Infrared, Raman and surface‐enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) spectra of 3‐(1‐phenylpropan‐2‐ylamino)propanenitrile (fenproporex) have been recorded. Density functional theory (DFT) with the B3LYP functional was used for optimizations of ground state geometries and simulation of Raman and SERS vibrational spectra of this molecule. Bands of the vibrational spectra were assigned in detail. The comparison of SERS spectra obtained by using colloidal silver and gold nanoparticles with the corresponding Raman spectrum reveals enhancement and shifts in bands, suggesting a possible partial charge‐transfer mechanism in the SERS effect. In this work, we present an extension of the forward–reverse representation introduced by Bayer and Schoenmakers (Annals of Applied Probability, 24(5):1994–2032, 2014) to the context of stochastic reaction networks (SRNs). We apply this stochastic representation to the computation of efficient approximations of expected values of functionals of SRN bridges, that is, SRNs conditional on their values in the extremes of given time intervals. We then employ this SRN bridge-generation technique to the statistical inference problem of approximating reaction propensities based on discretely observed data. To this end, we introduce a two-phase iterative inference method in which, during phase I, we solve a set of deterministic optimization problems where the SRNs are replaced by their reaction-rate ordinary differential equations approximation; then, during phase II, we apply the Monte Carlo version of the expectation-maximization algorithm to the phase I output. By selecting a set of overdispersed seeds as initial points in phase I, the output of parallel runs from our two-phase method is a cluster of approximate maximum likelihood estimates. RealTimeBattle is an environment in which robots controlled by programs fight each other. Programs control the simulated robots using low-level messages (e.g., turn radar, accelerate). Unlike other tools like Robocode, each of these robots can be developed using different programming languages. Our purpose is to generate, without human programming or other intervention, a robot that is highly competitive in RealTimeBattle. To that end, we implemented an Evolutionary Computation technique: Genetic Programming. The robot controllers created in the course of the experiments exhibit several different and effective combat strategies such as avoidance, sniping, encircling and shooting. To further improve their performance, we propose a function-set that includes short-term memory mechanisms, which allowed us to evolve a robot that is superior to all of the rivals used for its training. The robot was also tested in a bout with the winner of the previous “RealTimeBattle Championship”, which it won. Finally, our robot was tested in a multi-robot battle arena, with five simultaneous opponents, and obtained the best results among the contenders. 相似文献

Due to their interactions with C-type lectin receptors (CLRs), glycans from the helminth Schistosoma mansoni represent promising leads for treatment of autoimmune diseases, allergies or cancer. We chemo-enzymatically synthesized nine O-glycans based on the two predominant O-glycan cores observed in the infectious stages of schistosomiasis, the mucin core 2 and the S. mansoni core. The O-glycans were fucosylated next to a selection of N-glycans directly on a microarray slide using a recombinant fucosyltransferase and GDP-fucose or GDP-6-azidofucose as donor. Binding assays with fluorescently labelled human CLRs DC-SIGN, DC-SIGNR and MGL revealed the novel O-glycan O8 as the best ligand for MGL from our panel. Significant binding to DC-SIGN was also found for azido-fucosylated glycans. Contrasting binding specificities were observed between the monovalent carbohydrate recognition domain (CRD) and the tetravalent extracellular domain (ECD) of DC-SIGNR. 相似文献

Helicenes consist of several fused rings twisted around an axis, forming a cylindrical helix, with π-delocalized electrons in the non-planar rings. Induced magnetic fields dissecting the orbital contributions of [6]-, [7]-, and [14]helicene are discussed. Computations show a deshielding cone produced by the π-electrons along the helical axis. Unexpectedly, the response of the core electrons produces a shielding cone, which is cumulative and sensitive to the curvature of the systems owing to the overlap of the other ring responses. A warning is provided regarding the evaluation of the delocalization in curved systems in which the x- and y-components of the induced magnetic field become relevant. 相似文献

This work describes the synthesis of nitrogen-doped carbon nanodots (CNDs) synthesized from ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) as a precursor and their application as luminescent agents with a dual-mode theranostic role as near-infrared (NIR) triggered imaging and photodynamic therapy agents. Interestingly, these fluorescent CNDs are more rapidly and selectively internalized by tumor cells and exhibit very limited cytotoxicity until remotely activated with a NIR illumination source. These CNDs are excellent candidates for phototheranostic purposes, for example, simultaneous imaging and therapy can be carried out on cancer cells by using their luminescent properties and the in situ generation of reactive oxidative species (ROS) upon excitation in the NIR range. In the presence of CNDs, NIR remote activation induces the in vitro killing of U251MG cells. Through the use of flow imaging cytometry, we have been able to successfully map and quantify the different types of cell deaths induced by the presence of intracellular superoxide anions ( . O2−) and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) ROS generated in situ upon NIR irradiation. 相似文献
