Triacylglycerols (TAGs) provide a challenge for mass spectrometry (MS) analysis because of their complexity. In particular, for dietary, nutritional and metabolic purposes, the positional placement of fatty acids on the glycerol backbone of TAGs is a crucial aspect. To solve this problem, we have investigated the TAGs' fragmentation patterns using an ion trap mass spectrometer. A series of pure regioisomeric pairs of TAGs (POP/PPO, POO/OPO and OSO/SOO) were cationized by Ag+ after their separation by non‐aqueous reversed‐phase liquid chromatography (NARP‐LC) before MS to improve MS sensitivity. Electrospray ionization–MS (ESI‐MS) conditions were optimized in order to produce characteristic [M + Ag + AgNO3]+ ions from each TAG, which were then fragmented to produce MS/MS spectra and then fragmented further to produce up to MS5 spectra. The observation of ions produced by LC‐MS5 of on‐line Ag+‐cationized TAG provided unambiguous information on the fatty acid distribution on the glycerol backbone. These strategies of MS to MS5 experiments were applied to identify components and to determine the regiospecificity of TAG within a complex mixture of lipids in natural oils. This paper reports a new, simple, rapid and economical method for routine determination of 24 amino acids and biogenic amines in grapes and wine. No sample clean-up is required and total run time including column re-equilibration is less than 40min. Following automated in-loop automated pre-column derivatisation with an o-phthaldialdehyde, N-acetyl-l-cysteine reagent, compounds were separated on a 3mm×25cm C(18) column using a binary mobile phase. The method was validated in the range 0.25-10mg/l; repeatability was less than 3% RSD and the intermediate precision ranged from 2 to 7% RSD. The method was shown to be linear by the 'lack of fit' test and the accuracy was between 97 and 101%. The LLOQ varied between 10μg/l for aspartic and glutamic acids, ethanolamine and GABA, and 100μg/l for tyrosine, phenylalanine, putrescine and cadaverine. The method was applied to grapes, white wine, red wine, honey and three species of physalis fruit. Grapes and physalis fruit were crushed, sieved, centrifuged and diluted 1/20 and 1/100, respectively, for analysis; wines and honeys were simply diluted 10-fold. It was shown using this method that the amino acid content of grapes was strongly correlated with berry volume, moderately correlated with sugar concentration and inversely correlated with total acidity. 相似文献

We show experimentally and analytically that for single-valued, isotropic, homogeneous, randomly rough surfaces consisting of bumps randomly protruding over a continuous background, superhydrophobicity is related to the power spectral density of the surface height, which can be derived from microscopy measurements. More precisely, superhydrophobicity correlates with the third moment of the power spectral density, which is directly related to the notion of Wenzel roughness (i.e., the ratio between the real area of the surface and its projected area). In addition, we explain why randomly rough surfaces with identical root-mean-square roughness values may behave differently with respect to water repellence and why roughness components with wavelength larger than 10 μm are not likely to be of importance or, stated otherwise, why superhydrophobicity often requires a contribution from submicrometer-scale components such as nanoparticles. The analysis developed here also shows that the simple thermodynamic arguments relating superhydrophobicity to an increase in the sample area are valid for this type of surface, and we hope that it will help researchers to fabricate efficient superhydrophobic surfaces based on the rational design of their power spectral density. 相似文献

Task specific ionic liquids and onium salts have been used as soluble supports for peptide synthesis. These new supports combine easy monitoring, high loading capacities, large scale preparation, and homogeneous kinetics characteristics while keeping advantages of solid-phase synthesis including easy purification and workup. The effect of four ionic liquids on the porous texture of silica aerogels synthesized from mixed tetramethoxysilane and methyltrimethoxysilane
and dried by the CO2 supercritical method, was studied. Two of these ionic liquids were composed of BF4
− anions while the other two included Cl− anions. The synthesis of gels from ionic liquids did not require another acidic catalyst for silica hydrolysis, nor a basic
catalyst for silica condensation. These aerogels were compared with traditional aerogels made according to a double step catalysis,
which first involved hydrolysis with HCl followed by condensation with pH 9 Tris HCl buffer. Gel mass analysis and thermogravimetric
data showed that, when the initial molar of ionic liquid to Si was 1.58, only ~2% (by mass) of the initial ionic liquids consisting
of BF4
− anions and ~10% (by mass) of ionic liquids containing Cl− anions, remained in the aerogels after supercritical drying. Moreover, X-ray diffraction confirmed that in ionic liquids
based on BF4

The new oxy-chloro-sulfide (Mn1−xPbx)Pb10+ySb12−yS26−yCl4+yO (x ∈ [0.2-0.3]; y ∈ [0.3-1.6]) was synthesized by dry way at 500-600 °C. A single crystal ∼Mn0.7Pb11.0Sb11.3S25.3Cl4.7O indicates a monoclinic symmetry, space group C2/m, with a = 37.480(8), b = 4.1178(8), c = 18.167(4) Å, β = 106.37(3)°, V = 2690.2(9) Å3, Z = 2. Its crystal structure was determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction, with a final R = 5.11%. Modular analysis of the crystal structure reveals a “waffle” architecture, where complex rods with lozenge section delimitate an internal channel filled by a single chain of (Mn0.7Pb0.3)Cl6 octahedra connected by opposite edges. Minimal inter-chain distances are close to 18 Å. The rod wall, two-atom thick, presents, in alternation with S atoms, Pb or (Pb,Sb) cations with prismatic coordination in the internal atom layer, while the external atom layer is constituted exclusively by Sb cations with dissymmetric square pyramidal coordination. A (Pb,Sb)2S2 fragment connects two successive rods along (2 0 1) to form a waffle-type palissadic layer. The unique O position, half filled, presents the same environment than the isolated O positions in the oxy-sulfide Pb14Sb30S54O5, or oxy-chloro-sulfides Pb18Sb20S46Cl2O and (Cu,Ag)2Pb21Sb23S55ClO. This compound belongs to a pseudo-homologous series of chalcogenides with waffle structure, ordered according to the size of their lozenge shape channel. Such a complex senary compound of the oxy-chloro-sulfide type illustrates the structural competition between three cations, on one hand, and, on the other hand, three anions. This compound is of special interest regarding the 1D distribution of magnetic Mn2+ atoms at the ∼2 nm scale. 相似文献
