Unsteady turbulent near wake of a rectangular cylinder in channel flow has been studied experimentally with a laser Doppler
velocimetry (LDV). The time-averaged and phase-averaged statistics were measured for the cylinders having various width-to-height
ratios, b/h. It is shown that the turbulent intensities on the centerline of the channel have their maxima near the rear stagnation point
of a recirculation region. The contours of coherent vorticity and streamline reproduce clearly the shed vortices from the
cylinder observed by the flow visualization. The characteristics of the flow field, which depends on b/h, are discussed and the significant contribution of the coherent structure to the flow field is clarified. Moreover, the turbulent
kinetic energy budget has been examined.

The IR and Raman spectra of the two polymorphic forms (58 degree- and 68 degree-forms) of cis-cinnamic acid were measured, and the spectral differences discussed on the basis of the crystal structures of the two forms. The IR bands related to the COOH group differ in the frequencies and band shape, reflecting differences in the hydrogen bonding between the two modifications. These spectra were compared with those of trans-cinnamic acid. The IR, Raman, and NMR spectra of the isotopic compounds, including the deuterated and 13C analogs of the cis and trans acids, were also recorded in the solid state and in solution to confirm the spectral assignments. 相似文献

Asymmetric catalysts, prepared by chiral ligand exchange or chiral modification, can evolve further into highly activated catalysts through engineering with chiral activators. Two new methodologies for "super high-throughput screening" (SHTS) of chiral ligands and activators have been developed as a combination of HPLC-CD/UV (CD/ UV = circular dichroism/ultraviolet spectroscopy) or -OR/RIU (OR/RIU = optical rotation/refractive index unit) with a combinatorial chemistry (CC) factory. With these techniques, the % ee of the product is determined within minutes without separation of the enantiomeric products by using a nonchiral stationary phase. Therefore, those SHTS techniques combined with our 'asymmetric activation' concept can provide a powerful strategy for finding the best activated chiral catalyst. 相似文献

A single step on-line concentration and separation method for peptides in non-aqueous capillary electrophoresis was developed. ACN containing 50 mM tetraethylammonium perchlorate was used as the electrophoretic medium; angiotensins I-IV were separated as a result of the differences in the magnitudes of their interactions with perchlorate anions. When the sample solution (ACN containing 0.5% trifluoroacetic acid and angiotensins) was injected as a large-volume plug, the analytes were concentrated at the inlet end of the capillary by both sweeping and stacking mechanisms; the separation procedure then started automatically without any operations such as polarity change. It was found that the concentration of analytes, injection period, and concentration of tetraethylammonium perchlorate in the electrophoretic medium were important factors for both separation and concentration efficiencies. The angiotensins were concentrated and separated with the large-volume injection of up to 80% of the effective capillary length. 相似文献
