A novel synthetic route to substituted esters of imidazoles, oxazoles, thiazoles, and diethyl pyrazine-2,5-dicarboxylates via C-formylation of glycine ethyl ester hydrochloride is reported. Microstructural evolution of M250 grade maraging steel subjected to various thermal-aging treatments has been investigated using positron annihilation, X-ray diffraction, hardness and electron microscopy studies. Isochronal aging treatment in the range of 600–900 K, in steps of 100 K, was carried out and positron lifetime, austenite volume fraction and hardness values have been measured. The stages corresponding to point defect dynamics and formation of intermetallics have been clearly identified. Based on these results, measurements were performed on specimens isothermally aged at 755 K from 0.1 to 100 h to elucidate the time evolution of microstructural changes, and the results are discussed.  相似文献

Novel polystyrene nanoparticles were synthesized by the controlled intramolecular crosslinking of linear polymer chains to produce well‐defined single‐molecule nanoparticles of varying molecular mass, corresponding directly to the original linear precursor chain. These nanoparticles are ideal to study the relaxation dynamics/processes of high molecular mass polymer melts, as the high degree of intramolecular crosslinking potentially inhibits entanglements. Both the nanoparticles and their linear analogs were characterized by measuring their intrinsic viscosity, hydrodynamic radius (Rh), and radius of gyration (Rg). The ratio Rg/Rh was computed to characterize the molecular architecture of the nanoparticles in solution, revealing a shift toward the constant density sphere limit with increasing crosslink density and molecular mass. Further, confirming particulate behavior, Kratky plots obtained from neutron scattering data show a shift toward particle‐like nature. The rheological behavior of the particles was found to be strongly dependent on both the extent of intramolecular crosslinking and molecular mass, with a minimal viscosity change at low crosslinking levels and a gel‐like behavior evident for a large degree of crosslinking. These and other results suggest the presence of a secondary mode of polymer relaxation/movement besides reptation, which in this case, is influenced by the total number of crosslinked loops present in the nanoparticle. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Known liquids that can reversibly switch their polarity at atmospheric pressure are all prepared as mixtures of two liquid components; we now report a series of switchable-polarity solvents that consist, in their low-polarity form, of only a single liquid component, a secondary amine. These solvents operate in a polarity range that is significantly lower than those of previously reported switchable solvents. Application to the separation and purification of a polymer and recovery of a catalyst is described.  相似文献

Cu and Ag precursors that are volatile, reactive, and thermally stable are currently of high interest for their application in atomic-layer deposition (ALD) of thin metal films. In pursuit of new precursors for coinage metals, namely Cu and Ag, a series of new N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC)-based CuI and AgI complexes were synthesized. Modifications in the substitution pattern of diketonate-based anionic backbones led to five monomeric Cu complexes and four closely related Ag complexes with the general formula [M(tBuNHC)(R)] (M=Cu, Ag; tBuNHC=1,3-di-tert-butyl-imidazolin-2-ylidene; R=diketonate). Thermal analysis indicated that most of the Cu complexes are thermally stable and volatile compared to the more fragile Ag analogs. One of the promising Cu precursors was evaluated for the ALD of nanoparticulate Cu metal deposits by using hydroquinone as the reducing agent at appreciably low deposition temperatures (145–160 °C). This study highlights the considerable impact of the employed ligand sphere on the structural and thermal properties of metal complexes that are relevant for vapor-phase processing of thin films.  相似文献
