The proligands of the series tetramethylenebis(N-n-alkylbenzimidazolium bromide) (where n = 3–10) (1–8) as N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) precursors have been prepared by reacting the initially synthesized N-n-alkyl benzimidazole with 1,4-dibromobutane in 2 : 1 M ratio. A reaction of Ag2O with 1–8 resulted in the formation of Ag(I) complexes tetramethylenebis{(N-n-alkylylbenzimidazol-2-ylidene)silver(I)hexafluorophosphate} (9–16), respectively. All the synthesized compounds were characterized by FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, atomic absorption and elemental analysis. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction study on tetramethylenebis{(N-n-octylbenzimidazol-2-ylidene)silver(I)hexafluorophosphate} (14) has revealed that the complex exists as a dinuclear compound. All compounds were assessed for their antiproliferation test on human colorectal cancer cell line (HCT 116). Interestingly, increasing the n-alkyl chain length from n = 3 to 10 of the proligands and their respective complexes showed trends in increased cytotoxicity against human colon cancer cell line. Cytotoxicity data showed that tetramethylene linked bis-benzimidazolium salts and their respective dinuclear Ag(I)–NHC complexes can be useful therapeutic agents against colon cancer. 相似文献

This current article reviews the recent studies carried out over biodegradable polymer nanocomposites that includes preparation, characterization, properties, and applications of nanocomposites based on biodegradable polymers. An orderly introduction of nanocomposites prepared by using various biodegradable aliphatic polyesters and polymers obtained from biomass products has been brought about. A wide range of organic and inorganic nanoparticles was used as additives or fillers to prepare nanocomposites with improved desired properties. This tutorial review is addressed to readers with a background in basic organic chemistry and spectroscopy, but without a specific knowledge of electronic circular dichroism. It describes the fundamental principles, instrumentation, data analysis, and different approaches for interpretation of ECD. KeV atomic particles traversing biological matter are subject to charge exchange and screening effects which dynamically change this particle's effective charge. The understanding of the collision cascade along the track thus requires a detailed knowledge of the interaction dynamics of radiobiologically relevant molecules, such as DNA building blocks or water, not only with ionic but also with neutral species. We have studied collisions of keV H(+), He(+), and C(+) ions and H(0), He(0), and C(0) atoms with the DNA base adenine by means of high resolution time-of-flight spectrometry. For H(0) and H(+) we find qualitatively very similar fragmentation patterns, while for carbon, strong differences are observed when comparing C(0) and C(+) impact. For collisions with He(0) and He(+) projectiles, a pronounced delayed fragmentation channel is observed, which has not been reported before. 相似文献

While attempting to prepare 2,5-dithiacyclopentyl derivatives from N-acyl 5-fluoroindole by reaction with 1,2-ethanedithiol we discovered that, instead of the expected product, annelation occurred to give a tricyclic compound containing a 3,6-dithiaazepine ring. A simple and efficient synthesis of novel pyrimidine-substituted alkanoate, acetohydrazide, and imines is described. The synthesis of novel ethyl 2-(2,6-dimethylpyrimidin-4-yloxy)acetate (EDMPyA) 2 was performed through SN2 O-alkylation of 2,6-dimethyl-4-hydroxypyrimidine 1 with ethyl haloacetate. The compound EDMPyA 2 was subjected to nucleophilic substitution reaction with hydrazine hydrate to afford novel 2-(2,6-dimethylpyrimidin-4-yloxy)acetohydrazide (DMPyAH) 3. This DMPyAH 3 upon condensation with differently substituted carbonyl compounds (aldehydes/ketones) furnished DMPyAH imines (DMPyAH-I) 4a–d. These imines can be used for the preparation of unique β-lactams. The structure elucidation of all the newly synthesized compounds was performed using spectroscopy (FT-IR, 1H and 13C NMR) and elemental analysis (C, H, N). 相似文献

A fast, efficient, and diastereoselective synthesis of novel 3-oxo-4-benzothiazolylpyrazolyl-β-lactams is described. The reaction between 2-aryloxy/alkoxyacetic acid and novel benzothiazolylpyrazole-substituted imines afforded exclusive formation of trans-β-lactams. The scope of the reaction was investigated by varying different groups on substrates (R1, R2, R3, Z). All the novel compounds were characterized using various spectroscopic techniques such as FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, elemental analysis, and mass spectrometry in representative cases. An efficient and operationally simple strategy for the stereoselective synthesis of novel C-3 functionalized 3-sulfonyl-β-lactam heterocycles is described. The C-3 functionalized 3-phenyl/benzylsulfonyl-β-lactams 3/3′, 5/5′ has been synthesized via Michael addition using different Michael acceptors on trans-3-phenyl/benzylsulfonyl-β-lactams 2(a–f) using K2CO3 as a base and acetonitrile/DMF as solvents. The reaction furnished exclusively cis-β-lactam adducts 3(a–r) using sterically less hindered Michael acceptors. Further, the effect of steric bulk and chiralilty of Michael acceptors was explored to achieve target C-3 functionalized β-lactams 3(s-u)/3′(s-u) and 5(a–c)/5′(a–c). The structural and stereochemical analysis of novel β-lactams were carried out using FT-IR, NMR (1H, 13C, 1H-1H COSY, 1H-13C COSY and 13C DEPT-135), elemental analysis (CHNS), mass spectrometry (EIMS and LCMS) in representative cases and single crystal X-ray crystallographic studies (3e). A fused π-helical N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) system was prepared and examined through its diastereoisomerically pure cycloiridiated complexes. The latter display light-green phosphorescence with unusually long lifetimes and circular polarization that depends on both the helical NHC P/M stereochemistry and the iridium Δ/Λ stereochemistry. The synthesis and the molecular and photophysical characterization, together with solid state and solution structure analysis, of a series of europium complexes based on β-diketonate ligands are reported. The Eu(III) complex emission, specifically its photoluminescence quantum yield (PL-QY), can be tuned by changing ligands which finely modifies the environment of the metal ion. Steady-state and time-resolved emission spectroscopy and overall PL-QY measurements are reported and related to geometrical features observed in crystal structures of some selected compounds. Moreover, paramagnetic NMR, based on the analogous complexes with other lanthanides, are use to demonstrate that there is a significant structural reorganization upon dissolution, which justifies the observed differences in the emission properties between solid and solution states. The energy of the triplet levels of the ligands and the occurrence of nonradiative deactivation processes clearly account for the luminescence efficiencies of the complexes in the series. 相似文献
