Novel self-assembled monolayers were obtained on silver using 4,7-diazaheptyl-trimethoxy-silane (SiN) and vinyl-trialkoxy-silane (SiVA, where the alkyl group is 3,6,9,12,15,18,21,24,27,30,33,36,39,42,45,48,51,54,57,60-eicozaoxa- hexaheptaconan). It was shown that thus modified metal surface was protected against electrooxidation. A densely packed monolayer remained stable and did not desorb from the Ag electrode on the potential cycling. The structure of SiN and SiVA as well as their complexes with Li+ cations were calculated and visualised by the AM1d and PM5 semi-empirical methods. 相似文献
This paper is devoted to the analysis of function spaces modeled on Besov spaces and their applications to non-linear partial differential equations, with emphasis on the incompressible, isotropic Navier-Stokes system and semi-linear heat equations. Specifically, we consider the class, introduced by Hideo Kozono and Masao Yamazaki, of Besov spaces based on Morrey spaces, which we call Besov-Morrey or BM spaces. We obtain equivalent representations in terms of the Weierstrass semigroup and wavelets, and various embeddings in classical spaces. We then establish pseudo-differential and para-differential estimates. Our results cover non-regular and exotic symbols. Although the heat semigroup is not strongly continuous on Morrey spaces, we show that its action defines an equivalent norm. In particular, homogeneous BM spaces belong to a larger class constructed by Grzegorz Karch to analyze scaling in parabolic equations. We compare Karch's results with those of Kozono and Yamazaki and generalize them by obtaining short-time existence and uniqueness of solutions for arbitrary data with subcritical regularity. We exploit pseudo-differential calculus to extend the analysis to compact, smooth, boundaryless, Riemannian manifolds. BM spaces are defined by means of partitions of unity and coordinate patches, and intrinsically in terms of functions of the Laplace operator.
The synthesis of ORganically MOdified SILica (ORMOSIL) particles has been carried out using both the hydrolytic and non-hydrolytic sol-gel routes. The hybrid (nano)composites are organically modified with an alkyl or aryl group covalently bonded to silicon. Hybrids have been synthesised in an aqueous sol-gel process by a modified Stöber route, producing spherical nanoparticles with diameters in the range 50–300 nm. The size of the particles can be controlled by control of certain reaction parameters. Smaller ormosil nanoparticles can be synthesised by a base-catalysed emulsion polymerisation route, by varying the type and concentration of surfactant and precursor feed rate. In this case, particles in the size range 3.5–10 nm can be obtained. Hybrids have been synthesised from hyperbranched polyesters by encapsulation in a silica matrix using the hydrolytic sol-gel route. Optimisation of the reaction conditions allows the hybrids to be produced as isolated sub-micron spherical particles. Ormosil particles have also been synthesised using the non-hydrolytic sol-gel route, which may lead to products of different morphologies because of the different polarity of the reaction medium. Different reaction conditions were studied in order to optimise the size and shape of the particles, including choice of solvent, use of surfactants and addition of polystyrene. Dimethylsulfoxide acts as a novel oxygen donor for the catalyst-free formation of colourless silsesquioxanes. 相似文献
A nucleophilic substitution reaction between 4-tert-butylbenzyl bromide and a series of iodide salts has been performed in oil-in-water microemulsions based on either a fatty alcohol ethoxylate or a sugar surfactant. The reaction kinetics was compared with the kinetics of the same reaction performed in a microhomogeneous reaction medium, d-MeOH. Previous results showing a particularly high reactivity in the microemulsion based on the fatty alcohol ethoxylate was confirmed. It was shown that in both microemulsions the reaction rate was almost independent of the choice of counterion to iodide. This indicates that complexation of the cation with the surfactant headgroup, which, in particular, could have taken place with surfactants containing oligooxyethylene chains (a “crown ether effect”), seems not to be of importance.
127I NMR studies, as well as quadrupole splitting experiments performed by 2H NMR, indicate that there is a certain accumulation of iodide at the oil–water interface of the microemulsions. It is difficult to draw any quantitative conclusions in this respect, however.
The results obtained in this study, combined with results from previous investigations of the same reaction, indicate that the unexpectedly high reactivity obtained in the microemulsion based on a surfactant containing an oligooxyethylene headgroup is most probably due to the nucleophile being poorly solvated when present in the headgroup layer of such a microemulsion. Poorly solvated anions are known to be highly reactive nucleophiles. 相似文献
