The vacuum ultraviolet spectroscopy of Pr3+ doped CaAl4O7, LaMgAl11O19 and SrLaAlO4 is reported. It appears that whenever the aluminate host lattice is excited directly, mainly exciton and 4f2–4f2 [3P0] Pr3+ emission are observed. When the excitation energy is lower, Pr3+ ions are excited selectively and 4f5d–4f2 emission dominates. These observations can be explained by assuming that energy transfer from the host lattice to the Pr3+ ion takes place preferentially via an intermediate exciton state with an energy too low to reach the energetic Pr3+ 4f5d excited states. 相似文献

This paper presents a method for the evaluation of the capacitance and the charge distribution of a dielectric coated metallic parallelepiped and a dielectric coated metallic hollow cylinder with the top and bottom cover plates using the method of moments (MoM) based on the pulse basis function and the point matching. Boundary conditions for the potential on the conductor surfaces and continuity of the normal component of the displacement density at the dielectric-free space interface is used to generate two integral equations. Two sets of simultaneous equations are formed from the two integral equations using the MoM. The total charge on the conductor surface is found from the solution for the set of simultaneous equations. The validity of the analysis has been justified by comparing the data on the capacitance available in the literature for metallic cube and hollow cylinder with top and bottom cover plates with the data on capacitance, computed by the present method for similar structures considering a very low dielectric constant as well as a very thin dielectric coating. 相似文献

We report a quantitative investigation of the magnetic field-temperature phase diagram by taking into account a simple phenomenological model arising out of the interplay of kinetic arrest and thermodynamic transitions in a magnetic glass Pr0.5Ca0.5Mn0.975Al0.025O3, through magnetization measurements. Such studies are necessary as kinetic arrest plays an important role in the formation of “magnetic glasses”, which has been observed in systems undergoing first order magnetic phase transitions. It has been shown that disorder in a system results in the formation kinetic arrest (H K ,T K ) band, like supercooling (H *,T *) and superheating (H **,T **) band. Quantitative proofs are given to show that (H K ,T K ) band is anticorrelated with (H *,T *) and (H **,T **) bands, while the later two are correlated among themselves. Analysis of time dependence of magnetization at different temperatures is carried out to establish the fact that the kinetic arrested state is different from the supercooled state. 相似文献

F≥89 yields the partial cross-section data which is comparable to the data obtained from the cone length distribution. The
present result on the partial cross-section is significantly higher than those expected from the abrasion-ablation model of
Wilson, Townsed and Badavi (1987).

A bag at temperature (T) with pressureB(T)=B(0)[1?(T/T c )4] is shown to be consistent with recent lattice data on the π and the ρ mesons. The limiting temperature,T l , of the pion bag from the Bekenstein entropy bound is lower than that of other mesons. This agrees with the thermal distribution of π,K and the ρ in heavy ion collisions, which (unlike proton-nucleus or pp data) show a marked difference inT of pion and other mesons in the mid-rapidity region. 相似文献
