Abstract— Interaction of naphthalene triplets with trans -piperylene leads to triplet energy transfer with unit efficiency. When cis -piperylene is used as a quencher of naphthalene triplets, the efficiency of triplet energy transfer is found to be 0–76 ± 004. The rest of the quenching encounters in this case lead to deactivation of naphthalene triplets, without energy transfer.  相似文献

We present the implementation and demonstration of the Chebyshev pseudo-spectral method coupled with an adaptive mesh method for performing fast and highly accurate electrophoresis simulations. The Chebyshev pseudo-spectral method offers higher numerical accuracy than all other finite difference methods and is applicable for simulating all electrophoresis techniques in channels with open or closed boundaries. To improve the computational efficiency, we use a novel moving mesh scheme that clusters the grid points in the regions with poor numerical resolution. We demonstrate the application of the Chebyshev pseudo-spectral method on a moving mesh for simulating nonlinear electrophoretic processes through examples of isotachophoresis (ITP), isoelectric focusing (IEF), and electromigration-dispersion in capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) at current densities as high as 1000 A/m. We also show the efficacy of our moving mesh method over existing methods that cluster the grid points in the regions with large concentration gradients. We have integrated the adaptive Chebyshev pseudo-spectral method in the open-source SPYCE simulator and verified its implementation with other electrophoresis simulators.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung Wir untersuchten auf polarographischem Wege die Kinetik der Entladung von Zn2+ und Ni2+ an der Quecksilbertropfelektrode in einem Thiomalatmedium konstanter Ionenstärke (=0,5). Wir stellten fest, daß die Reduktion von Zn2+ und Ni2+ irreversibel verläuft und berechneten daher die kinetischen Parameter (Übertragungskoeffizient , Geschwindigkeitskonstante der HinreaktionK f,h o ) nach dem theoretischen Verfahren vonKoutecky in der vonMeites undIsrael erweiterten Form.
Kinetics of discharge of Zn2+ and Ni2+ at the D.M.E. in thiomalate media
Kinetics of discharge of Zn2+ and Ni2+ have been studied polarographically in thiomalate media of constant ionic strength (=0.5) at the dropping mercury electrode. The reduction of both Zn2+ and Ni2+ was found to be irreversible. Hence, the kinetic parameters (transfer coefficient , and forward rate constantK j,h o ) have been calculated byKoutecky's theoretical treatment as extended byMeites andIsrael.

o-Iodosobenzoate has been used as a titrant at pH 7 with potassium iodide and starch as indicator, under Andrews' titration conditions with iodine monochloride as preoxidant, and in acid medium with potassium bromide and Methyl Red as indicator. Methods are described for the determination of tetrathionate (through disulphide cleavage by cysteine), hydrogen sulphite, thiosulphate, xanthates, cysteine and glutathione in certain combinations (involving masking of sulphite and thiols with acrylonitrile). Hexacyanoferrate(II) is determined in the presence of arsenic(III), antimony(III) and thallium(I). Sulphathiazole, sulphadiazine and sulphamerazine consume six equivalents of bromine per mole, but phthalation or diazotization of the aromatic amino group prevents disubstitution of bromine in the benzene ring. Chloramphenicol is determined by reduction of its aromatic nitro group to an amino group, followed by bromination. Rutin and vitamin C react with eight and two equivalents of bromine per mole respectively.  相似文献

A highly sensitive spectrophotometric method for the determination of nitrite in water and soil has been developed. The reaction of nitrite with acidified potassium iodide to liberate iodine which oxidizes leuco‐crystal violet (LCV) to form crystal violet having absorption maxima at 590 nm forms the bases of this method. In aqueous medium the system obeys Beer's law in the range of 0.1 to 1.0 μg per 25 mL (0.004–0.04 ppm), while in an extractive system the range is 0.025–0.25 μg in 100 mL (0.00025–0.0025 ppm). The molar absorptivity and Sandell's sensitivity were found to be 1.54 × 106 1 mol?1 cm?1 and 44 pg cm?2, respectively.  相似文献

Summary Copper, palladium and nickel can be titrated amperometrically with 2,5-dihydroxyacetophenone oxime at –0.15, –0.4 and, –1.2 V vs. S. C. E. respectively, the optimum pH values being 4.6, 4.0, and 9.0. Alkali and alkaline earth metals, Al, Bi, Cd, Co, Cr. Fe(II), Hg, Mn, Ni, Pb, Th, Zn, UO, W, and Zr do not interfere with the estimation of copper and palladium. The interferences due to the presence of silver and iron(III) can be eliminated by adding excess of KCl and KF respectively. Most heavy metals interfere with the estimation of nickel and should be eliminated before titration.
Zusammenfassung Kupfer, Palladium und Nickel können mit 2,5-Dihydroxyaeetophenonoxim bei –0,15, –0,4 bzw. –1,2 V gegen eine gesättigte Kalomelelektrode amperometrisch titriert werden, wobei man das pH am besten auf 4,6, 4,0 bzw. 9,0 hält. Alkalimetalle, Erdalkalien, Al, Bi, Cd, Co, Cr, Fe(II), Hg, Mn, Ni, Pb, Th, Zn, UO2, W und Zr stören die Bestimmung des Kupfers und des Palladiums. Silber und Eisen können mit Kaliumchlorid gefällt bzw. mit Kaliumfluorid maskiert werden. Die meisten Schwermetalle stören die Nickelbestimmung und müssen daher vor der Titration entfernt werden.

The order parameter model assumes that the state of a glass or liquid depends on T, P and a number of order parameters Zi. Structural relaxation is due to the kinetically impeded evolution of the order parameters following a rapid change in T or P. The linear relaxation function for the evolution of property Q (V or H) in response to a change in X (T or P) is of the form φQX = ΣigiQX exp(?i). Expressions are derived for the qeighting coefficients giQX in terms of the dependences of V and H on the various order parameters. It is shown that giVT = giHP and that giVTgiHP/giVPgiHT = II, where II is the Prigogine-Defay ratio. The corresponding relations among the relaxation functions are φVT = φHP and φVTφHP/φVPφHT ? II. The predictions of the order parameter model for structural relaxation are compared with and found generally to agree with existing literature data. A number of suggestions for future investigations to test this model are made.  相似文献

Summary A variational principle for forced convection in laminar flow in uniform channels is formulated. The concepts of thermal potential, dissipation function and thermal force have been introduced and a Lagrangian formulation of the thermal flow field using generalized coordinates is given. Special consideration is given to heat transfer in plug flow when the thermal field is a linear function of the generalized coordinates. The concept of normal and ignorable coordinates is introduced. An example showing the use of Lagrangian equations is worked out.  相似文献

Porous noble metal nanomaterials have attracted extensive attention due to their high specific surface area and surface plasmon resonance effect. However, it is difficult to form porous structures due to the high mobility and low reduction potential of noble metal precursors. In this article, we developed a facile method for preparing porous Ag with a controllable structure at room temperature. Two kinds of Ag crystals with different porous structures were successfully prepared by using AgCl cubes as sacrificial templates. Through the galvanic replacement reaction of Zn and AgCl, Ag crystals with a sponge-like porous structure were successfully prepared. Additionally, using NaBH4 as the reducing agent, we prepared granular porous Ag cubes by optimizing the amount of reducing agent. Both the sponge-like and granular porous Ag cubes have clean and accessible surfaces. In addition, we used the prepared two porous Ag cubes as substrate materials for SERS detection of five kinds of methamphetamine analogs. The experimental results show that the enhancement effect of granular porous Ag is better than that of sponge-like porous Ag. Furthermore, we probed the hot spot distribution of granular porous Ag by Raman mapping. By using granular porous Ag as the substrate material, we have achieved trace detection of 5 kinds of methamphetamine analogs including Ephedrine, Amphetamine, N-Methyl-1-(benzofuran-5-yl)propan-2-amine (5-MAPB), N-Methyl-1-(4-methoxyphenyl)propan-2-amine (PMMA) and N-Methyl-1-(4-fluorophenyl)propan-2-amine (4-FMA). Furthermore, to achieve qualitative differentiation of analogs with similar structures we performed density functional theoretical (DFT) calculations on the Raman spectra of the above analogs. The DFT calculations provided the vibrational frequencies, Raman activities, and normal mode assignment for each analog, enabling the qualitative differentiation of the above analogs.  相似文献

To develop new compounds with high activity, broad spectrum and low-toxicity, 17 benzamides substituted with quinoline-linked 1,2,4-oxadiazole were designed using the splicing principle of active substructures and were synthesized. The biological activities were evaluated against 10 fungi, indicating that some of the synthetic compounds showed excellent fungicidal activities. For example, at 50 mg/L, the inhibitory activity of 13p (3-Cl-4-Cl substituted, 86.1%) against Sclerotinia sclerotiorum was superior to that of quinoxyfen (77.8%), and the inhibitory activity of 13f (3-CF3 substituted, 77.8%) was comparable to that of quinoxyfen. The fungicidal activities of 13f and 13p to Sclerotinia sclerotiorum were better than that of quinoxyfen (14.19 mg/L), with EC50 of 6.67 mg/L and 5.17 mg/L, respectively. Furthermore, the acute toxicity of 13p was 19.42 mg/L, classifying it as a low-toxic compound.  相似文献
