In this paper we apply a recently developed new version of the Bredon-Illman cohomology theory to obtain an equivariant analogue of a result of Kan and Thurston, which implies that a connected CW-complex has the homotopy type of a space obtained by applying the plus construction of Quillen to certain Eilenberg-MacLane spaces.

In this paper, numerical solutions of fractional Fokker–Planck equations with Riesz space fractional derivatives have been developed. Here, the fractional Fokker–Planck equations have been considered in a finite domain. In order to deal with the Riesz fractional derivative operator, shifted Grünwald approximation and fractional centred difference approaches have been used. The explicit finite difference method and Crank–Nicolson implicit method have been applied to obtain the numerical solutions of fractional diffusion equation and fractional Fokker–Planck equations, respectively. In this paper we consider experimental situations requiring usage of a row-column design where v treatments are to be applied to experimental units arranged in b 1 rows and b 2 columns where row i has size k 1i , i=1,..., b 1 and column j has size k 2j , j=1,..., b 2. Conditions analogous to those given in Kunert (1983, Ann. Statis., 11, 247–257) and Cheng (1978, Ann. Statist., 6, 1262–1272) are given which can often be used to establish the optimality of a given row-column design from the optimality of an associated block design. We analyze a pair of delay-coupled FitzHugh–Nagumo oscillators exhibiting in-out intermittency as a part of the generating mechanism of extreme events. We study in detail the characteristics of in-out intermittency and identify the invariant subsets involved – a saddle fixed point and a saddle periodic orbit – neither of which are chaotic as in the previously reported cases of in-out intermittency. Based on the analysis of a periodic attractor possessing in-out dynamics, we can characterize the approach to the invariant synchronization manifold and the spiralling out to the saddle periodic orbit with subsequent ejection from the manifold. In this review we discuss the evolution of the universe filled with dark energy with or without perfect fluid. In doing so we consider a number of cosmological models, namely Bianchi type I, III, V, VI0, VI and FRW ones. For the anisotropic cosmological models we have used proportionality condition as an additional constrain. The exact solutions to the field equations in quadrature are found in case of a BVI model. It was found that the proportionality condition used here imposed severe restriction on the energy-momentum tensor, namely it leads to isotropic distribution of matter. Anisotropic BVI0, BV, BIII and BIDE models with variable EoS parameter ω have been investigated by using a law of variation for the Hubble parameter. In this case the matter distribution remains anisotropic, though depending on the concrete model there appear different restrictions on the components of energy-momentum tensor. That is why we need an extra assumption such as variational a law for the Hubble parameter. It is observed that, at the early stage, the EoS parameter v is positive i.e. the universe was matter dominated at the early stage but at later time, the universe is evolving with negative values, i.e., the present epoch. DE model presents the dynamics of EoS parameter ω whose range is in good agreement with the acceptable range by the recent observations. A spatially homogeneous and anisotropic locally rotationally symmetric Bianchi-I space time filled with perfect fluid and anisotropic DE possessing dynamical energy density is studied. In the derived model, the EoS parameter of DE (ω(de)) is obtained as time varying and it is evolving with negative sign which may be attributed to the current accelerated expansion of Universe. The distance modulus curve of derived model is in good agreement with SNLS type Ia supernovae for high redshift value which in turn implies that the derived model is physically realistic. A system of two fluids within the scope of a spatially flat and isotropic FRW model is studied. The role of the two fluids, either minimally or directly coupled in the evolution of the dark energy parameter, has been investigated. In doing so we have used three different ansatzs regarding the scale factor that gives rise to a variable decelerating parameter. It is observed that, in the non-interacting case, both the open and flat universes can cross the phantom region whereas in the interacting case only the open universe can cross the phantom region. The stability and acceptability of the obtained solution are also investigated.  相似文献

This paper presents an experimental and theoretical study on facilitated transport of lignosulfonate (LS) through a flat sheet supported liquid membrane using trioctylamine (TOA) as carrier and dichloroethane as diluent. The studies were carried out with various support materials and operating conditions (viz. carrier concentration, strip phase concentration, salt concentration, etc.) and their effects on the transport of LS. The results were analyzed to identify a suitable combination of support and operating condition that would yield best performance of the supported liquid membrane (SLM) in terms of fast and efficient transport of LS. The stability of the SLM was assessed in terms of loss of liquid from the pores of membrane support. The SLM is found to be stable till 10 h. Co-transport mechanism has been adopted in this work by using NaOH as the strip phase. It was observed that extraction of LS is increased with increase in concentration of NaOH up to a limiting value of 0.5 M NaOH. Difference of salt concentration between feed and strip phase considerably affect the separation process. The diffusional resistances of organic membrane (Δorg) and aqueous solution (Δaq) calculated from the permeation model, which is again a combination of three unique mechanisms viz., diffusion through a feed aqueous layer, a fast interfacial chemical reaction, and diffusion of carrier–complex through the organic membrane, are found to be 609.9 and 176.6 s cm−1, respectively. The values of the diffusion coefficient in the membrane (Dorg) and in the bulk organic phase (Dcomplex) are 1.67×10−9 and 6.68 × 10−8 m2s−1, respectively. The extraction of LS is about 90%. Nearly 43% of LS can be recovered at optimum condition.  相似文献

In this paper, a delayed Holling-Tanner predator-prey model with ratio-dependent functional response is considered. It is proved that the model system is permanent under certain conditions. The local asymptotic stability and the Hopf-bifurcation results are discussed. Qualitative behaviour of the singularity (0,0) is explored by using a blow up transformation. Global asymptotic stability analysis of the positive equilibrium is carried out. Numerical simulations are presented for the support of our analytical findings.  相似文献
