Quantifying dynamic and rheological properties of suspensions of soft biological particles such as vesicles, capsules, and red blood cells (RBCs) is fundamentally important in computational biology and biomedical engineering. In this review, recent studies on dynamic and rheological behavior of soft biological cell suspensions by computer simulations are presented, considering both unbounded and confined shear flow. Furthermore, the hemodynamic and hemorheological characteristics of RBCs in diseases such as malaria and sickle cell anemia are highlighted.  相似文献

New macrocyclic complexes have been prepared by reacting diethylenetriamine, benzil and a metal ion [cobalt(II), nickel(II) and copper(II)] in a 2:2:1 ratio in MeOH. The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, spectroscopic data (u.v., i.r. and e.p.r.) magnetic susceptibility and conductivity measurements and are probably covalent. The metal ions are paramagnetic in a free spin state and appear to possess a slightly distorted octahedral geometry. A cyclic voltametric study on the copper complex indicates a reversible redox couple (CuIICuI,E = –0.48 V) in DMSO, which means that the macrocycle is capable of stabilizing the CuIICuI process.  相似文献

Using the Martin-Siggia-Rose method, we study propagation of acoustic waves in strongly heterogeneous media which are characterized by a broad distribution of the elastic constants. Gaussian-white distributed elastic constants, as well as those with long-range correlations with nondecaying power-law correlation functions, are considered. The study is motivated in part by a recent discovery that the elastic moduli of rock at large length scales may be characterized by long-range power-law correlation functions. Depending on the disorder, the renormalization group (RG) flows exhibit a transition to localized regime in any dimension. We have numerically checked the RG results using the transfer-matrix method and direct numerical simulations for one- and two-dimensional systems, respectively.  相似文献

The novel bidentate N,S-donor anionic ligands [PhNCSIndz]?, [PhNCSImz]?, [PhNCSPzMe3]?, and [EtNCSPz]?, where Indz?=?indazole, Imz?=?imidazole, PzMe3?=?3,4,5-trimethylpyrazole, and Pz?=?pyrazole, were synthesized and used to prepare Cu(II) complexes of general formula [Cu(N^S)2]. The ligands were synthesized via direct addition of phenylisothiocyanate or ethylisothiocyanate into THF suspensions of the corresponding sodium-pyrazolate salts. All of the synthesized compounds, including the ligands and the complexes, were characterized by physico-chemical and spectroscopic methods, and crystal structures of [Cu(EtNCSPz)2] and [Cu(PhNCSPzMe2)2] were determined by X-ray diffraction analysis, showing a trans-square planar geometry for [Cu(EtNCSPz)2] and a distorted tetrahedral geometry for [Cu(PhNCSPzMe2)2].  相似文献

Crossed one‐pot reaction of mixed cyclic β‐dicarbonyl with various aldehydes in the presence of cyano gen bromide and triethylamine leads to the selective and efficient formation of crossed new unsymmetri cal spiro dihydrofurans at room temperature. The products were obtained in good to excellent yields. Structure elucidation was carried out by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, FT‐IR spectroscopy, Mass analyses and X‐ray crystallography technique.
