The effect of interfacial tension on the phase inversion process during horizontal pipe flow of an oil-aqueous solution was investigated. Interfacial tension was varied by adding small amounts of glycerol in the water phase. At these glycerol concentrations the density and viscosity of the aqueous phase changed by 1% or less. Exxsol™ D140 (5.5 mPa s, 828 kg m−3) was used as the oil phase. The experiments were carried out in a 38 mm ID acrylic test pipe. The phase continuity and appearance of phase inversion were investigated using conductivity (wire and ring) probes and an Electrical Resistance Tomographic (ERT) system. The ERT also provided diagrams of the phase distribution in a pipe cross section. Drop size distribution was monitored using a dual impedance probe. It was found that starting from a water continuous flow with increasing oil fraction at constant mixture velocity the mixture inverted initially in the middle of the pipe (measured at 19 mm from the top pipe wall) while a higher oil fraction was required for inversion at the top (measured at 4 mm from the top pipe wall) and finally the rest of the pipe. The addition of glycerol did not affect the phase fraction where the initial inversion occurred but caused an increase in the oil fraction needed to complete the inversion. The drop size measurements were used to explain this behaviour. Pressure drop was found to decrease with increasing oil fraction but this trend reversed when inversion spread to the pipe wall and the oil continuous phase came in contact with it.  相似文献

The molecule of 4-tricyanovinyl-N,N-diethylaniline is disordered about an axis that is close to the axis passing through the 1,4-carbon atoms. The disorder is a 1:1 type of disorder that involves only part of the molecule as the diethylamino substitutent and the three nitrogen atoms of the tricyanovinyl substituent are ordered. The treatment of the nearly ‘whole-molecule disorder’ by employing a small number of restraints is described. Crystal data: C15H14N4, triclinic, P , a = 7.1996(5), b = 7.7232(5), c = 12.4171(8) , α = 99.350(1), β = 94.647(1), γ = 103.312(1)o and V = 657.90(8) 3 at –173 K.  相似文献

17O MQMAS NMR was used to characterize the influence of zirconium on the structural organization of soda-lime borosilicate glasses. A new method of quantitative analysis of the 17O MQMAS spectra is presented, by a direct fit of the two-dimensional MQMAS spectrum which provides the resolution of all the structural groups in glasses containing up to five oxides. Additional data were also obtained from the quantitative deconvolution of the 11B MAS NMR spectra, with the help of the direct fit of MQMAS data as well. Excess of non-bridging oxygen is clearly identified in these glasses. Sixfolded zirconium is preferentially compensated rather than the tetrahedral boron and calcium only partially compensate the tetrahedral boron. Alteration gels arising from glass leaching were probed by oxygen-17 supplied by the alteration solution. Most of the zirconium is inserted in the silicate network forming Si-O-Zr bonds with the same configuration in the glass and in the gel. During leaching, calcium clearly remains in the alteration gel, either near non-bridging oxygen or as a zirconium charge compensator. This quantitative approach applied to 17O MQMAS spectra demonstrates its potential for investigating the structure of increasingly complex glass and gel compositions.  相似文献

To overcome ampicillin-resistance of bacteria which is believed to attribute their endogenous B-lactamase, we designed three 10-23 DNAzymes(Dz1, Dz2. Dz3) targeting the coding region of B-lactamase mRNA and examined their inhibitory capabilities of the ampicillin-resistance of TEM-1 and TEM-3 bacteria. Dz1 was a traditional 10-23 DNAzyme, Dz2 was the mutant of Dz1 by addition of the protected nucleotide to each ann of the enzyme, and Dz3 was a mutant of Dz1 at antisense arms of which phosphorothioate modifications were made. Kinetic analysis, bacterial growth, and β-lactamase activity measurement showed that all the three DNAzymes worked efficiently in vitro and in vivo. A 9 hours bacterial growth inhibition test showed that the inhibition rates of TEM-1 bacteria by Dz1, Dz2, and Dz3 were 27%, 50%, and 29%, respectively. In addition, the inhibition rates of TEM-3 bacteria by those three DNAzymes were found io be 49%, 58%, and 45%, respectively. The current findings suggest that DNAzymes may become potential candidates of alternative inhibitors for bacteria drug-resistance.  相似文献
