By chemically modifying the nucleation burst that generates monodisperse FePt nanocrystals, a mixture of Pt and Fe(x)Pt(1-x) nanoparticles forms during a one-pot reaction that includes a small amount of Cu as a catalyst; size-selective precipitation yields a bi-disperse population of Fe(x)Pt(1-x) nanoparticles, which can assemble into high-quality AB2, AB5, and AB13 superlattice structures.  相似文献

The amplitude modulation of electron-acoustic waves (EAWs) propagating in space plasmas whose constituents are inertial cold electrons, hot nonextensive q-distributed electrons, and stationary ions is presented theoretically. The nonlinear Schrödinger equation (NLSE) which governs the modulational instability of the EAWs is obtained using reductive perturbation method (RPM). The presence of the hot nonextensive q-distributed electrons is shown to influence the modulational instability of the waves. Further, the nondimensional parameter α=ne0/nc0, which is the equilibrium density ratio of the hot to cold electron component, is shown to play a vital role in the formation of both bright and dark solitons.  相似文献

Zinc oxide (ZnO) films have been prepared by thermal oxidation of pre-deposited zinc films on the glass substrate kept at room temperature. These films were surface modified by dipping them into an aqueous solution (0.1 M) of lithium chloride (LiCl) and aluminium chloride (AlCl3) followed by firing at 500°C. Based on X-ray diffraction results it is observed that modification of pure ZnO by lithium and aluminium precursor results a change in the lattice parameters. Li and Al ions appear to enhance the a-axis orientation and c-axis orientation of pure ZnO films, respectively. Field emission scanning electron micrographs of lithium-modified ZnO film indicate the presence of nanoneedles, while nanorods are observed in case of aluminium-modified ZnO film. The electrical resistance measurements of modified ZnO films also show variation in resistance as compared to pure ZnO film. Pure and Al-modified films of ZnO are sensitive to ammonia at room temperature, while Al-modified ZnO film is found to be more sensitive with 99% of response at 250 ppm.  相似文献

In the present work, polycrystalline Zn nanowires are synthesised within polymeric templates by the electrochemical deposition technique. Free-standing Zn nanowires with diameters 100, 200, 400 nm were synthesised on copper substrate acting as cathode, using this technique. The synthesised nanowires were irradiated with 40 MeV C4+ ion beam for various fluencies at Inter University Accelerator Centre, New Delhi, India. The effect of carbon ion beam on the grain size and preferred orientation of crystal planes of Zn nanowires were studied. The Rigaku X-ray diffractometer was used for X-ray diffraction (XRD) spectra of pristine and irradiated Zn nanowires. Post irradiation XRD analysis showed variation in the intensity of peaks, indicating the change in the orientation of crystal planes of the material. The preferred orientation of the crystal lattice planes in the polycrystalline material was found using texture analysis. To quantitatively investigate the degree of preferred orientations, the texture coefficients (TC) were calculated. The variation of TC was used to demonstrate the effect of irradiation on preferred orientation.  相似文献

Pharmacokinetic (PK) evaluation of polyphenolic metabolites over 24 h was conducted in human subjects (n = 13, BMI = 22.7 ± 0.4 kg/m2) after acute mango pulp (MP), vitamin C (VC) or MP + VC test beverage intake and after 14 days of MP beverage intake. Plasma and urine samples were collected at different time intervals and analyzed using targeted and non-targeted mass spectrometry. The maximum concentrations (Cmax) of gallotannin metabolites were significantly increased (p < 0.05) after acute MP beverage intake compared to VC beverage alone. MP + VC beverage non-significantly enhanced the Cmax of gallic acid metabolites compared to MP beverage alone. Pyrogallol (microbial-derived metabolite) derivatives increased (3.6%) after the 14 days of MP beverage intake compared to 24 h acute MP beverage intake (p < 0.05). These results indicate extensive absorption and breakdown of gallotannins to galloyl and other (poly)phenolic metabolites after MP consumption, suggesting modulation and/or acclimation of gut microbiota to daily MP intake.  相似文献

A densitometer system, operating in a non-destructive and non-invasive way, is presented to investigate the density and moisture variation in wood samples of Pinus roxburghii (known as chir pine). The inherent ability of Compton scattering can ascertain quantitative information of electron density of the target material. A well collimated beam of 662?keV gamma rays from 137Cs radioactive source has been used to extract the information of density from interior of sample by recording scattered spectra with NaI(Tl) scintillation detector. An inverse matrix approach for unfolding of observed pulse-height distribution to a true photon spectrum is used, by choosing bin mesh (E1/2) of 0.025 (MeV)1/2, for the measurements of scattered spectra. The regression lines, obtained from data of scattered spectra, provide the density and moisture content of selected wood sample. The adjusted R2 value 0.984 for fitted curve, justifies the linear dependence of scattered intensity upon wood density. Also, Compton scatter measurements results that the technique is less sensitive beyond wood thickness of ~110?mm due to overlying scatter components in the measured spectrum.  相似文献

Cryopreservation of in vitro axillary shoot tips of Crateva nurvala Buch. Ham, an important medicinal tree, was investigated. Axillary buds (c. 1mm in length) excised from 4-week-old in vitro cultures, were pre-cultured on liquid MS medium supplemented with 0.4 M sucrose for 16 h. These were incubated in 2 M glycerol+0.4 M sucrose for 20 min at 25 degree C before being dehydrated with PVS2 solution for 40 min The dehydrated shoot tips were directly immersed in LN. Following cryopreservation and after rapid warming at 40 degree C, shoot tips were quickly washed with MS+1.2 M sucrose solution for 20 min and then plated on top of filter paper placed on MS medium supplemented with 0.1 mg l-1 BAP, kept in darkness for one day followed by placement of shoots directly on the medium and incubation in darkness for a day more, before transfer of cultures to light. Average survival in terms of normal shoot formation after 4 weeks of plating was 56.6 percent. The rescued shoot tips were bulked up by subsequent nodal cultures and when put onto 0.02 mg l-1 NAA showed a rhizogenic response. Thus, in vitro-grown shoot tips of Crateva nurvala were successfully cryopreserved following the optimization of the PVS2-vitrification protocol.  相似文献

Biological N2 fixation is achieved under ambient conditions by enzymatic catalysis. The enzyme nitrogenase has been studied extensively, but the N2 chemical reduction step is, by far, not rate limiting and hard to examine. A new method was developed that allows studying the reduction transition state within the enzyme's complex kinetic cascade by means of the 15N kinetic isotope effect on the reaction's second-order rate constant, V/K. A value of 1.7% +/- 0.2% was measured.  相似文献
