The charge transfer complexes formed between some anilides and pi-electron acceptors [picric acid, 2,4-dinitrophenol, 3,5-dinitrobenzoic aicd, 3,5-dinitrosalicylic acid and m-dinitrobenzene] are synthesized and characterized. Spectral characteristics and stability of the complexes are investigated and discussed in terms of donor molecular structure, pi-acceptor electron affinity, and solvent polarity. It is deduced that the complexes are mainly of the n-pi* and pi-pi* type where the ground state wave function can be described primarily by the non-bonding structure. The optimum conditions favouring the formation of the coloured complexes are extensively studied for the microdetermina-tion of anilides derivatives in pharmaceutical drugs using nitrobenzene as acceptor; the molecular structure was found to be 1:1 (D:A). Beer's law is obeyed up to 23.0, 18.60 and 16.0 micrograms ml-1 for p(OH), p-(OCH3), and p-N(CH3)2, respectively.  相似文献

V2O5/Al2O3 solids of varying compositions were prepared, dried at 100°C and calcined in air at 400–1000°C. The solid-solid interactions between the mixed oxides were investigated by means of DTA, TG and XRD techniques.The results revealed that ammonium metavanadate and aluminium hydroxide decomposed at 260 and 290°C, respectively, to yield an ammonium vanadium intermediate compound and Al2O3 as solids. The intermediate compound readily decomposed at 360°C to give V2O5.Solid V2O5 generally catalyses the crystallization of Al2O3 to an extent proportional to its amount present. The solid-solid interactions between Al2O3 and V2O3 to produce AlV2O4 and AlVO4 took place at 750 and 900°C. These solids decomposed entirely at 1000°C, producing V2O5 and alpha-corundum. The pure Al2O3 samples employed existed as amorphous solids even when heated in air at 750°C, but in the presence of V2O5 (7–18 wt.%) they crystallized to thetaalumina at 600°C. The pure solid alumina crystallized at 1000°C to a mixture of theta and kappa-alumina. In the presence of V2O5, alpha-corundum together with kappa and theta phases was obtained on heating at 900°C.  相似文献

New selective and sensitive Spectrophotometric methods for quinone determination are described. Quinone samples are treated with either methanolic solution of rhodanine, fluorene in ammoniacal media or aqueous semicarbazide hydrochloride solution. Semicarbazide is the most sensitive reagent for the determination of 1,4-benzoquinone, 1,4-naphthoquinone and 2-methyl-1,4-naphthoquinone. Quinones substituted with electron withdrawing groups are better determined using rhodanine. The average recovery is 99.1%, 98.7% and 99.2% using rhodanine, fluorene and semicarbazide as reagents, respectively.  相似文献

Four kinds of polythiophenes have been doped with CH3SO3H in CHCl3 under air,oxygen,and nitrogen. In the doping of two types of poly(3-hexylthiophene)s,P3HexTh(Zn/Ni)and P3HexTh(Fe)with different contents of a head-to-tail unit,the p-doping occurs at a similar rate.The reaction between poly(3-dodecylthiophene),P3DodTh,and the acid takes place more rapidly.P3OBuTh with a butoxy substituent undergoes more facile p-doping and receives photochemical reaction with CHCl3,and this reaction obeys a pseudo-first-order rate law with a rate constant kobs of 1.42×10-5s-1at room tempera- ture.  相似文献

Pluchea indica (L.) Less. (Asteraceae) commonly known as Indian camphorweed, pluchea, or marsh fleabane has gained great importance in various traditional medicines for its nutritional and medicinal benefits. It is utilized to cure several illnesses such as lumbago, kidney stones, leucorrhea, inflammation, gangrenous and atonic ulcer, hemorrhoids, dysentery, eye diseases, itchy skin, acid stomach, dysuria, abdominal pain, scabies, fever, sore muscles, dysentery, diabetes, rheumatism, etc. The plant or its leaves in the form of tea are commonly used for treating diabetes and rheumatism. The plant is a rich source of calcium, vitamin C, dietary fiber, and β-carotene. Various biomolecules have been isolated from P. indica, including thiophenes, terpenes, quinic acids, sterols, lignans, phenolics, and flavonoids. The current review reports detailed information about the phytoconstituents and pharmacological relevance of P. indica and the link to its traditional uses. The reported studies validated the efficacy and safety of P. indica, as well as supported its traditional uses for treating various ailments and promoting health and well-being. Thus, this could encourage the development of this plant into a healthy food supplement or medicine for the prevention and treatment of various diseases. However, further studies on the drug interactions, mechanism of action, pharmacokinetics, toxicology, and metabolism, as well as clinical trials, should be carried out.  相似文献

Cultivation location, maturity levels, and extraction solvents could affect the bioactive compounds and biological activities of mulberry (Morus alba Linnaeus). The lack of study on Malaysia-grown mulberry causes its underutilization. This study investigated the bioactive compound content and the antioxidant activity of Sabah-grown mulberry at two different maturity stages (fruits: red mature and black fully ripe; leaves: young and mature) extracted using 70% (v/v) methanol, 60% (v/v) ethanol, and 65% (v/v) acetone. Analyses showed that mulberry fruits demonstrated maturity-dependent increment (except UHPLC-DAD quantification), while the leaves revealed maturity-dependent reduction. Principal component analysis (PCA) displayed 65% (v/v) acetone black fully ripe fruits as the best phenolics and antioxidant sources. However, the 60% (v/v) ethanol black fully ripe fruits contained 20.08–68.43% higher total anthocyanins. Meanwhile, the 65% (v/v) acetone and 70% (v/v) methanol red mature fruits were higher in chlorogenic acid (27.53–47.12%) and rutin (31.42–35.92%) than other fruit extracts, respectively. For leaves, 65% (v/v) acetone young leaves were the best phenolics and antioxidant sources. However, the 60% (v/v) ethanol young leaves possessed greater chlorogenic acid (19.56–74.11%) than other leaf extracts. Overall, Malaysia-grown mulberry is rich in phenolics and antioxidants, suggesting its potential application in food and pharmaceutical products.  相似文献

Biofilm control by essential oil (EO) application has recently increased to preclude biofilm production on foods and environmental surfaces. In this work, the anti-biofilm effects of garlic and thyme essential oils using the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) method against Salmonella typhimurium recovered from different abattoir samples were investigated along with the virulence genes (InvA, SdiA and Stn genes), and the antimicrobial susceptibility profile of S. typhimurium as well. The obtained results revealed that S. typhimurium contaminated abattoir samples to varying degrees. The InvA gene was investigated in all isolates, whereas the SdiA and Stn genes were observed in four and three isolates, respectively. Utilizing the disc diffusion method, S. typhimurium isolates demonstrated substantial resistance to most of the examined antibiotics with a high multiple antibiotic resistance index. S. typhimurium isolates demonstrated biofilm formation abilities to various degrees at varied temperatures levels (4 °C and 37 °C). In conclusion, the obtained samples from the research area are regarded as a potential S. typhimurium contamination source. Furthermore, garlic essential oil (GEO) has more potential to inhibit S. typhimurium biofilm at different sub-minimum inhibitory concentrations as compared to thyme essential oil (TEO). Therefore, these EOs are considered as potential natural antibacterial options that could be applied in food industry.  相似文献

A simple, rapid, selective and sensitive method for the micro amount determination of phenylephrine hydrochloride either in pure form (raw material) or in pharmaceutical formulations is described. The method is based on the development of violet colour charge transfer complex with haematoxylin in alkaline medium with 10 min after heating at 65 °C. The wavelength and maximum absorption range was found in the range from 640 to 620 nm. Molar absorptivity and Sandell sensitivity were found to be 2.38 × 104 L mol− 1 cm− 1 and 8.6 ng cm− 2 respectively. A linear correlation was found between absorbance (at the λmax) and concentration. The resulting colour is stable for more than 10 h. Results of the analyses of pure drug and dosage forms by the proposed method are in good agreement with those of the official BP 1998 procedure.  相似文献

A bright green CoCu(PMP)(OH)2(H2O)2 complex was synthesized. Its structure was elucidated and characterized by different spectroscopic techniques. Both cobalt and copper atoms attain tetrahedral geometry. The complex was investigated by the dielectric relaxation spectroscopy. The dielectric parameters are discussed in terms of temperature and frequency changes. The conductivity of the complex decreased as the temperature increased in the temperature range 30-100 degrees C, while above this temperature range stepwise increase in the conductivity was observed.  相似文献
