Many researches have been devoted to rechargeable power generators that can store (but also release) energy. This availability is ensured through (e. g.) the oxygen evolution reaction (OER). However, (i) large values of the overpotentials and (ii) a progressive detriment of the anode (graphite) electrode limit the ultimate device. In view of enhancing the electrode performances, graphite was protected by following different strategies, which oblige to follow precise preparation protocols. Here, we prove that a thin layer of free-base porphyrin molecules is able to protect the underneath graphite electrode from detriment even if many (about 100) electrochemical cycles are performed. 相似文献

Single-atom nanozymes (SAzymes) are promising in next-generation nanozymes, nevertheless, how to rationally modulate the microenvironment of SAzymes with controllable multi-enzyme properties is still challenging. Herein, we systematically investigate the relationship between atomic configuration and multi-enzymatic performances. The constructed MnSA−N3-coordinated SAzymes (MnSA−N3−C) exhibits much more remarkable oxidase-, peroxidase-, and glutathione oxidase-like activities than that of MnSA−N4−C. Based on experimental and theoretical results, these multi-enzyme-like behaviors are highly dependent on the coordination number of single atomic Mn sites by local charge polarization. As a consequence, a series of colorimetric biosensing platforms based on MnSA−N3−C SAzymes is successfully built for specific recognition of biological molecules. These findings provide atomic-level insight into the microenvironment of nanozymes, promoting rational design of other demanding biocatalysts. 相似文献

The ubiquitous presence of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in aqueous environments has aroused societal concern. Nonetheless, effective sensing technologies for continuous monitoring of PFAS within water distribution infrastructures currently do not exist. Herein, we describe a ratiometric sensing approach to selectively detect aqueous perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) at concentrations of μg ⋅ L−1. Our method relies on the excitonic transport in a highly fluorinated poly(p-phenylene ethynylene) to amplify a ratiometric emission signal modulated by an embedded fluorinated squaraine dye. The electronic coupling between the polymer and dye occurs through overlap of π-orbitals and is designed such that energy transfer is dominated by an electron-exchange (Dexter) mechanism. Exposure to aqueous solutions of PFAS perturbs the orbital interactions between the squaraine dye and the polymer backbone, thereby diminishing the efficiency of the energy transfer and producing a “polymer-ON/dye-OFF” response. These polymer/dye combinations were evaluated in spin-coated films and polymer nanoparticles and were able to selectively detect PFAS at concentrations of ca. 150 ppb and ca. 50 ppb, respectively. A glucose biosensor with enzyme immobilised by sol–gel technology was constructed and evaluated. The glucose biosensor reported is based on encapsulated GOX within a sol–gel glass, prepared with 3-aminopropyltriethoxy silane, 2-(3,4-epoxycyclohexyl)-ethyltrimetoxy silane and HCl. A flow system incorporating the amperometric biosensor constructed was developed for the determination of glucose in the 1×10−4–5×10−3 mol l−1 range with a precision of 1.5%. The results obtained for the analysis of electrolytic solution for iv administration and human serum samples showed good agreement between the proposed method and the reference procedure, with relative error <5%. 相似文献

High-density polyethylene/modified bentonite clay/polar compatibilizer nanocomposites were prepared through the melt intercalation process. The clay was organophilizated using different percentages of quaternary ammonium salt 100, 125, and 150 % based cation exchange capacity of the clay. The nanocomposites were prepared in a counter-rotating twin-screw extruder and then specimens were injection molded. For the evaluation of flammability of the test system was used for burning in the horizontal position according to the norm (Underwriters Laboratories, UL94HB) and to the method of cone calorimeter. The thermal behavior of nanocomposites was evaluated by thermogravimetry and X-ray diffraction techniques, and transmission electron microscopy were used to characterize the morphology and analyze the degree of expansion of the clays prepared and the degree of exfoliation of nanocomposites. It was observed that the percentage of ammonium salt and the compatibilizer polar influence on the final properties of the systems and consequently improving the thermal stability and reducing the flammability of the matrix. 相似文献

In support of a deeper understanding of the chemistry of cyanoacetylene--a known constituent of planetary atmospheres and interstellar space--theoretical and experimental studies address the chemical mechanism of dimerization and trimerization, and provide high-resolution rotational spectra of two of the trimeric products, 1,2,3- and 1,2,4-tricyanobenzene. Analysis of the rotational spectra is particularly challenging because of quadrupolar coupling from three (14)N nuclei. The laboratory rotational spectra provide the basis for future searches for these polar aromatic compounds in interstellar space by radio astronomy. 相似文献
