Kinetik und stereochemischer Verlauf der thermischen Umlagerung der vier stereoisomeren Propenyl-(but-2′-enyl)-äther

The gas-phase rearrangement of (1Z, 2′E)-, (1Z, 2′Z)-, (1E, 2′E)-, and (1E, 2′Z)- propenyl but-2′-enyl ether (Z, E)-, (Z, Z)-, (E, E)-, and (E, Z)-1) into erythro- and threo-2, 3-dimethyl-pent-4-en-al (erythro- and threo-2) was investigated over a temperature range from 142,5° to 190,0° at 20–35 Torr (for kinetic data and activation parameters see table 2). All four stereoisomeric ethers 1 rearrange preferentially via a chair-like transition state C into the aldehydes 2 (ΔΔG^≠ (160°) = 2,5–2,7 kcal/mol for B – C (B = boat-like transition state). The relative rates (k_rel) for (Z, Z)-1, (Z, E)-1, (E,Z)-1, and (E,E)-1 at 160° are 1,0, 2,9, 4,3 and 9,0 respectively (see table 5). Taking into account the relative enthalpies of the ethers 1 and the steric interaction in the C transition state of the ethers 1 (see table 6), k_rel values can be estimated. They are in good agreement with those observed (see table 5).

Summary D-property (=set of primes) in finite groups is not in general inherited by subgroups. In this paper, as evidence in favor of the following conjecture (F. Gross): (o) If a finite group G satisfies D then its normal subgroups satisfy D-property as well. the Author shows that if the D and the D-properties (=set of the primes not in ) hold together in a finite group G, then both are inherited by the normal subgroups of G. As a corollary, the characterization of the groups satisfying both the properties D and D is given in terms of the composition factors.     

Analysis of the 3-dimensional electron distribution in silicon using directional Compton profile measurements

A method of reconstructing the electron momentum density (p), and its Fourier transform,B(t), from a series of directional Compton profiles is described. It is based on a double Fourier inversion technique and an expansion in lattice harmonic functions. The effect of random errors has been analysed, and the implications for the data collection discussed. We have used the reconstruction technique to obtain (p) andB(t) for silicon from six directional Compton profiles measured with 412 KeV gamma-radiation. The experimental result is in good agreement with earlier measurements and with available solid state theories. A recent Wannier function calculation for silicon using orthogonalised bond orbitals provides a useful tool for identifying the physical origins of the observed anisotropies. A comparison between the information presented in position and momentum space shows that the ease of interpretation depends upon the degree to which the various interactions give rise to localised features in each representation.     

Mixed Azines of Naloxone with Dihydromorphinone Derivatives

The mixed azines 4 and 5 were prepared by reaction of naloxazone ( 2 ) with either oxymorphone ( 6 ) or 14-O-methyloxymorphone ( 7 ) and tested in vitro using opioid receptor binding assays and in vivo using the AcOH-writhing test in mice. Compound 4 was found to be a partial agonist, while compound 5 was a potent opioid agonist with higher potency than morphine.     

The Absolute Configuration of 1-Methylindane

It is shown unequivocally by chemical correlations (cf. Schemes 1--3) and Raman optical activity spectra (cf. Fig. 1 and 2) that the (R)-configuration has to be attributed to (+)-1-methylindane ((+)- 1 ). This is in contradiction to an earlier assignment of the (R)-configuration to (?)- 1 [2] which was based on the (R)-configuration of (+)-indane-1-carboxylic acid ( 3 ) [11].     

Flow injection analysis : Part VI. The determination of phosphate and chloride in blood serum by dialysis and sample dilution

The rapid determination of chloride and inorganic phosphate in blood serum based on continuous flow spectrophotometry was adapted to Flow Injection Analysis by applying dialysis as well as differential dilution of the injected samples. In addition to the manual injection procedure, an automated microsampling unit was developed and used. By continuous dialysis, chloride could be determined reproducibly at a sampling rate of 125 samples per hour at sample volumes of 60 μl or less. A similar sampling rate and high precision were obtained for the determination of inorganic phosphate by using differential dilution.     

Flow injection analysis. principles,applications and trends

The basic principles of Flow Injection Analysis are outlined. The parameters governing the dispersion of the injected sample zone in the system are discussed, and it is demonstrated how these parameters can be manipulated in order to suit the requirements of an individual analytical procedure. A number of examples illustrating the practical application of f.i.a. are described, comprising the use of automated, stopped-flow, merging-zones, extraction techniques as well as f.i.a. scanning and methods based on intermittent pumping. Updated lists on f.i.a. procedures published and species that can be determined by f.i.a. are included.     

Thermisches Verhalten von Cyclopropa[c]chromenen

The Cyclopropa[c]chromenes 14 , trans-and cis- 15 , trans-and cis- 16 and 17 rearrange on heating > 200° in N, N-diethylaniline to give 2-alkyl-2H-chromenes 7, 8, 21, 22. The rate determining step of this rearrangement is the ‘homoelectrocyclic’ ring opening of the cyclopro-pa[c]chromenes to give ω-allyl-quinomethanes of type 4. These intermediates show fast [1,5s] and [1,7a] H-shifts, followed by electrocyclic ring closure. Deuterium labelling experiments are in agreement with this mechanism. The remarkable dependence of the rates of rearrangement with respect to the stereochemistry of the cyclopropa[c]chromenes (cf. table 2) suggests that in the first step only one of the two possible disrotatory modes of ring opening is involved.
