Thermal behavior of metallodendrimers possessing bis(terpyridinyl)Ru(II) connectivity and different surface functionality

A series of metallodendrimers, assembled by means of bis(terpyridinyl)Ru^(II) connectivity on poly(propylene imine) dendrimer scaffolds, with homogeneous or heterogeneous surfaces, were prepared. Differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analysis were used to determine their thermal behavior, glass‐transition temperatures, and the decomposition kinetics and temperatures; no synergy effects for these properties were observed for the heterogeneously surfaced constructs in contrast to the corresponding homogeneously coated materials, which exhibited different values depending on their surface functionalities. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Control of self‐organized low‐dimensional morphology in poly(styrene‐b‐4vinylpyridine)/polystyrene blend thin films

The surface morphologies of poly(styrene‐b‐4vinylpyridine) (PS‐b‐P4VP) diblock copolymer and homopolystyrene (hPS) binary blend thin films were investigated by atomic force microscopy as a function of total volume fraction of PS (?_PS) in the mixture. It was found that when hPS was added into symmetric PS‐b‐P4VP diblock copolymers, the surface morphology of this diblock copolymer was changed to a certain degree. With ?_PS increasing at first, hPS was solubilized into the corresponding domains of block copolymer and formed cylinders. Moreover, the more solubilized the hPS, the more cylinders exist. However, when the limit was reached, excessive hPS tended to separate from the domains independently instead of solubilizing into the corresponding domains any longer, that is, a macrophase separation occurred. A model describing transitions of these morphologies with an increase in ?_PS is proposed. The effect of composition on the phase morphology of blend films when graphite is used as a substrate is also investigated. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 厚度对非极性聚合物薄膜驻极体电荷储存及电荷动态特性的影响

以Du Pont公司的商用Teflon FEP A型薄膜为例，通过热脉冲技术、等温表面电位衰减测量和开路热刺激放电电流谱分析等实验结果，讨论了经常温和高温电晕充电后样品厚度对薄膜驻极体的沉积电荷密度、薄膜驻极体的内电场、体电导率以及电荷储存稳定性的影响.通过热脉冲技术组合电导率温度曲线的测量，研究了在不同温度条件下样品厚度对沉积电荷层的平均电荷重心移动的影响.结果表明：在充电参数一定的条件下，随着膜厚的降低，储存电荷密度上升，但电荷稳定性有所下降.因此，合理地调控薄膜厚度，可以有效地优化驻极体的电荷储存能 关键词： 厚度 驻极体 电荷储存能力 电荷稳定性     

Synthesis of New 13-O-Acylavermectin Bl Aglycones

Six new 13-O-acylavermectin Bl aglycones(3-8) were synthesized from avermectin B1 aglycone and their bioactivities were evaluated against Spodoptera exigua, Spodoptera eridania, Tetranychus urticae and Aphis fabae.

苯环取代聚乙炔是一类具有简并基态的发光聚合物.利用扩展的SuSchriefferHeeger模型,研究了这类聚合物链中的孤子、极化子等元激发特性.结果表明:由于苯环与聚乙炔主链间的强π电子耦合,苯环取代抑制了聚乙炔主链的二聚化,减小了导带与价带之间的能隙;因此取代聚乙炔中的元激发具有较小的激发能,同时具有更大的相干长度.尽管苯基取代对元激发有很大的影响,但是非取代聚乙炔中元激发的基本物理规律依然成立,表明这些元激发的基本特性不受取代基团的影响 关键词： 孤子 极化子 苯基取代聚乙炔     

Accurate mass measurements of organic compounds by an internal standard method for laser desorption/electron impact fourier transform mass spectrometry

A method for determining accurate relative molecular masses and elemental compositions of several non-volatile and thermally labile organic compounds in the source cell was established. The experimental sequence included laser desorption/electron impact Fourier transform mass spectrometry and direct-mode observation over a narrow mass range. Perfluorotributylamine was used as internal calibrant. Errors were about 1 ppm.     

Multiple doubly periodic solutions of semi-linear damped beam equations

The purpose of this work is to investigate the weakened Ambrosetti–Prodi type multiplicity results for weak doubly periodic solutions of damped beam equations. By using the topological degree theory, the author obtains a result which is similar to the result for damped wave equations in the literature.     

Facile preparation of new unsymmetrical curcumin derivatives by solid-phase synthesis strategy

Seventeen unsymmetrical curcumin derivatives were synthesized in good yield and purity by a facile solid phase synthesis strategy.     

Coverage dependent magnetic properties of Co chain-coated carbon nanotube

Magnetic properties of Co chain-coated carbon nanotube (CNT) were investigated using a first-principles calculation. Binding energy between Co chain and CNT increased with the coverage ratio, and the adsorption of Co chains on CNT enhanced the conductance channel. Total magnetic moment of Co chains coated on CNT increased with the coverage ratio, while the magnetic moment per Co atom decreased due to spin flip of majority spin states in Co atoms. Spin polarization at the Fermi level of the Co chains was calculated to converge to that of bulk fcc Co.
