The alkyl chain order in the lamellar liquid-crystalline phase formed in the octylamine/octylammonium chloride/water system has been investigated by 2H N.M.R. at constant mole ratio water/amphiphile and varying charge of the lamellae. We present simulation studies of the formation and dynamics of dark solitons and vortices in quantum electron plasmas. The electron dynamics in the latter is governed by a pair of equations comprising the nonlinear Schr?dinger and Poisson system of equations, which conserves the number of electrons as well as their momentum and energy. The present governing equations in one spatial dimension admit stationary solutions in the form a dark envelope soliton. The dynamics of the latter reveals its robustness. Furthermore, we numerically demonstrate the existence of cylindrically symmetric two-dimensional quantum electron vortices, which survive during collisions. The nonlinear structures presented here may serve the purpose of transporting information at quantum scales in ultracold micromechanical systems and dense plasmas, such as those created during intense laser-matter interactions. 相似文献

We study the accumulation of an elliptic fixed point of a real analytic Hamiltonian by quasi-periodic invariant tori. We show that a fixed point with Diophantine frequency vector ω 0 is always accumulated by invariant complex analytic KAM-tori. Indeed, the following alternative holds: If the Birkhoff normal form of the Hamiltonian at the invariant point satisfies a Rüssmann transversality condition, the fixed point is accumulated by real analytic KAM-tori which cover positive Lebesgue measure in the phase space (in this part it suffices to assume that ω 0 has rationally independent coordinates). If the Birkhoff normal form is degenerate, there exists an analytic subvariety of complex dimension at least d + 1 passing through 0 that is foliated by complex analytic KAM-tori with frequency ω 0. A theory for dressed quantum ion acoustic waves (QIAWs), which includes higher-order corrections when QIAWs are investigated by the reductive perturbation method, is presented for unmagnetized plasmas containing positive and negative ions and weakly relativistic electron beams. The properties of the QIAWs are investigated using a quantum hydrodynamic model, from which a Korteweg–de Vries equation is derived using the reductive perturbation method. An equation including higher-order dispersion and nonlinearity corrections is also derived, and the physical parameter space is discussed for the importance of these corrections. 相似文献

We demonstrate experimentally, for the first time, the feasibility of enhancing signals in Spatially Offset Raman Spectroscopy (SORS) using a dielectric bandpass filter, building on our earlier experimental work on the enhancement of transmission Raman signals. The method is shown to lead to the enhancement of both the surface and subsurface Raman layer signal improving the signal‐to‐noise ratio of Raman spectra from the deep areas of samples, thus enhancing the technique's sensitivity and penetration depth. The filter is placed over the laser illumination zone, on the sample surface acting as a ‘unidirectional’ mirror transmitting the collimated laser beam on one side and reflecting photons escaping from the sample back into it. This enhances the degree of coupling of laser radiation into the medium and associated generated Raman signal. The feasibility study was performed on a two‐layer sample with the second layer located at the limit of the penetration depth of the method for this sample. The sample consisted of a 2.2‐mm over‐layer of a thinned paracetamol tablet followed by a 2‐mm layer of trans‐stilbene powder. The Raman signal was collected from a spatially offset region through a hole fabricated within the filter. The experiments demonstrate the presence of an enhancement of the Raman signal from both the layers by a factor of 4.4–4.5 and the improved signal‐to‐noise ratio of sublayer signal by a factor of 2.2, in agreement with photon shot noise dominated signal. Three surface integral approaches of the acoustic analogies are studied to predict the noise from three concep- tual configurations of three-dimensional high-lift low-noise wings. The approaches refer to the Kirchhoff method, the Ffowcs Williams and Hawkings (FW-H) method of the permeable integral surface and the Curle method that is known as a special case of the FW-H method. The first two approaches are used to compute the noise generated by the core flow region where the energetic structures exist. The last approach is adopted to predict the noise specially from the pressure perturbation on the wall. A new way to con- struct the integral surface that encloses the core region is proposed for the first two methods. Considering the local properties of the flow around the complex object-the actual wing with high-lift devices-the integral surface based on the vorticity is constructed to follow the flow structures. The surface location is discussed for the Kirchhoff method and the FW-H method because a common surface is used for them. The noise from the core flow region is studied on the basis of the dependent integral quantities, which are indicated by the Kirchhoff formulation and by the FW-H formulation. The role of each wall component on noise contribution is analyzed using the Curle formulation. Effects of the volume integral terms of Lighthill's stress tensors on the noise pre-diction are then evaluated by comparing the results of the Curle method with the other two methods. 相似文献

Butadienyl dyes of the benzothiazole series with various fragments of benzocrown ethers 1a – c were synthesized for the first time. The structures and spectral properties of crown‐containing butadienyl dyes and their complexes with alkali and alkaline‐earth metal cations were studied by X‐ray diffraction analysis and 1H‐NMR, UV/VIS, and resonance Raman spectroscopy. To interpret the experimental results, quantum‐chemical calculations were performed. In the case of Sr2+ and Ba2+ ions, the formation of strong sandwich complexes [M( 1b )2]2+ of an unusual structure involving stacking interactions was established; the dye molecules are arranged one above another in the complex according to the ‘head‐to‐head' pattern. 相似文献

The implicit lower–upper symmetric Gauss–Seidel (LU-SGS) solver is combined with the line-implicit technique to improve convergence on the very anisotropic grids necessary for resolving the boundary layers. The computational fluid dynamics code used is Edge, a Navier–Stokes flow solver for unstructured grids based on a dual grid and edge-based formulation. Multigrid acceleration is applied with the intention to accelerate the convergence to steady state. LU-SGS works in parallel and gives better linear scaling with respect to the number of processors, than the explicit scheme. The ordering techniques investigated have shown that node numbering does influence the convergence and that the orderings from Delaunay and advancing front generation were among the best tested. 2D Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes computations have clearly shown the strong efficiency of our novel approach line-implicit LU-SGS which is four times faster than implicit LU-SGS and line-implicit Runge–Kutta. Implicit LU-SGS for Euler and line-implicit LU-SGS for Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes are at least twice faster than explicit and line-implicit Runge–Kutta, respectively, for 2D and 3D cases. For 3D Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes, multigrid did not accelerate the convergence and therefore may not be needed. 相似文献

A HPLC method was developed for the analysis of secoisolariciresinol diglucoside (SDG) and hydroxycinnamic acid glucosides in milled defatted flaxseed flour. Direct extraction by 1 M NaOH for 1 h at 20 degrees C resulted in a higher yield than that obtained by hydrolysis of alcoholic extracts. An internal standard, o-coumaric acid, was used and the method was found to be easy, fast, and with good repeatability. On dry matter basis, different samples of flaxseeds varied considerably in their content of (+)-SDG (11.9-25.9 mg/g), (-)-SDG (2.2-5.0 mg/g), p-coumaric acid glucoside (1.2-8.5 mg/g), and ferulic acid glucoside (1.6-5.0 mg/g). 相似文献

Plasma protein pools are often virus-inactivated by the solvent-detergent method, using tri-n-butyl phosphate and Triton X-100, followed by removal and determination of these compounds. We used reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography for the determination of Triton X-100 in coagulation factor VIII and factor IX products, Octonativ-M and Nanotiv, respectively (Pharmacia, Stockholm, Sweden). The chromatographic system included a C18 silica column and a linear acetonitrile gradient. The advantage of this method is the low detection limit (0.3 microg/ml) combined with detection at 280 nm, which gives a more stable baseline and has less interference from other compounds.
