It has been experimentally demonstrated that the Green's function between two points could be recovered using the cross-correlation function of the ambient noise measured at these two points. High resolution magic angle spinning (HRMAS) has become an extremely versatile tool to study heterogeneous systems. HRMAS relies on magic angle spinning of the sample to average out to zero magnetic susceptibility differences in the sample and to obtain resonance linewidths approaching those of liquid state NMR. Shimming such samples therefore becomes an important issue. By analyzing the different sources of magnetic field perturbations present in a sample under MAS conditions, we propose a simple protocol to obtain optimum shim settings in HRMAS. In the case of aqueous samples, we show that the lock level cannot be used as a reliable indicator of the quality of the shims at high spinning speeds. This effect is explained by the presence of temperature gradients imparted by the sample rotation.  相似文献

We consider the cosmological symmetry reduction of the Plebanski action as a toy-model to explore, in this simple framework, some issues related to loop quantum gravity and spin-foam models. We make the classical analysis of the model and perform both path integral and canonical quantizations. As for the full theory, the reduced model admits two disjoint types of classical solutions: topological and gravitational ones. The quantization mixes these two solutions, which prevents the model from being equivalent to standard quantum cosmology. Furthermore, the topological solution dominates at the classical limit. We also study the effect of an Immirzi parameter in the model.  相似文献

This study aimed to evaluate the effects of ultrasound on Lactobacillus fermentum BT 8633 in parent and subsequent passages based on their growth and isoflavone bioconversion activities in biotin-supplemented soymilk. The treated cells were also assessed for impact of ultrasound on probiotic properties. The growth of ultrasonicated parent cells increased (P < 0.05) by 3.23-9.14% compared to that of the control during fermentation in biotin-soymilk. This was also associated with enhanced intracellular and extracellular (8.4-17.0% and 16.7-49.2%, respectively; P < 0.05) β-glucosidase specific activity, leading to increased bioconversion of isoflavones glucosides to aglycones during fermentation in biotin-soymilk compared to that of the control (P < 0.05). Such traits may be credited to the reversible permeabilized membrane of ultrasonicated parent cells that have facilitated the transport of molecules across the membrane. The growing characteristics of first, second and third passage of treated cells in biotin-soymilk were similar (P > 0.05) to that of the control, where their growth, enzyme and isoflavone bioconversion activities (P > 0.05) were comparable. This may be attributed to the temporary permeabilization in the membrane of treated cells. Ultrasound affected probiotic properties of parent L. fermentum, by reducing tolerance ability towards acid (pH 2) and bile; lowering inhibitory activities against selected pathogens and reducing adhesion ability compared to that of the control (P < 0.05). The first, second and third passage of treated cells did not exhibit such traits, with the exception of their bile tolerance ability which was inherited to the first passage (P < 0.05). Our results suggested that ultrasound could be used to increase bioactivity of biotin-soymilk via fermentation by probiotic L. fermentum FTDC 8633 for the development of functional food.  相似文献

Using first‐principles methodologies, the equilibrium structures and the relative stability of CO2@[Znq+Im] (where q=0, 1, 2; Im=imidazole) complexes are studied to understand the nature of the interactions between the CO2 and Znq+–imidazole entities. These complexes are considered as prototype models mimicking the interactions of CO2 with these subunits of zeolitic imidazolate frameworks or Zn enzymes. These computations are performed using both ab initio calculations and density functional theory. Dispersion effects accounting for long‐range interactions are considered. Solvent (water) effects were also considered using a polarizable continuum model approach. Natural bond orbital, charge, frontier orbital and vibrational analyses clearly reveal the occurrence of charge transfer through covalent and noncovalent interactions. Moreover, it is found that CO2 can adsorb through more favorable π‐type stacking as well as σ‐type hydrogen‐bonding interactions. The inter‐monomer interaction potentials show a significant anisotropy that might induce CO2 orientation and site‐selectivity effects in porous materials and in active sites of Zn enzymes. Hence, this study provides valuable information about how CO2 adsorption takes place at the microscopic level within zeolitic imidazolate frameworks and biomolecules. These findings might help in understanding the role of such complexes in chemistry, biology and material science for further development of new materials and industrial applications.  相似文献

Electrochemical lithium intercalation in thin films of CeO2-TiO2 and WO3, prepared by the sol-gel technique was investigated with cyclic voltammetry and spectroelectrochemical techniques in propylene carbonate solutions. A solid state system having the configuration WO3/Ormolyte/CeO2-TiO2 has been assembled. The solid electrolyte, an organically modified electrolyte (ormolyte), was prepared with different [O]/[Li] ratios. The transmittance variation of this system during a potentiostatic step from –0.7 V to 0.8 V was about 35% at 550 nm.  相似文献

A proficient etiquette for the stereoselective synthesis of novel 3-methylthio-β-lactams and their Lewis acid mediated functionalization is described. Treatment of 2-methylthioethanoic acid and appropriate imines in the Staudinger reaction leads to the stereocontrolled synthesis of novel trans-3-methylthio-β-lactams in excellent yields. cis-3-Chloro-3-methylthio-β-lactams, obtained from stereoselective chlorination of trans-3-methylthio-β-lactams using N-chlorosuccinimide (NCS) and AIBN, were subjected to Lewis acid (TiCl4 or SnCl4) mediated functionalization using various active aromatic, heterocyclic and aliphatic compounds (nucleophiles). This reaction provides an easy access to novel, stereoselective cis-3-monosubstituted-3-methylthio-β-lactams, which further undergo smooth desulfurization with Raney-nickel to afford C-3 cis- and trans-monosubstituted-β-lactams. The cis or trans configuration of the hydrogen/chloro/nucleophile substituent at C-3 was assigned with respect to C4–H.  相似文献

Isolation of Indonesian cananga oil using multi-cycle pressure drop process   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
New process, instantaneous controlled pressure drop (DIC) was applied on Cananga odorata dry flowers with the aim to isolate essential oil. DIC is based on high temperature, short time heating followed by an abrupt pressure drop into a vacuum. A part of volatile compounds is carried away from flowers in the form of vapor (DIC direct oil) that evolves adiabatically during the pressure drop (proper isolation process) and the other part remains in the DIC-treated flowers (DIC residual oil). In the present paper, the effect of DIC cycle number (1-9) and heating time (4.3-15.7 min) on the availability of oil compounds was investigated at three levels of steam pressure (0.28, 0.4 and 0.6 MPa). The availability was defined as the amount of a compound in direct or residual oil divided by the amount of this compound in the reference oil extracted from non-treated flowers by chloroform during 2h. The total availability and yield of volatiles in the direct oil increased with pressure and cycle number. At a higher pressure, the effect of heating time was insignificant. The amount of oxygenated monoterpenes and other light oxygenated compounds (i.e. predominantly exogenous compounds) in the residual flowers was lower than in the direct oil and this amount decreased with cycle number. On the other hand, the availability of oxygenated sesquiterpenes and other heavy oxygenated compounds (i.e. predominantly endogenous compounds) in residual flowers exhibited a maximum for about five cycles and their quantity at this point was three times as much as in the direct oil. The total availability of each compound at 0.6 MPa was higher than one. The rapid DIC process (0.6 MPa, 8 cycles, 6 min) gave better results than steam distillation (16 h) concerning direct oil yield (2.8%dm versus 2.5%dm) and content of oxygenated compounds (72.5% versus 61.7%).  相似文献
