The kinetic investigations of the malonic acid decomposition (8.00 × 10−3 mol dm−3 ≤ [CH2(COOH)2]0 ≤ 4.30 × 10−2 mol dm−3) in the Belousov-Zhabotinsky (BZ) system in the presence of bromate, bromide, sulfuric acid and cerium sulfate, were performed in the isothermal closed well stirred reactor at different temperatures (25.0°C ≤ T ≤ 45.0°C). The formal kinetics of the overall BZ reaction, and particularly kinetics in characteristic periods of BZ reaction, based on the analyses of the bromide oscillograms, was accomplished. The evolution as well as the rate constants and the apparent activation energies of the reactions, which exist in the preoscillatory and oscillatory periods, are also successfully calculated by numerical simulations. Human serum albumin (HSA) was subjected to oxidative stress and the locations of the resulting protein carbonyls were determined using mass spectrometry in conjunction with a hydrazide labeling scheme. To model oxidative stress, HSA samples were subjected to metal-catalyzed oxidation (MCO) conditions or treated with hypochlorous acid (HOCl). Oxidation led to the conversion of lysine residues to 2-aminoadipic semi-aldehyde residues, which were subsequently labeled with biotin hydrazide. Analysis of the tryptic peptides from the samples indicates that the oxidations are highly selective. Under MCO conditions, only two of the 59 lysine residues appeared to be modified (Lys-97 and Lys-186). With HOCl, five different lysine modification sites were identified (Lys-130, Lys-257, Lys-438, Lys-499, and Lys-598). These results strongly suggest that the preferred site of modification is dependent on the nature of the oxidant and that the process relies on specific structural motifs in the protein to direct the oxidation. The high selectivity seen here provides insights into the factors that in vivo drive the selective carbonylation of specific proteins in systems under oxidative stress.  相似文献

Silver nano-colloid was prepared by chemical reduction method and its nonlinear absorption properties were investigated by using open aperture z-scan experiment with nanosecond laser pulses operating at 532?nm. Interestingly, a switch over from saturable absorption to reverse saturable absorption was observed when the input intensity is increased from 28.1 to 175.8?MW/cm2. The underlying mechanism responsible for the observed switching behaviour is the interplay between ground state plasmon band bleaching and excited state absorption. Theoretical fitting was done by using a model in which nonlinear absorption coefficient as well as saturation intensity are incorporated.  相似文献

The S(1D)+D2-->SD+D reaction has been studied through a photolysis-probe experiment in a cell. S(1D) reagent was prepared by 193 nm photolysis of CS2, and the SD(X 2Pi) product was detected by laser fluorescence excitation. The nascent rotational/fine-structure state distribution of the SD(X 2Pi) product was determined. This reaction, previously studied theoretically and in a crossed molecular beam experiment, is known to proceed through formation and decay of a long-lived collision complex involving the deep well in the H2S ground electronic state. The determined SD rotational state distribution in the v=0 vibrational level was found to be approximately statistical, with a small preference for formation of the F1 (Omega=3/2) fine-structure manifold over F2 (Omega=1/2). The branching into the Lambda doublet levels was also investigated, and essentially equal populations of levels of A' and A" symmetry were found. The present results are compared with previous investigations of this reaction and the analogous O(1D)+D2 reaction.  相似文献

The resumption of oscillatory trains in the non-oscillatory region subsequent to completion of the last oscillation, as a phenomenon interesting for the stability of any reaction which can reach the oscillatory state in principle, is analyzed here for the case of the Bray-Liebhafsky reaction. It is shown that this effect is affected by temperature, acidity, initial concentration of hydrogen peroxide and quantity of added water.

Integrity profiling of HTS hits is valuable for verification of the hit identity and purity. This provides early discovery researchers with more confident SAR theories. Methodology for integrity profiling of HTS hits must be high throughput, consume little material, and selectively provide structure-based data. We report photo and electroluminescence efficiency of a thiophene oligomer functionalized to enhance its solid-state efficiency. We find that the absolute PL quantum yield is up to 37% for spin-coated thin films of the compound. The material has been used as active material in organic light-emitting diodes (LEDs). EL efficiencies up to 0.9 cd/A are demonstrated in LEDs prepared with a blend indium tin oxide and Ca–Al electrodes.  相似文献
