Synthesis and structure of new 2,4-dicyano-6-oxo-3-phenylbicyclo[3.2.1]octane-2,4-dicarboxylates

The sequential reaction of furfural with cyclic secondary amines and further with benzaldehyde and cyanoacetates affords new 2,4-dicyano-8-(R₂N)-6-oxo-3-phenylbicyclo[3.2.1]-octane-2,4-dicarboxylates as rac-(1R,2R,3R,4S,5S,8R)-diastereomers. The structures of the reaction products were determined by X-ray diffraction.

     

Thermodynamics of dissolved nitrogen,nitrous oxide,and ammonia in perfluorodecalin

The solubility of N₂, N₂O, and NН₃ is studied in different organic solvents. The best dissolution (0.27 ppm) is found to be for N₂O in perfluorodecalin at 291 K and a pressure of 99 kPa. The dependence of N₂O solubility in perfluorodecalin on pressure is studied at 291 K. The Gibbs energy of the solubility of nitrogen, nitrous oxide, and ammonia in perfluorodecalin is calculated.     

Convergence rate estimates for a projection-difference scheme as applied to the nonstationary stokes equation in cylindrical coordinates

An implicit projection-difference scheme is constructed for the nonstationary Stokes equation in cylindrical coordinates. No axial symmetry is assumed. Under minimal assumptions about the initial data, convergence rate estimates are obtained that are uniform in the inner radius of the domain of order (τ^1/2 + h)^α, α = 1, 2. The results remain valid for domains with no hole and in the case of Cartesian coordinates.     

Features of the oxidation of C<Subscript>60</Subscript> and C<Subscript>70</Subscript> fullerites as studied by IR spectroscopy

Features of the oxidation of C₆₀ and C₇₀ fullerites were studied by infrared spectroscopy. It was shown that for C₆₀ fullerite, the presence of toluene residue reduces the temperature at which oxidation starts. The form of the toluene (solvate or nonsolvate) is not important. A low-frequency shift in the valence C-O-C vibrations of C₇₀ fullerene due to local steric strains was discovered.     

Reaction of 6(7)-acyl-and 6(7)-formylperimidines with 1,3,5-triazines in poly-phosphoric acid

A method has been developed for the synthesis of 1,3,7-triazapyrenes using the reaction of 6(7)-formyl-and 6(7)-benzoylperimidines with 1,3,5-triazines in PPA. Under these conditions, 6(7)-formylperimidine reacts with 2,4,6-trimethyl-1,3,5-triazine to give 6-hydroxy-1,3-diazapyrene. __________ Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 7, pp. 1080–1084, July, 2008.
