The increasing intensity of global competition has led organizations to utilize various types of performance measurement tools for improving the quality of their products and services. Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a methodology for evaluating and measuring the relative efficiencies of a set of decision making units (DMUs) that use multiple inputs to produce multiple outputs. All the data in the conventional DEA with input and/or output ratios assumes the form of crisp numbers. However, the observed values of data in real-world problems are sometimes expressed as interval ratios. In this paper, we propose two new models: general and multiplicative non-parametric ratio models for DEA problems with interval data. The contributions of this paper are fourfold: (1) we consider input and output data expressed as interval ratios in DEA; (2) we address the gap in DEA literature for problems not suitable or difficult to model with crisp values; (3) we propose two new DEA models for evaluating the relative efficiencies of DMUs with interval ratios, and (4) we present a case study involving 20 banks with three interval ratios to demonstrate the applicability and efficacy of the proposed models where the traditional indicators are mostly financial ratios.  相似文献

Within this study nonlinear reduced-order modelling for hyperelastic material is applied for the boundary value problem on the micro-scale which arises in the context of computational homogenisation. This involves the Proper Orthogonal Decomposition and the Discrete Empirical Interpolation Method for the nonlinear term. In this paper, we introduce a certain class of linear positive operators via a generating function, which includes the non-tensor MKZ operators and their non-trivial extension. In investigating the approximation properties, we prove a new Korovkin type approximation theorem by using appropriate test functions. We compute the rate of convergence of these operators by means of the modulus of continuity and the elements of modified Lipschitz class functions. Furthermore, we give functional partial differential equations for this class. Using the corresponding equations, we calculate the first few moments of the non-tensor MKZ operators and investigate their approximation properties. Finally, we state the multivariate versions of the results and obtain the convergence properties of the multivariate Meyer–König and Zeller operators.  相似文献

The objectives of this paper are twofold. Firstly, we formulate a system of partial differential equations that models the contamination of groundwater due to migration of dissolved contaminants through unsaturated to saturated zone. A closed form solution using the singular perturbation techniques for the flow and solute transport equations in the unsaturated zone is obtained. Indeed, the solution can be used as a tool to verify the accuracy of numerical models of water flow and solute transport. The second part of this paper, deals with how the water level in a water reserve drops due to pumping water out of a well that is some distance away.  相似文献

This article investigates the stabilization and control problems for a general active fault‐tolerant control system (AFTCS) in a stochastic framework. The novelty of the research lies in utilizing uncertain nonhomogeneous Markovian structures to take account for the imperfect fault detection and diagnosis (FDD) algorithms of the AFTCS. The underlying AFTCS is supposed to be modeled by two random processes of Markov type; one characterizing the system fault process and the other describing the FDD process. It is assumed that the FDD algorithm is imperfect and provides inaccurate Markovian parameters for the FDD process. Specifically, it provides uncertain transition rates (TRs); the TRs that lie in an interval without any particular structures. This framework is more consistent with real‐world applications to accommodate different types of faults. It is more general than the previously developed AFTCSs because of eliminating the need for an accurate estimation of the fault process. To solve the stabilizability and the controller design problems of this AFTCS, the whole system is viewed as an uncertain nonhomogeneous Markovian jump linear system (NHMJLS) with time‐varying and uncertain specifications. Based on the multiple and stochastic Lyapunov function for the NHMJLS, first a sufficient condition is obtained to analyze the system stabilizability and then, the controller gains are synthesized. Unlike the previous fault‐tolerant controllers, the proposed robust controller only needs to access the FDD process, besides it is easily obtainable through the existing optimization techniques. In this article, a partially delay‐dependent controller is designed to analyze the guaranteed performance analysis of a class of uncertain discrete‐time systems with time‐varying delays. By constructing suitable Lyapunov–Krasovskii Functional (LKF), sufficient conditions are derived to ensure the system to be robustly stochastically stable in mean square sense by using Wirtinger‐based inequality and convex reciprocal lemma. The proper cost function is chosen to guarantee an adequate level of performance. The derived conditions are expressed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) which can be easily solved by LMI Toolbox in MATLAB.
