This paper is about the use of optical emission spectroscopy as a diagnostic tool to determine the gas discharge parameters of a direct current (98% Ar–2% H2) non-thermal microplasma jet, operated at atmospheric pressure. The electrical and optical behaviors were studied to characterize this glow discharge. The microplasma jet was investigated in the normal and abnormal glow regimes, for current ranging from 10 to 130 mA, at ~ 220 V of applied voltage for copper cathode. OH (A 2∑+, ν = 0 → X 2Π, ν′ = 0) rotational bands at 306.357 nm and also the 603.213 nm Ar I line, which is sensitive to van der Waals broadening, were used to determine the gas temperature, which ranges from 550 to 800 K. The electron number densities, ranging from 6.0 × 1014 to 1.4 × 1015 cm? 3, were determined through a careful analysis of the main broadening mechanisms of the Hβ line. From both 603.213 nm and 565.070 nm Ar I line broadenings, it was possible to obtain simultaneously electron number density and temperature (~ 8000 K). Excitation temperatures were also measured from two methods: from two Cu I lines and from Boltzmann-plot of 4p–4s and 5p–4s Ar I transitions. By employing Hα line, the hydrogen atoms' H temperature was estimated (~ 18,000 K) and found to be surprisingly hotter than the excitation temperature. 相似文献

This article reports a comparative study of the energy transfer processes in solution and the solid state from poly(vinyl carbazole; the donor) to dimethylphenyl-terminated poly[(9,9-dioctylfluorenyl-2,7-divinylene-fluorene)-co-alt-{2-methoxy-5-(2-ethylhexyloxy)-1,4-phenylene}] (the acceptor). The results in solutions suggest that a decrease of the donor emission intensity with an increasing acceptor concentration is more closely related to the trivial energy transfer process, indicating that the donor and acceptor chains are not in close contact during the lifetime of the donor excited state. This conclusion was reached using the amplitude-averaged lifetime of the donor, which is practically independent of the acceptor concentration. In the solid state, the polymer blends showed a decrease in the donor emission with an increasing acceptor concentration, and a decrease in the donor lifetime was also observed. Thus, in the solid state, changes in morphology interfere with the nonradiative resonant energy transfer process, but influence on the trivial process cannot be completely neglected. The lifetime does not follow a continuous decrease with the PFO-MEHPV concentration like the emission intensity does. This paper presents a numerical method for solving the two‐dimensional unsteady incompressible Navier–Stokes equations in a vorticity–velocity formulation. The method is applicable for simulating the nonlinear wave interaction in a two‐dimensional boundary layer flow. It is based on combined compact difference schemes of up to 12th order for discretization of the spatial derivatives on equidistant grids and a fourth‐order five‐ to six‐alternating‐stage Runge–Kutta method for temporal integration. The spatial and temporal schemes are optimized together for the first derivative in a downstream direction to achieve a better spectral resolution. In this method, the dispersion and dissipation errors have been minimized to simulate physical waves accurately. At the same time, the schemes can efficiently suppress numerical grid‐mesh oscillations. The results of test calculations on coarse grids are in good agreement with the linear stability theory and comparable with other works. The accuracy and the efficiency of the current code indicate its potential to be extended to three‐dimensional cases in which full boundary layer transition happens. This paper presents a successful application of operations research techniques in guiding the decision making process to achieve a superior operational efficiency in core activities. We focus on a rich vehicle routing problem faced by a Portuguese food distribution company on a daily basis. This problem can be described as a heterogeneous fleet site dependent vehicle routing problem with multiple time windows. We use the adaptative large neighbourhood search framework, which has proven to be effective to solve a variety of different vehicle routing problems. Our plans are compared against those of the company and the impact that the proposed decision support tool may have in terms of cost savings is shown. The algorithm converges quickly giving the planner considerably more time to focus on value-added tasks, rather than manually correct the routing schedule. Moreover, contrarily to the necessary adaptation time of the planner, the tool is quite flexible in following market changes, such as the introduction of new customers or new products. 相似文献
