A mathematical analysis has been carried out to investigate the effect of elasticity of the flexible walls on the peristaltic flow of a power‐law fluid. The heat transfer analysis is further examined. Expressions of stream function, velocity, and temperature distributions are presented in closed form under long wavelength and low Reynolds number approximations. The effects of Hall current and heat transfer on the rotating flow of a second grade fluid past a porous plate with variable suction are examined. The medium considered is porous and suction and external flow velocities vary periodically. The plate is assumed to be at a higher temperature than the fluid. The influences of the Hall parameter and porosity of the medium have been seen and discussed on the velocity and temperature profiles. Moreover, these influences have also been seen on the drag and lateral stress. Finally, the obtained solutions are also compared with the previous studies in the literature and found quite agreement.  相似文献

The dyeing behaviour of gamma irradiated cotton fabric using Reactive Black-5 dye powder has been investigated. The mercerized, bleached and plain weaved cotton fabric was irradiated to different absorbed doses of 100, 200, 300, 400, 500 and 600 Gy using Co-60 gamma irradiator. Dyeing was performed using irradiated and un-irradiated cotton with dye solutions. The dyeing parameters such as temperature of dyeing, time of dyeing and pH of dyeing solutions were optimised. The colour strength values of dyed fabrics were evaluated by comparing irradiated and un-irradiated cotton in CIE Lab system using Spectra flash SF650. Methods suggested by International Standard Organisation (ISO) were employed to study the effect of gamma irradiation on the colourfastness properties of dyed fabric. It is found that gamma irradiated cotton dyed with Reactive Black-5 has not only improved the colour strength but also enhanced the rating of fastness properties.  相似文献

System reliability, especially for serial parallel systems, has attracted much attention in recent years. Redundancy allocation is a technique to increase the reliability of the serial parallel systems. Supplying redundant components depends on some restrictions such as available budget, weight, space, etc. This paper proposes a new model for redundancy allocation problems (RAPs) by considering discount policy. The proposed model attempts to maximize the reliability of a system by gathering various components where there are some limitations on budgeting. We present two models with different assumptions including all unit discount and incremental discount strategies. The resulted formulations are nonlinear integer models and categorized as NP-hard. Therefore, some heuristics and meta-heuristics are designed to solve the resulted models, efficiently.  相似文献

The zonal analysis of industrial furnaces is considered with three-dimensional radiative heat transfer, incorporated with the mathematical zone method. In this method exchange areas are determined by simplified numerical integration in three dimensions for surface-surface, surface-gas and gas–gas zones for absorbing and emitting media. By focusing on new strategies to overcome the drawbacks of evaluating direct exchange areas, it is shown that the zone method is an effective numerical method for modeling three-dimensional thermal performance of gas-filled enclosures. Also the developed method for evaluating of exchange area is presented and compared with other methods in both sides of CPU time and accuracy. The method can decrease about 70% in error of calculation of some exchange areas as compared with the other numerical methods.  相似文献

We present a method for eliminating the temperature dependence of the resonance wavelength in high-Q silicon-based microdisk resonators by using a polymer cladding with a negative thermo-optic coefficient. A novel electrochemical sensor was fabricated by electrodeposition of gold nanoparticles on a poly(L-methionine)(PMT)-modified glassy carbon electrode(GCE) to form a nano-Au/PMT composite-modified GCE(nano-Au/PMT/GCE).Scanning electron microscopy and electrochemical techniques were used to characterize the composite electrode.The modified electrode exhibited considerable electrocatalytic activity towards the oxidation of dopamine(DA) and uric acid(UA) in phosphate buffer solution(pH = 7.00).Differential pulse voltammetry revealed that the electrocatalytic oxidation currents of DA and UA were linearly related to concentration over the range of 5.0 ×10–8 to 10–6 mol/L for DA and 7.0 × 10–8 to 10–6 mol/L for UA.The detection limits were 3.7 × 10–8mol/L for DA and 4.5 × 10–8 mol/L for UA at a signal-to-noise ratio of 3.According to our experimental results,nano-Au/PMT/GCE can be used as a sensitive and selective sensor for simultaneous determination of DA and UA.  相似文献

We report on an electrode for the amperometric determination of lorazepam. A glassy carbon electrode was coated with a molecular imprint made by electropolymerization of ortho-phenylenediamine and filled with multiwalled carbon nanotubes and gold nanoparticles, which enhances the transmission of electrons. The sensor was studied with respect to its response to hexacyanoferrate (III) as a probe and by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry and square wave voltammetry. The linear response range to Lorazepam is from 0.5 nM to 1.0 nM and from 1.0 nM to 10.0 nM, with a detection limit of 0.2 nM (at an S/N of 3). The electrode was successfully applied to determine Lorazepam in spiked human serum.
