We develop a moving grid Eulerian-Lagrangian Localized Adjoint Method (ELLAM) to solve the one-dimensional nonlinear Advective-Dispersive-Reactive Equation (ADRE) that governs contaminant transfer with biological/chemical/radioactive processes. The method uses a moving grid to define the solution and test functions. Consequently, the need for spatial interpolation, which is a major issue in conventional ELLAM formulations, is avoided. We apply the developed method for variable-coefficient ADRE with different time and spatial discretizations. Numerical experiments show the strength of the developed scheme. Accurate results are obtained even when using large time steps. In the last part of this paper, ELLAM is used to simulate the nonlinear ADRE that arises for reactive subsurface transport with biodegradation.  相似文献

The optical nonlinearity of styryl7 dye in ethanol solution at different concentrations has been studied using pulsed Nd:YAG laser at 532 nm as the source of excitation. The optical responses were characterized by measuring the intensity dependent refractive index (n2) of the medium using the Z-scan technique. The open aperture Z-scan trace of the dye in solution displayed saturable absorption. The closed aperture Z-scan trace of the dye exhibited a negative nonlinearity. The styryl7 dye at 1 mM concentration exhibited nonlinear refractive co-efficient n2 = −1.24 × 10−8 cm2/W, nonlinear absorption coefficient β = − 3.9 × 10−4 cm/W and real and imaginary parts of third-order nonlinear optical susceptibility χ3 = 3.26 × 10−6 esu in ethanol. These results showed that the dye has potential application in nonlinear optics.  相似文献

用浸渍法制备γ-Al2O3负载的Ni-Mn双金属催化剂.在500~700 oC按照17:17:2的CO2/CH4/N2比例,以36 mL/min的载气流速进行甲烷二氧化碳重整反应, 利用甲烷二氧化碳的转化率、生成的合成气H2/CO比例以及长期稳定性等指标评价了催化剂的催化性能. 实验表明, 添加Mn提高催化性能并使双金属催化剂的稳定性更高, 比单金属催化剂更好地抑制焦炭生成,Mn最合适的添加量0.5wt% .通过BET、CO2-TPD、TGA、XRD、SEM、EDX和FTIR各种技术对催化剂进行了表征.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is twofold. First, we extend the results of Matoussi et al. (2013) concerning the existence and uniqueness of second-order reflected 2BSDEs to the case of two obstacles. Under some regularity assumptions on one of the barriers, similar to the ones in Crépey and Matoussi (2008), and when the two barriers are completely separated, we provide a complete wellposedness theory for doubly reflected second-order BSDEs. We also show that these objects are related to non-standard optimal stopping games, thus generalizing the connection between DRBSDEs and Dynkin games first proved by Cvitani? and Karatzas (1996). More precisely, we show under a technical assumption that the second order DRBSDEs provide solutions of what we call uncertain Dynkin games and that they also allow us to obtain super and subhedging prices for American game options (also called Israeli options) in financial markets with volatility uncertainty.  相似文献

Two series of Co and Ni based catalysts supported over commercial (ZrO2, CeO2, and Al2O3) nano supports were investigated for dry reforming of methane. The catalytic activity of both Co and Ni based catalysts were assessed at different reaction temperatures ranging from 500—800 °C; however, for stability the time on stream experiments were conducted at 700 °C for 6 h. Various techniques such as N2 adsorption‐desorption isotherm, temperature‐programmed reduction (H2‐TPR), temperature‐programmed desorption (CO2‐TPD), temperature‐programmed oxidation (TPO), X‐ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) were applied for characterization of fresh and spent catalysts. The catalytic activity and stability tests clearly showed that the performance of catalyst is strongly dependent on type of active metal and support. Furthermore, active metal particle size and Lewis basicity are key factors which have significant influence on catalytic performance. The results indicated that Ni supported over nano ZrO2 exhibited highest activity among all tested catalysts due to its unique properties including thermal stability and reducibility. The minimum carbon deposition and thus relatively stable performance was observed in case of Co‐Al catalyst, since this catalyst has shown highest Lewis basicity.  相似文献

A simple design of one-dimensional omni-directional reflector based on photonic crystal heterostructures structure has been proposed. The proposed structure consists of a periodic array of alternate layers of SiO2 and Te as the materials of low and high refractive indices, respectively. The structure considered here has three stacks of periodic structures having five layers each. The lattice period of successive stack is increased by a certain multiple (say gradual constant, δ) of the lattice period of the just preceding stack. For numerical computation, the method of transfer matrix method (TMM) has been employed. It is found that such a structure has wider reflection bands in comparison to a conventional dielectric PC structure and the width of the omni-directional reflection (ODR) bands can be enlarged by increasing the value of the gradual constant δ.  相似文献
