Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was applied to detect nonvisible internal bruise and spraing symptoms and to get insight on the chemical and anatomical causes of such defects. Cultivar Saturna with internal bruise and cultivar Estima with spraing symptoms were investigated by comparison of different MR images as proton density-, T(1)- and T(2)-weighted images and T(2) maps. In all these types of MR images, it was possible to identify internal bruise and spraing spots in the potatoes, where these phenomena were present. When combining the information in the MR images, the interior of the internal bruise was characterised as being very dry (low signal in the proton-weighted image) with a small amount of highly mobile water in the shell around the bruise (high signal in T(2)-weighted image and high relaxation time in T(2) map). The spraing spots were more diffuse; however, the dry interior and highly mobile water around the spraing dots were somewhat similar to the appearance of internal bruise but resembled more the appearance of human tumour tissue than bruise disorders in, for example, fruits. In conclusion, this study demonstrated that MRI can detect nonvisible internal bruise and spraing symptoms in potatoes, which has not been published before. MRI may, therefore, be an appropriate method for detecting and for studying developmental changes of such disorders and related disorders during postharvest storage in future experiments. 相似文献

Complexes (R3P)2PtF2 were prepared by reaction of the corresponding diiodo precursors with AgF in dichloromethane. The intermediate formation of trans- and cis-(R3P)2Pt(I)F was also observed. All fluoro complexes demonstrate a strong preference for the cis-configuration (R = Ph or Et) unless a bulky phosphine ligand is used (R = i-Pr), in which case the trans complex was observed. The Pt(IV) difluoro compounds (R3P)2Ar2PtF2 were obtained by reacting the Pt(II) diaryl precursors with XeF2. The fluoro ligands are located in the trans-position relative to the aryl groups in the overall octahedral environment. The representative Pt(II) and Pt(IV) difluoro complexes were characterized by X-ray crystallography. All fluoro compounds react rapidly with chlorotrimethylsilane to give the corresponding chloro complexes. The Pt(IV) difluorides are remarkably stable in the C-C reductive elimination reaction, relative to their dichloro analogs which reductively eliminate diaryl within several hours at 45 degrees C in N-methylpyrrolidone. It was found that phosphine dissociation from the octahedral Pt(IV) complex is essential for the reductive elimination reaction to take place, the difluoro complex being kinetically stable even at 60 degrees C. 相似文献

The wet oxidation pretreatment (water, oxygen, elevated temperature, and pressure) of softwood (Picea abies) was investigated for enhancing enzymatic hydrolysis. The pretreatment was preliminarily optimized. Six different combinations
of reaction time, temperature, and pH were applied, and the compositions of solid and liquid fractions were analyzed. The
solid fraction after wet oxidation contained 58–64% cellulose, 2–16% hemicellulose, and 24–30% lignin. The pretreatment series
gave information about the roles of lignin and hemicellulose in the enzymatic hydrolysis. The temperature of the pretreatment,
the residual hemicellulose content of the substrate, and the type of the commercial cellulase preparation used were the most
important factors affecting the enzymatic hydrolysis. The highest sugar yield in a 72-h hydrolysis, 79% of theoretical, was
obtained using a pretreatment of 200°C for 10 min at neutral pH. 相似文献
