The properties of three oxobenzo[f]benzopyrans as new fluorogenic photolabile protecting groups for the carboxylic function of amino acids were studied. Fluorescent amino acid conjugates were efficiently prepared and characterised. Photodeprotection of these compounds was carried out by irradiation at 300, 350 and 419 nm, the most suitable wavelength being 350 nm, on account of short irradiation times and good deprotection yields. 相似文献

Let be a nonorientable m-plane bundle over a CW complex X of dimension m or less. Given a 2-plane bundle over X, we wish to know whether can be embedded as a sub-bundle of . The bundle need not be orientable. When is even-dimensional there is the added complication of twisted coefficients. In that case, we use Postnikov decomposition of certain nonsimple fibrations in order to describe the obstructions for the embedding problem. Nystatin is a polyene antibiotic frequently applied in the treatment of topical fungal infections. In this work, a 7-nitrobenz-2-oxa-1,3-diazole (NBD) hexanoyl amide derivative of nystatin was synthesized and its detailed photophysical characterization is presented. The average conformation of the labelled antibiotic in tetrahydrofuran, ethanol and methanol was determined by intramolecular (tetraene to NBD) fluorescence resonance energy transfer measurements. At variance with the literature [Can. J. Chem. 63 (1985) 77-85], it was concluded that there is no need to invoke a solvent-dependent conformational equilibrium between extended and closed conformers of the antibiotic, because the mean tetraene-to-NBD separating distance was found to remain constant (approximately 18 A) in all the solvents studied. In addition, the large solvent dependence of the fluorescence anisotropy observed for the non-derivatized nystatin, was rationalized on the basis of the prolate ellipsoidal geometry of the molecule. It was concluded that the rod shaped and amphipathic antibiotic remains monomeric in different solvents within the concentration range studied (2-20 microM). 相似文献

A new Monte Carlo program, Win X-ray, is presented that predicts X-ray spectra measured with an energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS) attached to a scanning electron microscope (SEM) operating between 10 and 40 keV. All the underlying equations of the Monte Carlo simulation model are included. By simulating X-ray spectra, it is possible to establish the optimum conditions to perform a specific analysis as well as establish detection limits or explore possible peak overlaps. Examples of simulations are also presented to demonstrate the utility of this new program. Although this article concentrates on the simulation of spectra obtained from what are considered conventional thick samples routinely explored by conventional microanalysis techniques, its real power will be in future refinements to address the analysis of sample classifications that include rough surfaces, fine structures, thin films, and inclined surfaces because many of these can be best characterized by Monte Carlo methods. The first step, however, is to develop, refine, and validate a viable Monte Carlo program for simulating spectra from conventional samples. 相似文献

Studies on the complexation of copper(II) by phenolic acids, as ligand models of humic substances were done by potentiometry. The acids under study were: 3,4-dihydroxyhydrocinnamic acid or hydrocaffeic acid (1), 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetic acid (2) and 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid or protocatechuic acid (3). Acidity constants of the ligands and the formation constants of metal-ligand complexes were evaluated by computer programs. The carboxylic group of the phenolic acids has different pKa1 values, being the dissociation constants intrinsically related with the distance between the function and the aromatic nucleus. The results obtained allow concluding that acidity constants of the catechol moiety of the compounds are similar with pKa2 and pKa3 values between 9.47-9.41 and 11.55-11.70. The complexation properties of the three ligands towards copper(II) ion are quite similar, being the species found not different either in nature or stability. Although the model ligands have some structural differences no significant differences were found in their complexation properties towards copper(II). So, it can be postulated that complexation process is intrinsically related with the presence of a catechol group. 相似文献

Linear sulfur-carbon chains C(n)S (n=1-6) of astronomical interest were examined by means of several theoretical methods. The three smallest compounds of the series were chosen to evaluate the performance of several computational models, including Hartree-Fock theory, density functional theory with the Becke's three parameter exchange functional and the correlation functional of Lee, Yang, and Parr (B3LYP), and electron-correlated methods (second-order Moller-Plesset perturbation method (MP2), configuration interaction method including single and double excitations (CISD), and quadratic configuration interaction method including single and double excitations (QCISD) in combination with a large variety of basis sets. The systematic comparison between the experiment and theory indicates that the B3LYP/6-311G** method can be considered suitable for the study of the electronic structures of the C(n)S compounds. The electronic ground states of the C(n)S molecules alternate between 1Sigma and 3Sigma for odd and even values of n, respectively. The B3LYP/6-311G** wave functions for these electronic ground states were analyzed by means of the atoms in molecules (AIM) and natural bond orbital (NBO) methods. Both approaches suggest that the electronic structures for the singlet and triplet compounds must be considered separately. According to the NBO method, singlet compounds can be properly represented by acetylenic structures with alternating single and triple bonds (S[triple bond]C-C[triple bond]C...). However, triplet compounds are better described by means of double bond-double bond cumulenic structures (S=C=C=C=C...) as a consequence of the average between different alpha and beta electronic densities. AIM delocalization indexes and NBO interactions between localized orbitals also indicate that these structures are strongly pi delocalized. Finally, the different singlet and triplet structures proposed provide a consistent explanation for the geometries, dipole moments, and spin-density values of the C(n)S compounds studied. 相似文献

The current laboratory practices of organic synthesis are labor intensive, impose safety and environmental hazards, and hamper the implementation of artificial intelligence guided drug discovery. Using a combination of reagent design, hardware engineering, and a simple operating system we provide an instrument capable of executing complex organic reactions with prepacked capsules. The machine conducts coupling reactions and delivers the purified products with minimal user involvement. Two desirable reaction classes – the synthesis of saturated N-heterocycles and reductive amination – were implemented, along with multi-step sequences that provide drug-like organic molecules in a fully automated manner. We envision that this system will serve as a console for developers to provide synthetic methods as integrated, user-friendly packages for conducting organic synthesis in a safe and convenient fashion.Using a combination of reagent design, hardware engineering, and a simple operating system we provide an instrument capable of executing complex organic reactions using prepacked capsules with minimal user involvement. 相似文献

Reversible addition–fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) dispersion polymerisation of methyl methacrylate (MMA) is performed in supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO2) with 2-(dodecylthiocarbonothioylthio)-2-methylpropionic acid (DDMAT) present as chain transfer agent (CTA) and surprisingly shows good control over PMMA molecular weight. Kinetic studies of the polymerisation in scCO2 also confirm these data. By contrast, only poor control of MMA polymerisation is obtained in toluene solution, as would be expected for this CTA which is better suited for acrylates. In this regard, we select a range of CTAs and use them to determine the parameters that must be considered for good control in dispersion polymerisation in scCO2. A thorough investigation of the nucleation stage during the dispersion polymerisation reveals an unexpected “in situ two-stage” mechanism that strongly determines how the CTA works. Finally, using a novel computational solvation model, we identify a correlation between polymerisation control and degree of solubility of the CTAs. All of this ultimately gives rise to a simple, elegant and counterintuitive guideline to select the best CTA for RAFT dispersion polymerisation in scCO2.RAFT dispersion polymerisation of methyl methacrylate is performed in scCO2 with 2-(dodecylthiocarbonothioylthio)-2-methylpropionic acid (DDMAT) present as chain transfer agent (CTA) and surprisingly shows good control over PMMA molecular weight. 相似文献
