In this letter we document the possibility of the existence of a second molecular configuration for nitric acid trihydrates. Density functional theory (DFT) methods have been used for studying the nitric acid trihydrates α and β-NAT conformations, their spectroscopic and thermodynamics properties and dipole moments have been calculated. This study describes the gas–solid phase transition of the NAT and provides two possible pathways for the molecular structure transformation between α and β-NAT.  相似文献

A method of coupling capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) with electrospray ionization-mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) detection has been developed for monitoring an antiepileptic drug, lamotrigine (LTG) in human plasma. The CZE-MS was developed in three stages: (i) CZE separation and ESI-MS detection of LTG and tyramine (TRM, internal standard) were simultaneously optimized by studying the influence of CZE background electrolyte (BGE) pH, BGE ionic strength, and nebulizer pressure of the MS sprayer; (ii) sheath liquid parameters, such as pH, ionic strength, organic modifier content, and flow rate of the sheath liquid, were systematically varied under optimum CZE-MS conditions developed in the first stage; (iii) MS sprayer chamber parameters (drying gas temperature and drying gas flow rate) were varied for the best MS detection of LTG. The developed assay was finally applied for the determination of LTG in plasma samples. The linear range of LTG in plasma sample assay was between 0.1-5.0 microg/mL with a limit of detection as low as 0.05 microg/mL and run time less than 6 min. Finally, the concentration-time profile of LTG in human plasma sample was found to correlate well when CZE-ESI-MS was compared to a more established method of high-performance liquid chromatography with ultraviolet detection.  相似文献

The present work aims to investigate the feasibility of oxalic acid-choline chloride deep eutectic solvent (OA-ChCl DES), which serves as a promising green solvent that utilized in the acidic deep eutectic solvent (DES) hydrolysis. Oxalic acid-choline chloride DES cellulose nanocrystal (OA-ChCl DES CNC) was isolated from the bleached DES treated pulp (BP) through the acidic DES hydrolysis using 1:1 molar ratio of OA-ChCl DES. The functional groups, crystallinity index, morphological structure, particle size, zeta potential, thermal stability and surface chemistry of the OA-ChCl DES CNC were compared with the sulphuric acid cellulose nanocrystal (SA-CNC) that prepared via sulphuric acid hydrolysis. The findings revealed the presence of negatively charged carboxyl groups on OA-ChCl DES CNC surface after the acidic DES hydrolysis. The physicochemical analyses verified that the OA-ChCl DES CNC was in nano-sized range with polydispersity index (PdI) of 0.56, indicating slightly monodispersed nanoparticles. A stable OA-ChCl DES CNC colloidal suspension with zeta potential value of ?52.1?±?5.2 mV was obtained. The OA-ChCl DES CNC outweighed the SA-CNC in term of thermal stability (288 °C) despite having a slightly lower crystallinity index (76.7%). In fact, the OA-ChCl DES CNC with a yield of 55.1% was achieved through the acidic DES hydrolysis, suggesting that the OA-ChCl DES was capable of promoting efficient cleavage of strong hydrogen bonds in BP.

The sorption of hafnium on hydrous titanium oxide (TiO2·1.94 H2O) has been studied in detail. Maximum sorption of hafnium can be achieved from a pH 7 buffer solution containing boric acid and sodium hydroxide using 50 mg of the oxide after 30 minutes shaking. The value ofk d, the rate constant of intraparticle transport for hafnium sorption, from 0.01M hydrochloric and perchloric acid and pH 7 buffer solutions has been found to be 17 mmole·g–1·min–2. The kinetics of hafnium sorption follows Lagergren equation in 0.01M HCl solution only. The values of the overall rate constantK=6.33·10–2 min–1 and of the rate constant for sorptionk 1=6.32·10–2 min–1 and desorptionk 2=2.28·10–5 min–1 have been evaluated using linear regression analysis. The value of correlation factor() is 0.9824. The influence of hafnium concentration on its sorption has been examined from 4.55·10–5 to 9.01·10–4 M from pH 7 buffer solution. The sorption data followed only the Langmuir sorption isotherm. The saturation capacity of 9.52 mmole·g–1 and of a constant related to sorption energy have been estimated to be 2917 dm3·mole–1. Among all the additional anions and cations tested only citrate ions reduce the sorption significantly. Under optimal experimental conditions selected for hafnium sorption, As(III), Sn(V), Co(II), Se(IV) and Eu(III) have shown higher sorption whereas Mn(II), Ag(I) and Sc(III) are sorbed to a lesser extent. It can be concluded that a titanium oxide bed can be used for the preconcentration and removal of hafnium and other metal ions showing higher sorption from their very dilute solutions. The oxide can also be employed for the decontamination of radioactive liquid waste and for pollution abatement studies.  相似文献

The separation of the six pyrethrin esters in a technical pyrethrum extract (Riedel-de-Ha?n, Cresent Chemical Co. Inc. Hauppauge, NY, USA) by micellar electrokinetic chromatography (MEKC) using both sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) and a polymerized surfactant as pseudo-stationary phases has been investigated and optimized. Parameters such as pH, SDS and polymerized sodium N-undecyl sulfate (poly-SUS) concentration, type and concentration of background electrolyte and organic modifier, as well as the acetonitrile/water ratio in the sample were studied to optimize the resolution, efficiency, and analysis time. An optimized separation of the six pyrethrin esters was achieved in 25 min with 25 mM Tris, buffered at pH 9, containing 30 mM SDS, 25% (v/v) acetonitrile, and an equal volume ratio of acetonitrile/water sample matrix at a voltage of 25 kV. The use of 0.5% (w/v) poly-SUS enhanced resolution of the pyrethrin esters and shortened the total analysis time from 25 to 20 min, compared to the SDS mediated separation. The optimized MEKC results are compared to the HPLC separation of these esters and show an improvement in efficiency and total analysis time.  相似文献

Due to increasing concentrations in the atmosphere, carbon dioxide has, in recent times, been targeted for utilisation (Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage, CCUS). In particular, the production of CO from CO2 has been an area of intense interest, particularly since the CO can be utilized in Fischer–Tropsch synthesis. Herein we report that CO2 can also be used as a source of atomic oxygen that is efficiently harvested and used as a waste-free terminal oxidant for the oxidation of alkenes to epoxides. Simultaneously, the process yields CO. Utilization of the atomic oxygen does not only generate a valuable product, but also prevents the recombination of O and CO, thus increasing the yield of CO for possible application in the synthesis of higher-order hydrocarbons.

Selective formation of atomic oxygen to form epoxides in a waste free process is reported. Simultaneously generating carbon monoxide from carbon dioxide for further use.  相似文献

Tyrosine-protein kinase Yes (YES1) belongs to the Tyrosine-protein kinase family and is involved in several biological activities, including cell survival, cell–cell adhesion, cell differentiation, and cytoskeleton remodeling. It is highly expressed in esophageal, lung, and bladder cancers, and thus considered as an attractive drug target for cancer therapy. In this study, we performed a virtual screening of phytoconstituents from the IMPPAT database to identify potential inhibitors of YES1. Initially, the molecules were retrieved on their physicochemical properties following the Lipinski rule of five. Then binding affinities calculation, PAINS filter, ADMET, and PASS analyses followed by an interaction analysis to select safe and clinically better hits. Finally, two compounds, Glabrene and Lupinisoflavone C (LIC), with appreciable affinities and a specific interaction towards the AlphaFold predicted structure of YES1, were identified. Their time-evolution analyses were carried out using an all-atom molecular dynamics (MD) simulation, principal component analysis, and free energy landscapes. Altogether, we propose that Glabrene and LIC can be further explored in clinical settings to develop anticancer therapeutics targeting YES1 kinase.  相似文献

Plate heat exchangers (PHE) are used for a wide range of applications, thus utilizing new and unique heat sources is of crucial importance. R744 has a low critical temperature, which makes its thermophysical properties variation smoother than other supercritical fluids. As a result, it can be used as a reliable hot stream for PHE, particularly at high temperatures. The local design approach was constructed via MATLAB integrated with the NIST database for real gases. Recently produced HFOs (R1234yf, R1234ze(E), R1234ze(Z), and R1233zd(E)) were utilized as cold fluids flowing through three phases: Liquid-phase, two-phase, and gas-phase. A two-step study was performed to examine the following parameters: Heat transfer coefficients, pressure drop, and effectiveness. In the first step, these parameters were analyzed with a variable number of plates to determine a suitable number for the next step. Then, the effects of hot stream pressure and cold stream superheating difference were investigated with variable cold channel mass fluxes. For the first step, the results showed insignificant differences in the investigated parameters for the number of plates higher than 40. Meanwhile, the second step showed that increasing the hot stream pressure from 10 to 12 MPa enhanced the two-phase convection coefficients by 17%, 23%, 75%, and 50% for R1234yf, R1234ze(E), R1234ze(Z), and R1233zd(E), respectively. In contrast, increasing the cold stream superheating temperature difference from 5 K to 20 reduced the two-phase convection coefficients by 14%, 16%, 53%, and 26% for R1234yf, R1234ze(E), R1234ze(Z), and R1233zd(E), respectively. Therefore, the R744 is suitable for PHE as a driving heat source, particularly at higher R744 inlet pressure and low cold stream superheating difference.  相似文献

The first example of the enantioselective methyl C-H activation by an intramolecular ArPdX species and subsequent cyclisation was developed. Palladium catalysts using commercially available chiral diphosphines yield good ee's (up to 93% ee) in the synthesis of 2-methyl indolines from 2-halo N-isopropyl anilides. This approach was also employed for the synthesis of enantioenriched cyclohexyl fused indolines with moderate enantioselectivities.  相似文献
