Iron nanoparticles of various sizes have been synthesized using the chemical route which involves the preparation of iron bipyridine complexes in presence of different capping agents followed by thermal decomposition at 450°C in inert atmosphere. The bimetallic nanoalloys of Fe with Mg and Pd have also been prepared by following the same route. The resulting nanoparticles have been characterized by EDX-RF, XRD, AFM and 57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy. The appearance of quadrupole doublets in the Mössbauer spectra of Fe nanoparticles indicates the absence of magnetic interaction and variation in parameters is due to the varying particle size. The Mössbauer spectrum of Fe–Mg2 bimetallic nanoalloy shows two doublets indicating the presence of superparamagnetism. The two doublets can be attributed to change in s-electron density of iron resulting from its two neighboring magnesium atoms. Fe–Pd nanoalloy Mössbauer spectrum is characterized by having a superparamagnetic doublet and a ferromagnetic sextet.  相似文献

We present a novel scheme for performing a conditional phase gate between two spin qubits in adjacent semiconductor quantum dots through delocalized single exciton states, formed through the interdot F?rster interaction. We consider two resonant quantum dots, each containing a single excess conduction band electron whose spin embodies the qubit. We demonstrate that both the two-qubit gate and arbitrary single-qubit rotations may be realized to a high fidelity with current semiconductor and laser technology.  相似文献

We performed R-matrix calculations for photoionization cross sections of the two ground state configuration 3s23p5 (2Po3/2,1/2) levels and 12 excited states of Ni XII using relativistic Dirac Atomic R-matrix Codes (DARC) across the photon energy range between the ionizations thresholds of the corresponding states and well above the thresholds of the last level of the Ni XIII target ion. Generally, a good agreement is obtained between our results and the earlier theoretical photoionization cross sections. Moreover, we have used two independent fully relativistic GRASP and FAC codes to calculate fine-structure energy levels, wavelengths, oscillator strengths, transitions rates among the lowest 48 levels belonging to the configuration (3s23p4, 3s3p5, 3p6, 3s23p33d) in Ni XIII. Additionally, radiative lifetimes of all the excited states of Ni XIII are presented. Our results of the atomic structure of Ni XIII show good agreement with other theoretical and experimental results available in the literature. A good agreement is found between our calculated lifetimes and the experimental ones. Our present results are useful for plasma diagnostic of fusion and astrophysical plasmas.  相似文献

We investigate the energy transfer dynamics in a donor-acceptor model by developing a time-local master equation technique based on a variational transformation of the underlying Hamiltonian. The variational transformation allows a minimisation of the Hamiltonian perturbation term dependent on the system parameters, and consequently results in a versatile master equation valid over a range of system-bath coupling strengths, temperatures, and environmental spectral densities. While our formalism reduces to the well-known Redfield, F?rster and polaron forms in the appropriate limits, in general it is not equivalent to perturbing in either the system-environment or donor-acceptor coupling strengths, and hence can provide reliable results between these limits as well. Moreover, we show how to include the effects of both environmental correlations and non-equilibrium preparations within the formalism.  相似文献

A brain tumor (BT) is a condition in which there is growth or uncontrolled development of the brain cells, which usually goes unrecognized or is diagnosed at the later stages. Since the mechanism behind BT is not clear, and the various physiological conditions are difficult to diagnose, the success rate of BT is not very high. This is the central issue faced during drug development and clinical trials with almost all types of neurodegenerative disorders. In the first part of this review, we focus on the concept of brain tumors, their barriers, and the types of delivery possible to target the brain cells. Although various treatment methods are available, they all have side effects or toxic effects. Hence, in the second part, a correlation was made between the use of resveratrol, a potent antioxidant, and its advantages for brain diseases. The relationship between brain disease and the blood–brain barrier, multi-drug resistance, and the use of nanomedicine for treating brain disorders is also mentioned. In short, a hypothetical concept is given with a background investigation into the use of combination therapy with resveratrol as an active ingredient, the possible drug delivery, and its formulation-based approach.  相似文献

Electroflotation is an unconventional separation process owing its name to the bubbles generation method (i.e., electrolysis of the aqueous medium) caused by the hydrogen and hydroxide development. Collecting the colloidal particles in surface water has been a long-term issue all over the world, because of their adverse influence. In the present research, the electroflocculation technique have been use to collect the humus particles throughout the polluted wastewater. The uses of different chemical additives namely, Al2(SO4)3, Al(OH)3, CaCl2, CaO, and Na2SiO3 were also successfully examined and enhanced the electroflocculation technique. Although high negatively surface electrical charge of humus causes difficulties in the conventional flocculation and coagulation technique, it enhances the flocculation process when the electroflocculation techniques have been used. The results of both Jar test and electroflocculation technique are further compared. It can be concluded that the polluted water were fully decontaminated (i.e., all of the suspended colloids through the water were removed) by using the electroflocculation technique. The removal rate after electroflocculation test were 91.8%, 98%, 93.5%, 85.3%, 95.4%, and 94% for neutral, Al2(SO4)3, Al(OH)3, CaCl2, CaO, and Na2SiO3, respectively. While the removal rate after Jar test were 84.8%, 83.79%, 71.44%, 84.83%, 77.09%, and 77.09% for neutral, Al2(SO4)3, Al(OH)3, CaCl2, CaO, and Na2SiO3, respectively.  相似文献

The increase in resistance of microbes against conventional drugs is currently a hot issue, whereas diabetes is another main cause of mortalities encountered throughout the world after cancer and heart attacks. New drug sources in the form of plants are investigated to get effective drugs for the mentioned diseases with minimum side effects. Elaeagnus umbellata Thunb. is a medicinal plant used for the management of stress related disorders like diabetes and other health complications. The active constituents of the chloroform extract derived from E. umbellata berries was isolated by silica gel column chromatography which were identified as morin, phloroglucinol, and 1-hexyl benzene through various spectroscopic techniques (electron ionization mass spectrometry, 1H-NMR, and 13C-NMR spectroscopy). The possible protective effects (antioxidant, antibacterial, and antidiabetic activity) of isolated compounds were evaluated using reported methods. Morin exhibited strong in vitro antiradical potential against DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) and ABTS (2,2′-azinobis-3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) radicals along with prominent antibacterial activities against selected bacterial strains (Escherichia coli, Bacillus cereus, Salmonella typhi, Klebsiella pneumonia, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Proteus mirabilis). Among the isolated compounds the more potent one (morin) was assessed for its in vivo antidiabetic potential in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rat model. The in vivo effects observed were further confirmed in ex vivo experiments where the effect of isolated compound on antioxidant enzyme like glutathione peroxidase (GPx), total content of reduced glutathione (GSH), % DPPH inhibition, and the lipid peroxidation MDA (Malondialdehyde) level in pancreatic tissues homogenates were evaluated. In vivo morin at tested doses (2, 10, 15, 30 and 50 mg/kg body weight) significantly restored the alterations in the levels of fasting blood glucose level and body weight loss along with significant decrease in levels of cholesterol, triglycerides, low density lipoprotein, HbA1c level, and significantly increased the high-density lipoprotein in diabetic rats. Morin also effectively ameliorated the hepatic enzymes, and renal functions like serum creatinine. Morin significantly increased the antioxidant enzyme like GPx activity, GSH content, and % DPPH inhibition activity, while reduced the lipid peroxidation MDA (malondialdehyde) level in pancreatic tissues homogenates, and modification of histopathological changes in diabetic rats. Morin exhibited high antioxidant, antibacterial, and antidiabetic potentials as compared to phloroglucinol and 1-hexyl benzene, that could, therefore, be considered as a promising therapeutic agent to treat diabetes mellitus and bacterial infections.  相似文献
