Here we propose an A(4) flavor symmetry model that implies a lower bound on the neutrinoless double beta decay rate, corresponding to an effective mass parameter M{ee} > or similar to 0.03 eV, and a direct correlation between the expected magnitude of CP violation in neutrino oscillations and the value of sin{2}theta{13}, as well as a nearly maximal CP phase delta.  相似文献

The intra-channel collision of optical solitons, with dual-power law nonlinearity, is studied in this paper by the aid of quasi-particle theory. The perturbation terms that are considered in this paper are the nonlinear gain and saturable amplifiers along with filters. The suppression of soliton-soliton interaction, in presence of these perturbation terms, is acheived. The numerical simulations support the quasi-particle theory. Gold nanoparticles show thermal hysteresis with properties such as surface plasmon absorption, conductivity, and zeta potential. The direction of the incremental change in plasmon peak position and its extinction depend on the nature of surface conjugation. The thermal profile of a surface plasmon resonance spectrum for nanoparticles may serve as a signature for the associated small molecule or macromolecule on which it is seeded. The thermal responses of zeta potential and conductivity profile are found to be independent of the surface conjugation with the later being subjected to a phase transition phenomenon as revealed by a temperature criticality.  相似文献

A new numerical method of solving integro-differential equations appearing in the theory of atomic and nuclear scattering systems has been devised. It is termed Singular Value Decomposition Method (SVD). It consists in expanding the exchange kernel into a number of separable terms by means of the Singular Value Decomposition and then iterating over the remainder. In this paper, we extend our SVD method to the scattering of low energy electron-helium which has been the subject of interest, both theoretically and experimentally. We compare our results with the Moments Method which is widely used. The Moments Method consists of making an expansion of the solution into an especially favorable basis that takes care of the non-exchange part of the Hamiltonian.  相似文献

It is shown that SU(2)×U(1) can be broken at the tree level, without the occurrence of global potential minima that break U(1)e.m., in supergravity models that are more general than those proposed by Nilles, Srednicki and Wyler. Direct sulfonation and styrene‐mediated sulfonation were carried out onto metallocene‐based poly(ethylene‐co‐octene) (POE) and poly(ethylene‐co‐butene) (PBE) elastomers to impart polarity on the completely nonpolar rubbery matrices and to prepare a new class of elastomer. The influence of styrene‐grafting and pendant chain length on the degree of sulfonation was also studied. The effects of sulfonation, styrene grafting and styrene‐mediated sulfonation at their optimized levels on various physicomechanical properties were thoroughly investigated, and the resultant properties were correlated with structures of the modified elastomers. Higher extent of sulfonic acid groups were introduced through direct sulfonation in comparison with the styrene‐mediated sulfonation, whereas better thermal and mechanical properties were obtained through styrene‐mediated sulfonation in comparison with the direct sulfonation process.
