We consider a reaction–diffusion system with a full matrix of diffusion coefficients satisfying a balance law on a bounded domain with no-flux boundary conditions. We demonstrate that global solutions exist for polynomial reaction terms provided some conditions on the diffusion coefficients are satisfied. Chromatographic investigation of the aerial parts of the Rhazya stricta (Apocynaceae) resulted in the isolation of two new monoterpene indole alkaloids, 6-nor-antirhine-N1-methyl (1) and razyamide (2), along with six known compounds, eburenine (3), epi-rhazyaminine (4), rhazizine (5), 20-epi-sitsirikine (6), antirhine (7), and 16-epi-stemmadenine-N-oxide (8). The chemical structures were established by various spectroscopic experiments. Compounds 1–8 exhibited cytotoxic effects against three cancer cells with IC50 values ranging between 5.1 ± 0.10 and 93.2 ± 9.73 µM against MCF-7; 5.1 ± 0.28 and 290.2 ± 7.50 µM against HepG2, and 3.1 ± 0.17 and 55.7 ± 4.29 µM against HeLa cells. Compound 2 showed the most potent cytotoxic effect against all cancer cell lines (MCF-7, HepG2 and HeLa with IC50 values = 5.1 ± 0.10, 5.1 ± 0.28, and 3.1 ± 0.17 µM, respectively). Furthermore, compound 2 revealed a significant increase in the apoptotic cell population of MCF-7, HepG2, and HeLa cells, with 31.4 ± 0.2%, 29.2 ± 0.5%, and 34.9 ± 0.6%, respectively. Compound 2 decreased the percentage of the phagocytic pathway on HepG2 cells by 15.0 ± 0.1%. These findings can explain the antiproliferative effect of compound 2.  相似文献

Advanced innovations for combating variants of aggressive breast cancer and overcoming drug resistance are desired. In cancer treatment, ZnO nanoparticles (NPs) have the capacity to specifically and compellingly activate apoptosis of cancer cells. There is also a pressing need to develop innovative anti-cancer therapeutics, and recent research suggests that ZnO nanoparticles hold great potential. Here, the in vitro chemical effectiveness of ZnO NPs has been tested. Zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles were synthesized using Citrullus colocynthis (L.) Schrad by green methods approach. The generated ZnO was observed to have a hexagonal wurtzite crystal arrangement. The generated nanomaterials were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), UV-visible spectroscopy. The crystallinity of ZnO was reported to be in the range 50–60 nm. The NPs morphology showed a strong absorbance at 374 nm with an estimated gap band of 3.20 eV to 3.32 eV. Microscopy analysis proved the morphology and distribution of the generated nanoparticles to be around 50 nm, with the elemental studies showing the elemental composition of ZnO and further confirming the purity of ZnO NPs. The cytotoxic effect of ZnO NPs was evaluated against wild-type and doxorubicin-resistant MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cell lines. The results showed the ability of ZnO NPs to inhibit the prefoliation of MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 prefoliation through the induction of apoptosis without significant differences in both wild-type and resistance to doxorubicin.  相似文献

Cationic surfactants, such as cetylpyridinium bromide (CPB), sensitize the color reaction of Nb(V) with 1-(2-benzothiazolylazo)-2-hydroxy-3-naphthoic acid (Ia), 5-(benzothiazolylazo)2,5-naphthalenediol (Ib), 5-(2-benzothiazolylazo)8-hydroxyquinoline (Ic) and 4-(2- benzothiazolylazo)2, -biphenyldiol (Id) reagents. The formation of a ternary complex of stoichiometric ratio 1:2:2 (Nb-R-CPB) is responsible for the observed enhancement in the molar absorptivity and the Sandell sensitivity of the formed complex, when a surfactant is present. The ternary complex exhibits absorption maxima at 649, 692, 661 and 612 nm, (=3.35×104, 3.59×104, 4.46×104 and 2.79×104 l mol−1 cm−1) on using reagent Ia, Ib, Ic, and Id, respectively. Beer’s law is obeyed between 0.05 and 2.50 μg ml−1, while applying the Ringbom method for more accurate results is in the range from 0.20 to 2.30 μg ml−1. Conditional formation constants in the presence and absence of CPB for niobium complexes have been calculated. On the basis of a detailed spectrophotometric study, the nature of the chromophoric reagent–surfactant interaction and the peculiar features of the sensitization by CPB are discussed.  相似文献

The oxidation kinetics of the 2-aminomethylpyridineCrIII complex with periodate in aqueous solution were studied and found to obey the rate law:Rate = [CrIII]T [IO4 -]{k1K2 + k2 K1 K3/[H+]}/{1+K1/[H+] + k2[IO4 -]+K1K3/[H+][IO4 -]} where K 1, K 2 and K 3 are the deprotonation of [Cr(L)2(H2O)]3+ and pre-equilibrium formation constants for [(L)2—Cr—OIO3]2+ and [(L)2—Cr—OH—OIO3]+ precursor complexes respectively. An inner-sphere mechanism was proposed. The effect of Cu2+ on the oxidation rate was studied over the (1.0–9.0) × 10−5 mol dm−3 range. The reaction rate was found to be inversely proportional to the Cu2+ concentration over the range studied. The ring-opening metathesis copolymerizations of deltacyclene, substituted deltacyclene, and norbornene was achieved using RuCl3, ReCl5, and molybdenum alkylidene catalysts. The reaction conditions employed are similar to those used previously in the syntheses of homopolymers. The low conversion copolymerization of deltacyclene and norbornene showed that deltacyclene is more reactive than norbornene by a factor of 2.4. The characterization and physical properties of these copolymers were determined using NMR, GPC, Tg, and viscosity measurements. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献
