This is the report of flavor physics and model building working group at WHEPP-9. While activites in flavor physics have been mainly focused on B-physics, those in model building have been primarily devoted to neutrino physics. A device for performing vector transmission spectroscopy on aqueous and polar solvent specimens at terahertz frequencies is presented. The device enables the direct measurement of the complex dielectric function across the terahertz band using a Fourier transform IR spectrometer for lossy solutions. Using microfluidic sampling, specimen handling is straightforward and direct measurements on polar specimens are made possible. The method is scalable to longer or shorter wavelengths.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

A low carbon high Mn, Ti microalloyed dual phase TWIP steel has been processed through cold rolling and annealing. X-ray diffraction reveals the maximum austenite (≈92%) in HRACST sample whereas, the 50CD sample shows 29% ferrite. The microstructure of HRAC and HRACST samples reveal austenite grains with annealing twins and deformation induced ferrite (DIF). The higher amount of DIF along with deformation twins form during cold deformation. Annealing at 500°C shows recovery, whereas at 700°C shows partial recrystallisation and at 900°C reveals almost full recrystallisation. TEM microstructures of the 900°C for 30?min samples reveal annealing twins with TiC particle. Strong Brass {110}<112> and Goss{110}<001> texture components are observed in HRAC, HRACST and 50CD samples. Goss Twin (GT) {113}<332> and Copper Twin (Cu-T) {552}<115> components are observed in 50CD sample. Addition of Ti results in an average grain size of 20?μm. Maximum YS (1176?MPa) and UTS (1283?MPa) values with the lowest ductility of 11% have been obtained for the 50CD sample which is related to the formation of extensive deformation twin and a higher fraction of DIF. 700°C-30?min and 700°C-60?min samples show an increase in ductility (23% and 34%, respectively) with a marginal decrease in tensile strength (1054?MPa). Annealing at 900°C shows ductility restoration up to 60% with higher tensile strength compared to HRACST sample. Ductile fracture of HRAC and HRACST samples transform to brittle fracture in the 50CD sample. Annealing at 900°C for 30?min shows ductile fracture with some (Fe, Mn)S and TiC particles.  相似文献

Transition energies, oscillator strengths and transition probability values for radiative transitions have been calculated for the highly ionised atoms of Si isoelectronic sequence from Mn11+ to Kr22+ for the singly excited states up to principal quantum number n = 7. Time-dependent coupled Hartree-Fock (TDCHF) theory has been used to estimate such transition properties. Most of the results for the oscillator strengths and transition probabilities are new. This theoretical study attempts to find out similarity between metformin and glitazone class of antidiabetic drugs. It was found that some tautomeric forms of both metformin and thiazolidinedione ring of glitazones have similar molecular electrostatic potential (MESP) surface and may bind to a common complementary surface. The neocortical commissures have a fundamental role in functional integration across the cerebral hemispheres. We investigated whether commissural projections in prefrontal cortices are organized according to the same or different rules as those within the same hemisphere, by quantitatively comparing density, topography, and laminar origin of contralateral and ipsilateral projections, labeled after unilateral injection of retrograde tracers in prefrontal areas.  相似文献

Acoustic emission spectra measurements have been carried out under mono and multi-frequency acoustic sources to understand the fundamental difference in bubble/cavity dynamics. The effect of introducing the dual and triple frequency acoustic waves of different frequency on the sono-chemical yield has also been investigated experimentally. The introduction of a second wave has increased the number of cavitating bubbles and as well as the collapsing intensity of cavities resulting into higher sono-chemical yield, and better effective utilization of reactor volume with a large number of resonating cavitating bubbles. To get the information about the intensity of each of the cavity oscillating events, decomposition of the pressure signal measured by the hydrophone in the frequency domain of the FFT power spectrum has been carried out. Inverse fourier reconstruction technique, has been used to elaborate the dynamics of the cavitating bubbles in the multi-frequency system.  相似文献

A terahertz polarization insensitive dual band metamaterial absorber   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Metamaterial absorbers have attracted considerable attention for applications in the terahertz range. In this Letter, we report the design, fabrication, and characterization of a terahertz dual band metamaterial absorber that shows two distinct absorption peaks with high absorption. By manipulating the periodic patterned structures as well as the dielectric layer thickness of the metal-dielectric-metal structure, significantly high absorption can be obtained at specific resonance frequencies. Finite-difference time-domain modeling is used to design the structure of the absorber. The fabricated devices have been characterized using a Fourier transform IR spectrometer. The experimental results show two distinct absorption peaks at 2.7 and 5.2?THz, which are in good agreement with the simulation. The absorption magnitudes at 2.7 and 5.2?THz are 0.68 and 0.74, respectively.  相似文献
