Re-use of a catalyst is an important task, which is usually achieved by loading it on easily separable supports such as magnetic substrates. However, we demonstrate here the process of easy and fast catalyst separation from a reaction medium by loading it onto an economically feasible and microscopically high surface substrate of filter paper (FP) made up of cellulose microfibers as catalyst support. To achieve the goal, we coated chitosan (CH) on filter paper (CH-FP) to impart a high affinity of the substrate for metal ion absorption. AgNO3 dissolved in water with a 0.1 M concentration was used as the Ag ion carrier solution, and CH-FP strips with known rectangular dimensions were submerged into it for the metal ion absorption. The metal ion-laden CH-FP strips were dip treated with sodium borohydride (NaBH4) aqueous solution to prepare Ag-nanoparticle loaded CH-FP (Ag/CH-FP). X-ray diffraction and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy confirmed the formation of the Ag/CH-FP hybrid. Ag/CH-FP morphology was examined through scanning electron microscopy analysis, which showed the presence of Ag nanoparticles attached to the cellulose microfibers. The prepared Ag/CH-FP was employed as a dip catalyst for the degradation of nitroarene compounds of 2-nitophenol (2-NP) and 4-nitrophenol (4-NP) by NaBH4. Remarkably, the rate constants for 4-NP and 2-NP were 3.9 × 10?3 and 1.7 × 10?3 s?1, respectively. In addition, we discussed the ease of the catalyst retrievability from the reaction mixture and its re-usability.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to explore warm inflation in the background of f(G) theory of gravity using scalar fields for the FRW universe model. We construct the field equations under slow-roll approximations and evaluate the slow-roll parameters, scalar and tensor power spectra and their corresponding spectral indices using viable power-law model. These parameters are evaluated for a constant as well as variable dissipation factor during intermediate and logamediate inflationary epochs. We also find the number of e-folds and tensor- scalar ratio for each case. The graphical behavior of these parameters proves that the isotropic model in f(G) gravity is compatible with observational Planck data.  相似文献

The fission cross section and fission probability of 197Au, induced by (1665 MeV) π-, have been studied using CR-39 track detectors. A 4π-geometry was used to count track statistics. A beam of negative pions of 1665 MeV was produced at AGS of Brookhaven National Laboratory, USA, and allowed to fall normally on the stack. Two detectors from the stack were scanned for fission fragment tracks after etching in 6N NaOH at 70℃. The statistics of fission fragment tracks in both detectors were obtained. It was found that there was a marked asymmetry of registered tracks with respect to the forward and backward hemispheres. This asymmetry could be partly accounted for on the basis of momentum transfer to the struck nucleus. On the basis of counting statistics fission cross section was measured, and fission probability was determined by dividing the fission cross section with the reaction cross section. The fission cross-section and fission probability were compared with the computed values using the cascade-exciton model code CEM95.  相似文献

This article investigates the three-dimensional flow of Powell–Eyring nanofluid with thermophoresis and Brownian motion effects. The energy equation is considered in the presence of thermal radiation. The heat and mass flux conditions are taken into account. Mathematical formulation is carried out through the boundary layer approach. The governing partial differential equations are transformed into the nonlinear ordinary differential equations through suitable variables. The resulting nonlinear ordinary differential equations have been solved for the series solutions. Effects of emerging physical parameters on the temperature and nanoparticles concentration are plotted and discussed. Numerical values of local Nusselt and Sherwood numbers are computed and examined.  相似文献

A series of samples of HoFe1?x Ni x O3 (x = 0.0, 0.1, 0.3) were prepared using the solid-state reaction technique to understand the structural, dielectric and conductivity properties before and after gamma irradiation of accumulated dose of 625 KGy. The X-ray diffraction confirms that all the samples exist in single-phase orthorhombic structure having space group Pbnm. With increasing dopant Ni, the unit cell volume and lattice parameters undergo small change. X-ray analysis show change in the interplanar spacing and full width at half maximum values after gamma irradiation. The Raman spectra of the samples show modifications after gamma irradiation. It can be easily seen that after gamma irradiation intensity, peak width are completely altered by gamma-absorbed dose. Measurement of dielectric loss and dielectric constant at room temperature was performed before and after gamma irradiation in the frequency range of 20 Hz–1 MHz. It is observed that the value of dielectric constant decreases after irradiation. The ac conductivity is estimated from the dielectric constant and loss tangent. Exposure to gamma radiation results in substantial modification in the physical properties of the Ni-doped Ho-based orthoferrites.  相似文献

Powder samples of UHMWPE (GUR 1020) containing 0.1% by wt. vitamin E (??-tocopherol, ??-T) were irradiated at room temperature in air for doses of 30-kGy, 65-kGy or 100-kGy (60Co). After irradiation, they were stored at ?78.5°C (dry ice temperature) for one year and then opened to air at room temperature. Following the decay of the primary alkyl and allyl radicals (at room temperature in air), growth of the carbon-centered polyenyl R1 (?·CH?CH=CH?, m ?? 3), and the oxygen-centered dior tri-enyl R2 (?·OCH?CH=CH? m , m ?? 3) residual radicals were measured for eight weeks. An X-band electron spin resonance (ESR) spectrometer was used for radical measurements. The initial relative radical concentrations (R2/R1) were found to be 10.13, 4.6 and 3.7 for the 65-kGy, 30-kGy and 100-kGy samples, respectively. R1 and R2 were both found to grow significantly in the 65-kGy samples while they grew only slightly in the 30-kGy and 100-kGy samples. In 65-kGy sample, R1 grew faster than R2 and the relative concentration R2/R1 was reduced from 10.13 to 2.9 for the 65-kGy sample while that for the 30-kGy and 100-kGy samples reduced only slightly, from 4.6 to 3.5 and 3.7 to 3.2, respectively. The behavior of the residual radicals can be explained by Raman spectroscopic data which suggest that the 65-kGy samples had a higher percentage of amorphous regions when compared to the 30-kGy or 100-kGy (21.7% compared to 15.7% or 17.9%) and also suggest a lower percentage of inter-phase regions (16.4% compared to 25.6% or 17.5%) and a lower level of structural disorder (0.26% compared to 0.44% or 0.27%).  相似文献

The salt bis benzyl ammonium monohydrogentetraoxoarsenate(V) monohydrate [C6H5CH2NH3 +]2HAsO4 2−·H2O, M = 373.92, Triclinic, P−1. a = 6.514(1), b = 8.910(2), c = 15.061(3) ?, α = 99.26(2), β = 93.93(1), γ = 97.64(1)°, V = 851.5(3), Z = 2, D x  = 1.460, λ (MoKα) = 0.71073 ?, μ = 0.99 mm−1, F(000) = 126, T = 20(2)  °C, final R = 0.673 for 5488 unique reflections. Planes of HAsO4 2− alternate with planes of C6H5CH2NH3 + groups. The structure consists of infinite parallel two-dimensional planes built of mutually connected ions and water molecules by strong O–H···O and N–H···O hydrogen bonding. There are no contacts other than van der Waals interactions between the layers. Differential scanning calorimetry study on bis benzyl ammonium monohydrogentetraoxoarsenate(V) monohydrate was carried out. The infrared of polycrystalline samples of this compound have been recorded at room temperature.  相似文献

Singlet oxygen ((1)O(2)) is an electronic state of molecular oxygen which plays a major role in many chemical and biological photo-oxidation processes. It has a high chemical reactivity which is commonly harnessed for therapeutic issues. Indeed, (1)O(2) is believed to be the major cytotoxic agent in photodynamic therapy. In this treatment of cancer, (1)O(2) is created, among other reactive species, by an indirect transfer of energy from light to molecular oxygen via excitation of a photosensitizer (PS). This PS is believed to be necessary to obtain an efficient (1)O(2) production. In this paper, we demonstrate that production of (1)O(2) is achieved in living cells from PS-free 1270 nm laser excitation of molecular oxygen. The quantity of (1)O(2) produced in this way is sufficient to induce an oxidative stress leading to cell death. Other effects such as thermal stress are discriminated and we conclude that cell death is only due to (1)O(2) creation. This new simplified scheme of (1)O(2) activation can be seen as a breakthrough for phototherapies of malignant diseases and/or as a noninvasive possibility to generate reactive oxygen species in a tightly controlled manner.  相似文献

In recent decades, the use of herbs and plants has been of great interest, as they have been the sources of natural products, commonly named as bioactive compounds. In specific, the natural compounds from the Capparaceae family which has been proved to have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and anti-carcinogenic activities, by several studies. Cleome arabica L. (CA) specie is the most used medicinal plants in Tunisia and elsewhere in North African countries for treatment of various diseases including diabetes, rheumatism, inflammation, cancer, and digestive disorders. The current work was undertaken to estimate the total phenolic, flavonoid and condensed tannin contents, to identify and quantify the polyphenolic compounds, and to evaluate the antioxidant and the anti-inflammatory proprieties of CA fruits extract against formalin induced chronic inflammation in Female Wistar rats. In fact, the antioxidant activity was tested by Diphenyl-1-Picrylhydrazyl free radical scavenging (DPPH), Ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) and Nitric Oxide radical (NO·). Anti-inflammatory effect of fruits extract was examined using formalin (2%) induced paw edema in rats. Molecular docking tools were used to investigate the interaction of some compounds from CA fruits extract with the cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) target protein. Our results showed that, the total phenolic, flavonoid and tannins contents, which were assessed by the Folin-Ciocalteu, Quercetin, and Catechin methods, respectively, were 230.22 mg gallic acid equivalent/g dry weight (mg GAE/g DW), 55.08 mg quercetin equivalent/g dry weight (QE/g DW) and 15.17 mg catechin equivalents/g dry weight (CatE/g DW), respectively. HPLC analysis revealed the presence of five polyphenolic compounds whose catechin was found to be the most abundant compounds. The antioxidant activity of extract was quantified by DPPH, FRAP and NO· tests and IC50 reached the values of 3.346 mg/mL, 2.306 and 0.023 mg/mL, respectively. Cleome fruits ameliorated the histological integrity of the skin and alleviated the disruptions in hematological parameters (WBC, LYM, RBC, and HGB), inflammatory cytokines (IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α), C-reactive protein, and some oxidative stress markers (TBARS (−49%) and AOPP (−42%) levels, SOD (+33%) and GPx (+75%) activities, and GSH (+49%) content) induced by formalin injection. Moreover, the in-silico investigation had shown that CA fruits extract compounds have a stronger interaction with COX-2 active site, more than the reference drug “indomethacin” (two H-bonds). Our research gives pharmacological backing to the healthcare utilization of Cleome plant in the treatment of inflammatory diseases and oxidative harm.  相似文献

The linear properties of magnetosonic waves are studied in nearly degenerate and nearly non-degenerate quantum plasmas composed of electrons, positrons and ions in the presence of spin- effect. Using the fluid equations, a generalized dispersion relation for perpendicular and oblique propagation is derived. It is found that degree of temperature and spin degeneracy modify the dispersive properties of the given modes. The results of analysis are beneficial for understanding the collective phenomena in dense quantum astrophysical plasmas.  相似文献
