The dynamics of the excited states on a laser-ablated Mo plume was studied, both in air and in vacuum, by emission spectroscopy along the plume expansion axis. The emission related to ionized atoms occurs in the beginning of the plume expansion, near the metal surface, and is predominantly ultraviolet emission. In the middle of the plasma plume, it takes place the electron transitions between excited states of neutral atoms, and in the end of the plume, the visible emission is to transitions to the ground state of neutral molybdenum atoms. It was possible to determine plume parameters such as plasma expansion velocity of (5.0 ± 0.7) km/s at atmospheric pressure and (4.0 ± 0.7) km/s in vacuum, and the plasma duration that was (160 ± 14) ns at atmospheric pressure and (138 ± 18) ns in vacuum. 相似文献

Renewable energy powered electrochemical water splitting has been recognized as a sustainable and environmentally-friendly way to produce green hydrogen, which is an important vector to decarbonize the transport sector and hard-to-abate industry, able to contribute to achieving global carbon neutrality. For large-scale deployment of water electrolyzers, it is essential to develop efficient and durable electrocatalysts—one of key components determining the electrochemical performance, based on cheap and earth-abundant materials. To this end, transition metal tellurides (TMTs) have recently emerged as a promising alternative to the conventional platinum group metals for both hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER). This review article provides a brief account of the latest development in TMT-based HER and OER catalysts, with a focus on various strategies developed to improve the catalytic performance, such as nanostructure engineering, composition engineering, and heterostructuring/hybridization. Perspectives of future research on TMT-based catalysts are also shortly outlined. 相似文献

A vortex‐assisted liquid–liquid micro‐extraction coupled with high‐performance liquid chromatography, with UV–vis, is proposed to pre‐concentrate methyl methacrylate and to improve separation in biological matrices. The use of 1‐octanol as extracting phase, its volume, the need for a dispersant agent, the agitation conditions and the cooling time before phase separation were evaluated. In optimum conditions, enrichment factors of 20 (±0.5) and enrichment recovery of 99% were obtained. The straightforward association of this extraction process with the HPLC method, previously regulated by the International Organization for Standardization, afforded a detection limit of 122 ng/mL and a quantification limit of 370 ng/mL. The within‐batch precision, relative standard deviation, was 3% for a sample with 1.49 µg/mL and 4% for a sample with 13.4 µg/mL. The results showed a between batch‐precision of 21% for experiments performed on five different days, for a sample with a concentration of 1.10 µg/mL in methyl methacrylate. The synthesis of a β-d-mannopyranoside analog, fully identical to the naturally occurring d-mannopyranose in terms of hydroxyl pattern, and displaying a skew-boat conformation close to a B2,5 boat strongly believed to be adopted by the oxycarbenium transition state during glycosidic bond cleavage of β-mannane by family 26 β-mannanase, is described. The conformationally locked analog has been obtained by tethering the C-2 and C-5 carbon atoms of the sugar ring with a three carbon bridge using RCM methodology. The use of inorganic species as assisting materials in matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) analysis is an alternative approach to avoid interfering matrix ions in the low-mass region of the mass spectra. Reports of the application of inorganic species as matrices in MALDI analysis of small molecules are, however, scarce. Nevertheless, titanium dioxide (TiO(2)) powder has been reported to be a promising matrix medium. In this study we further explore the use of TiO(2) as a matrix for the MALDI analysis of low molecular weight compounds. We present results showing that nanosized TiO(2) anatase and TiO(2) rutile perform better as MALDI matrices than a commercial TiO(2) anatase/rutile mixture. Moreover, when using nanosized TiO(2) anatase as a matrix, high-quality mass spectra can be obtained with strong analyte signals and weak or non-existing matrix interference ions. Furthermore, our results show that the phase type plays an important role in the application of TiO(2) as a MALDI matrix. 相似文献

The effect of a (2,5)B boat conformation on xyloside reactivity has been investigated by studying the hydrolysis and glycosylation of a series of synthetic xyloside analogues based on a 2-oxabicyclo[2.2.2]octane framework, which forces the xylose analogue to adopt a (2,5)B conformation. The locked β-xylosides were found to hydrolyze 100-1200 times faster than methyl β-D-xylopyranoside, whereas the locked α-xylosides hydrolyzed up to 2×10(4) times faster than methyl α-D-xylopyranoside. A significant rate enhancement was also observed for the glycosylation reaction. The high reactivity of these conformers can be related to the imposition of a (2,5)B conformation, which approximates a transition state (TS) boat conformation. In this way, the energy penalty required to go from the chair to the TS conformation is already paid. These results parallel and support the observation that the GH-11 xylanase family force their substrate to adopt a (2,5)B conformation to achieve highly efficient enzymatic glycosidic bond hydrolysis. 相似文献

The aims of this study were to quantify the phenolic content and evaluate the antioxidant potential of extracts from the bark and leaves of C. pyramidalis and S. glandulosum. The total phenolic content (TPC) and total tannin content (TTC) were determined using the Folin-Ciocalteu method, and the total flavonoids content (TFC) was measured via complexation with aluminum chloride. The antioxidant activity was evaluated with DPPH (2.2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) and FIC (ferrous ion chelating) assays. The TPC ranged between 135.55 ± 9.85 and 459.79 ± 11.65 tannic acid equivalents (TAE) in mg/g material (mg TAE/g). The leaves of both species contained high levels of tannins and flavonoids. The crude ethanol extracts (CEE) from the bark of C. pyramidalis showed high antioxidant activity when compared to ascorbic acid and rutin, whereas the CEE from the leaves was more efficient in chelating ferrous ions. C. pyramidalis had very high phenolic content and anti-radical activity, which indicates a need for further studies aimed at the purification and identification of compounds responsible for the antioxidant activity. 相似文献

Sulfadiazine is an antibiotic of the sulfonamide group and is used as a veterinary drug in fish farming. Monitoring it in the tanks is fundamental to control the applied doses and avoid environmental dissemination. Pursuing this goal, we included a novel potentiometric design in a flow-injection assembly. The electrode body was a stainless steel needle veterinary syringe of 0.8-mm inner diameter. A selective membrane of PVC acted as a sensory surface. Its composition, the length of the electrode, and other flow variables were optimized. The best performance was obtained for sensors of 1.5-cm length and a membrane composition of 33% PVC, 66% o-nitrophenyloctyl ether, 1% ion exchanger, and a small amount of a cationic additive. It exhibited Nernstian slopes of 61.0 mV decade(-1) down to 1.0 × 10(-5) mol L(-1), with a limit of detection of 3.1 × 10(-6) mol L(-1) in flowing media. All necessary pH/ionic strength adjustments were performed online by merging the sample plug with a buffer carrier of 4-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1-piperazineethanesulfonic acid, pH 4.9. The sensor exhibited the advantages of a fast response time (less than 15 s), long operational lifetime (60 days), and good selectivity for chloride, nitrite, acetate, tartrate, citrate, and ascorbate. The flow setup was successfully applied to the analysis of aquaculture waters. The analytical results were validated against those obtained with liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry procedures. The sampling rate was about 84 samples per hour and recoveries ranged from 95.9 to 106.9%. 相似文献

A single multiplex PCR assay capable of simultaneously amplifying nine canine‐specific autosomal STR markers (FH3210, FH3241, FH2004, FH2658, FH4012, REN214L11, FH2010, FH2361 and the newly described C38) was developed for individual identification and parentage testing in domestic dogs. In order to increase genotyping efficiency, amplicon sizes were optimized for a 90–350 bp range, with fluorescently labelled primers for use in Applied Biosystems, Inc., platforms. The performance of this new multiplex system was tested in 113 individuals from a case‐study population and 12 random dogs from mixed‐breed origin. Co‐dominant inheritance of STR alleles was investigated in 101 father, mother and son trios. Expected heterozygosity values vary between 0.5648 for REN214L11 and 0.9050 for C38. The high level of genetic diversity observed for most markers provides this multiplex with a very high discriminating power (matching probability=1.63/1010 and matching probability among siblings=4.9/103). Allele sequences and a proposal for standardized nomenclature are also herein presented, aiming at implementing the use of this system in forensic DNA typing and population genetic studies. This approach resulted in an optimized and well‐characterized canine DNA genotyping system that is highly performing and straightforward to integrate and employ routinely. Although this STR multiplex was developed for use and tested in a case‐study population, the Portuguese breed Cão de Gado Transmontano, it proved to be useful for general identification purposes or parentage testing. 相似文献
