layers was obtained using radioassays, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and wetting measurements. The collagen adsorbed amount increased up to an adsorption duration of 5 h and then leveled off at a value of 0.9 microg/cm2. For samples obtained by fast drying, modeling of the N/C ratios obtained by XPS in terms of thickness and surface coverage, in combination with the adsorbed amount, water contact angle measurements and AFM images, indicated that the adsorbed layer formed a felt starting from 30 min of adsorption, the density and/or the thickness of which increased with the adsorption time. Upon slow drying, the collagen layers formed after adsorption times up to about 2 h underwent a strong reorganization. The obtained nanopatterns were attributed to dewetting, the liquid film being ruptured and adsorbed collagen being displaced by the water meniscus. At higher adsorption times, the organization of the collagen layer was similar to that obtained after fast drying, because the onset of dewetting and/or collagen displacement were prevented by the high density of the collagen felt.  相似文献

Iron and copper complexes of tetraphenyl-m-benziporphyrin (TPmBPH)H have been prepared and structurally characterized. The iron system, (TPmBPH)Fe(II)Br, contains a high-spin Fe(II) center. In the solid state the complex forms dimeric units linked by weak CH.Br hydrogen bonds. The Cu complex contains a tetrameric copper cluster with a Cu(2)Cl(4)(2)(-) unit bridging two [(TPmBPCl)Cu(II)](+) fragments. The formation of (TPmBPCl)H represents an example of copper-catalyzed chlorination on the internal carbon atom of (TPmBPH)H.  相似文献
