Thermodegradative investigations of two classes of multi-block copolymers containing poly(D,L-lactic-glycolic acid) (PLGA) and either poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) or poly(ϵ-caprolactone) diol-terminated (PCDT) segments were performed. In particular, the influence of the type and length of the segments as well as of the molar ratio between the D,L-lactic acid (LA) and glycolic acid (GA) residues was investigated at 180°C in air by viscometry, FT-IR analysis and isothermal thermogravimetry. The thermal oxidative degradation of these materials is largely affected by the LA/GA ratio, a higher LA content generally imparting higher stability. The FT-IR analysis suggests that, depending on the composition of the PLGA segments, degradative processes are triggered which can lead to a preferential degradation of the blocks.  相似文献

In this paper we set up a method called overlap decoherence correction (ODC) to take into account the quantum decoherence effect in a surface hopping framework. While keeping the standard surface hopping approach based on independent trajectories, our method allows to account for quantum decoherence by evaluating the overlap between frozen Gaussian wavepackets, the time evolution of which is obtained in an approximate way. The ODC scheme mainly depends on the parameter σ, which is the Gaussian width of the wavepackets. The performance of the ODC method is tested versus full quantum calculations on three model systems, and by comparison with full multiple spawning (FMS) results for the S(1)→S(0) decay in the azobenzene molecule.  相似文献

In the drug discovery process, accurate methods of computing the affinity of small molecules with a biological target are strongly needed. This is particularly true for molecular docking and virtual screening methods, which use approximated scoring functions and struggle in estimating binding energies in correlation with experimental values. Among the various methods, MM‐PBSA and MM‐GBSA are emerging as useful and effective approaches. Although these methods are typically applied to large collections of equilibrated structures of protein‐ligand complexes sampled during molecular dynamics in water, the possibility to reliably estimate ligand affinity using a single energy‐minimized structure and implicit solvation models has not been explored in sufficient detail. Herein, we thoroughly investigate this hypothesis by comparing different methods for the generation of protein‐ligand complexes and diverse methods for free energy prediction for their ability to correlate with experimental values. The methods were tested on a series of structurally diverse inhibitors of Plasmodium falciparum DHFR with known binding mode and measured affinities. The results showed that correlations between MM‐PBSA or MM‐GBSA binding free energies with experimental affinities were in most cases excellent. Importantly, we found that correlations obtained with the use of a single protein‐ligand minimized structure and with implicit solvation models were similar to those obtained after averaging over multiple MD snapshots with explicit water molecules, with consequent save of computing time without loss of accuracy. When applied to a virtual screening experiment, such an approach proved to discriminate between true binders and decoy molecules and yielded significantly better enrichment curves. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In the series of polymeric spin‐crossover compounds Fe(X‐py)2[Ag(CN)2)]2 (py=pyridine, X=H, 3‐Cl, 3‐methyl, 4‐methyl, 3,4‐dimethyl), magnetic and calorimetric measurements have revealed that the conversion from the high‐spin (HS) to the low‐spin (LS) state occurs by two‐step transitions for three out of five members of the family (X=H, 4‐methyl, and X=3,4‐dimethyl). The two other compounds (X=3‐Cl and 3‐methyl) show respectively an incomplete spin transition and no transition at all, the latter remaining in the HS state in the whole temperature range. The spin‐crossover behaviour of the compound undergoing two‐step transitions is well described by a thermodynamic model that considers both steps. Calculations with this model show low cooperativity in this type of systems. Reflectivity and photomagnetic experiments reveal that all of the compounds except that with X=3‐methyl undergo light‐induced excited spin state trapping (LIESST) at low temperatures. Isothermal HS‐to‐LS relaxation curves at different temperatures support the low‐cooperativity character by following an exponential decay law, although in the thermally activated regime and for aX=H and X=3,4‐dimethyl the behaviour is well described by a double exponential function in accordance with the two‐step thermal spin transition. The thermodynamic parameters determined from this isothermal analysis were used for simulation of thermal relaxation curves, which nicely reproduce the experimental data.  相似文献

HTHRGC was found essential for optimizing representative preparation of high molecular weight samples and enabling fingerprinting of heavy fractions of crude oils and associated paraffinic deposits in production pipelines. Laboratory experiments aimed at simulating the process of paraffin deposition could also be easily evaluated. A comparative investigation of the performance of cold on-column and SPI (PTV type) injectors, in conjunction with high temperature capillary columns, for analysis of high molecular weight fractions, was also conducted during the course of this work.  相似文献

The two isomeric 3-methyl-4-furoxancarbaldehydes ( 2a ) and 4-methyl-3-furoxancarbaldehyde ( 2b ) have been prepared. Discussion of their structures, thermal equilibration and kinetic of thermal conversion from the 3-methyl to the 4-methyl isomer are also reported. Treatment of the functionalized Schiff base ligands with boronic esters 1a, 1b, 1c and 1d with palladium (II) acetate in toluene gave the polynuclear cyclometallated complexes 2a, 2b, 2c and 2d, respectively, as air-stable solids, with the ligand as a terdentate [C,N,O] moiety after deprotonation of the -OH group. Reaction of 1j with palladium (II) acetate in toluene gave the dinuclear cyclometallated complex 5j. Reaction of the cyclometallated complexes with triphenylphosphine gave the mononuclear species 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d and 6j with cleavage of the polynuclear structure. Treatment of 2c with the diphosphine Ph2PC5H4FeC5H4PPh2 (dppf) in 1:2 molar ratio gave the dinuclear cyclometallated complex 4c as an air-stable solid.Deprotection of the boronic ester can be easily achieved; thus, by stirring the cyclometallated complex 3a in a mixture of acetone/water, 3e is obtained in good yield. Reaction of the tetrameric complex 2a with cis-1,2-cyclopentanediol in chloroform gave complex 2c after a transesterification reaction. Under similar conditions complexes 3a and 3d behaved similarly: with cis-1,2-cyclopentanediol, pinacol or diethanolamine complexes 3c, 3b, 3g and 3f, were obtained. The pinacol derivatives 3b and 3g experiment the Petasis reaction with glyoxylic acid and morpholine in dichloromethane to give complexes 3h, and 3i, respectively.  相似文献

A simple and sensitive method for the analysis of sterols, tocopherols and triterpenic dialcohols from the unsaponifiable fraction from oil samples in a single analytical run using liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry was developed. With this method, the compounds could be detected directly after dissolving the unsaponifiable fraction in acetonitrile without necessity of time-consuming sample pre-treatment or derivatization. Separation of the analytes was carried out at room temperature, by using a C18 column (5 μm i.d. 3.0 mm × 250 mm) with a linear gradient of acetonitrile/water (0.01% acetic acid) at a flow rate of 1.5 mL/min. The full scan mass spectra of the investigated compounds were measured by an ion trap mass spectrometer equipped with an APCI ion source. The optimized methodology was suitable for the identification of 23 compounds belonging to different families present in olive oil and other kinds of oils, as well as for the quantification of 15 analytes (vs. their commercial standards).  相似文献

Five novel metabolites, acremines H-N, have been isolated from malt extract-peptone-glucose agar cultures of a strain of Acremonium byssoides. Their structures and stereochemistry were elucidated using a combination of 13C and 1H homo and heteronuclear 2D NMR experiments. Acremines H-N inhibited the germination of sporangia of Plasmopara viticola.  相似文献

Thermal stability of bovine α-lactalbumin in buffer and dilute aqueous solutions of erythritol, xylitol, sorbitol, inositol and glucose was evaluated by fluorescence spectroscopy and circular dichroism. Results show that at the selected conditions, the transition is reversible and is well described by a two-state model. At low concentration the cosolutes do not show a structure stabilizing effect, and some of them even destabilize the protein. At higher concentration, all of them stabilize the native protein conformation; however, the extent of stabilization is lower than the effect shown with other proteins, presumably due to the lactalbumin incomplete unfolding.  相似文献
