A new solid-phase extraction (SPE) matrix with high affinity for the neurotoxin domoic acid (DA) was designed and tested. A computational modelling study led to the selection of 2-(trifluoromethyl)acrylic acid (TFMAA) as a functional monomer capable of imparting affinity towards domoic acid. Polymeric adsorbents containing TFMAA were synthesised and tested in high ionic strength solutions such as urine and seawater. The TFMAA-based polymers demonstrated excellent performance in solid-phase extraction of domoic acid, retaining the toxin while salts and other interfering compounds such as aspartic and glutamic acids were removed by washing and selective elution. It was shown that the TFMAA-based polymer provided the level of purification of domoic acid from urine and seawater acceptable for its quantification by high performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) without any additional pre-concentration and purification steps.  相似文献

A tetra-azido calix[4]arene derivative was allowed to react with ethynyl tetra- O-benzyl- C-galactoside in the presence of CuI and i-Pr 2EtN in three different ionic liquids, that is, [C 8dabco][N(CN) 2], [C 8dabco][Br], and Ammoeng 110. Reactions were performed at 80 degrees C by thermal and MW dielectric heating. In all cases, multiple cycloadditions took place to give a triazole-linked tetra- C-galactosyl-calix[4]arene in up to 90% yield. The [C 8dabco][N(CN) 2] ionic liquid was also used to perform the multiclick reactions with propargyl O-lactoside and S-sialoside.  相似文献

Successive parameterizations of the GROMOS force field have been used successfully to simulate biomolecular systems over a long period of time. The continuing expansion of computational power with time makes it possible to compute ever more properties for an increasing variety of molecular systems with greater precision. This has led to recurrent parameterizations of the GROMOS force field all aimed at achieving better agreement with experimental data. Here we report the results of the latest, extensive reparameterization of the GROMOS force field. In contrast to the parameterization of other biomolecular force fields, this parameterization of the GROMOS force field is based primarily on reproducing the free enthalpies of hydration and apolar solvation for a range of compounds. This approach was chosen because the relative free enthalpy of solvation between polar and apolar environments is a key property in many biomolecular processes of interest, such as protein folding, biomolecular association, membrane formation, and transport over membranes. The newest parameter sets, 53A5 and 53A6, were optimized by first fitting to reproduce the thermodynamic properties of pure liquids of a range of small polar molecules and the solvation free enthalpies of amino acid analogs in cyclohexane (53A5). The partial charges were then adjusted to reproduce the hydration free enthalpies in water (53A6). Both parameter sets are fully documented, and the differences between these and previous parameter sets are discussed.  相似文献

The compositions of the essential oils isolated from the aerial parts of tree Mediterranean populations of Laurus nobilis L. collected during the flowering phase on Tunisia, Algeria and France, were studied by GC and GC-MS. The analysis has allowed identifying 54 components. The main components were 1,8-cineole, alpha-terpinyl acetate (10-18.6%), methyl eugenol (10-22.1%), sabinene (1.2-8%), eugenol (1.2-11.7%) alpha-pinene (tr-4.5%) and beta-pinene (0.4-4.2%). The monoterpene fraction was dominant in all the oils analysed and consisted mainly of oxygenated monoterpenes. The oils from the tree populations studied showed a clear chemical polymorphism. The principal component and the hierarchical cluster analyses separated the Laurus nobilis leaf essential oils into three groups.  相似文献

The first diastereospecific and enantioselective epoxidation of trans-2-aroyl-3-arylacrylonitriles by means of the commercially available diaryl L-prolinol/tert-butyl hydroperoxide system has been developed. These diversely functionalized epoxides were obtained in excellent yield (up to 99%), complete diastereoselectivity for the trans-isomer, and good enantioselectivity (up to 84% ee). Highly enantioenriched epoxides can be easily obtained after a single crystallization (ee > 90%).  相似文献

The topical anti-inflammatory activity of essential oil of Pistacia lentiscus L. was studied using carrageenan induced rat paw edema and cotton pellet induced granuloma. The effect on serum tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) in rats inserted with cotton pellet was also investigated. On topical application, the oil exhibited a significant decrease in paw edema. The oil also inhibited cotton pellet-induced granuloma, and reduced serum TNF-alpha and IL-6. It can be concluded that the essential oil of Pistacia lentiscus reduces leukocyte migration to the damaged tissue and exhibits anti-inflammatory activity.  相似文献

The electrochemical behavior of different size gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) was investigated. AuNPs with 2, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 50 nm diameters were immobilized onto a screen printed carbon electrode surface by physical adsorption. The impedimetric response was measured for different diameter AuNPs at a fixed value of their surface area, at the same content of gold (Au) and at the same concentration. In a further experiment, the impedimetric response toward AuNP concentration was measured for each diameter. Impedimetric results were compared with results obtained for the detection of Au by stripping voltammetry. Additionally, variability of active surface area and roughness of different electrodes before and after immobilization of AuNPs were carefully evaluated by means of cyclic voltammetry and laser scanning microscopy. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) is a sensitive technique capable of differentiating the signal generated by AuNPs of different sizes, thus providing useful information for the employment of AuNPs in electrochemical biosensors.  相似文献

Electrochemical applications of graphene are of great interest to many researchers as they can potentially lead to crucial technological advancements in fabrication of electrochemical devices for energy production and storage, and highly sensitive sensors. There are many routes towards fabrication of bulk quantities of chemically modified graphenes (CMG) for applications such as electrode materials. Each of them yields different graphene materials with different functionalities and structural defects. Here, we compare the electrochemical properties of five different chemically modified graphenes: graphite oxide, graphene oxide, thermally reduced graphene oxide, chemically reduced graphene oxide, and electrochemically reduced graphene oxide. We characterized these materials using transmission electron microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, high-resolution X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and cyclic voltammetry, which allowed us to correlate the electrochemical properties with the structural and chemical features of the CMGs. We found that thermally reduced graphene oxide offers the most favorable electrochemical performance among the different materials studied. Our findings have a profound impact for the applications of chemically modified graphenes in electrochemical devices.  相似文献

The first example of meso-aziridine desymmetrization with selenium nucleophiles is reported. The reaction, promoted by VAPOL-hydrogen phosphate using (phenylseleno)trimethylsilane as the nucleophile, proves to be very general and highly enantioselective (84-99% ee).  相似文献
